~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" "Yes my ferret, you idiot!" he growled, trying visibly hard not to set something on fire with the wand that seemed hot in his back pocket. But the youth seemed to calm down when Moxy freed herself and scampered towards him. Ea scooped her up and placed her in her usual spot in his hood where she immediately curled up into a ball. ea seemed to cool down as he pulled his sneaker back on. As he did, he noticed that Felix was crying. Again. Ea didn't know the guy too well, but knew he cried. A lot. For some reason, Ea took pity on the kid instead of a full-out-rampage.
"Oh please don't start crying." Ea said, accidentally sounding a tad mean. But the kid was lucky his nice broomstick wasn't on fire. It was apparent from his expression that Ea was slightly sorry for being mad, but that he had little patience for tears. It was mostly because he wouldn't know what to do. The fiery teen was far from comforting most of the time. "Listen, I'm sure... Snickers? Yeah, I'm sure he'll turn up." he said in what seemed to be a painful attempt at kindness. He gave Felix what he thought was a comforting pat on the back before awkwardly muttering "Er... There, there..." and pulling away, looking like he'd gag from the overdose of kindness he'd given. He was relieved when the other ferret showed up. "That must be him there." Ea said, hoping that this would be an end to the tears that he didn't really care about. "Now pull yourself together already.""Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

Johnathon seemed hardly affected by the coldness Angelica treated him with. He was used to it, seeing as he hung around Anna more than anyone else. His smile grew when Angelica expressed interest the party...whereas this Seamus kid completely ignored his question. Pushing the boy out of his mind, he focused on Angelica for the time being. "The parties over in Hogsmeade. If you're up for sneaking out, Anna can lead you there, if you'd like." he replied, obviously thrilled that someone seemed interested in what he had to say.
Anna continued to stare down at her feet, seemingly unaware of the conversation that was still being had between Johnathon and the two Slytherins. She was, however, incredibly aware of the fact that a ferret had decided to make its home on her foot. Her first instinct was to kick it. By some miracle, she held back the urge, especially since it struck her that it was likely Felix's ferret. And kicking it would ensure that Felix would never stop crying.
Sighing, she bent down so her knees were pressed against her chest and scratched the ferret's head, not entirely sure of what to do. She didn't have to ponder on it for long, seeing as Felix quickly made an appearance. Once the ferret was in the Hufflepuff's hands, Anna stood back up, straightening out her clothing. "It's alright, Felix. He wasn't doing any harm." she said quickly, hoping to comfort the boy. The last thing she needed was the kid crying. She doubted she'd be able to handle it today.
Just when she thought the ordeal was good and over with, another voice joined the mix. The boy's words immediately grated on her nerves, and she folded her arms over her chest. She managed to keep quiet until Felix started crying and the new Gryffindor started throwing around insults. "Yeah? And why do you say that? All these weasels look the bloody same. Anyone could have made the mistake." She only stopped when she felt Johnathon's hand on her shoulder, and faced forward again, glaring at Seamus, who had been lucky enough to be standing right in front of her.

Angelica met Johnathon's eyes as he explained about the party. Her half-smiled turned into a real one as he explained that it was in Hogsmeade. "Sounds perfect, I would love to--" she began to say, but before she could finish her sentence an animal darted onto Anna's shoe. Wrinkling up her nose, Angelica took a step away from the girl, closer to Seamus. What a vile creature. Now there seemed to be two running around the grounds. Great. All they needed was the other one to show up--
"Snickers!" Angelica sighed. Of course Felix was here. He practically dove onto Anna's shoe to retrieve the ferret that he thought was his. Angelica raised an eyebrow. If that was the same ferret, it looked very different to her. Turning away from the Hufflepuff and the animal he now was cradling in his arms, she looked back to Johnathon. "Anyway, I would love to--"
This time, she was interrupted by a loud shout from the forest. "For Merlin's sake, I'm trying to bloody speak here!" Angelica rounded on the boy who was emerging from the forest and narrowed her eyes at him. The boy approached the group which was, to Angelica's dismay, growing in size. He confronted Felix about hijacking his ferret. Seamus voiced Angelica's thoughts on the situation, to which she replied, "It certainly bloody seems so." She was getting more angry as more people joined the group, and the tone of her voice showed that perfectly. After an exchange from the Hufflepuff and the new boy, the first ferret hopped over to his owner and Felix's real ferret appeared, attacking Seamus's shoes as was his usual custom.
Angelica wrinkled her nose once more at the second rodent when the new boy spoke, rather angrily, to Felix. Felix began to cry, and the new boy seemed to want to calm him down. Anna spoke up, and after she had finished, Angelica did too. "Maybe he wouldn't be crying if you hadn't been so bloody rude. It was a mistake." She had officially given up hope on finding out more about the Hogsmeade party, and wanted to take out her aggression on someone who deserved it.

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" At Anna's response he got a little ruffled. And hen the Slytherin girl went and called him rude. she was right, but he was too razzled to care. "No, they look completely different-" he began to rant. But a n** on the ear from Moxy warned him to take yet another calming breath. "I'm.. sorry Felix." he said painfully, "I guess I'm over-reacting. You probably couldn't tell the difference 'cause you were so high up." he said as calmly as he could. Moxy popped up and gave Ea a little pat on the head in approval before slinking back into his hood. His face took on a look of concentration as he tried to ease his temper down. Imagining the lake often helped. Especially the little lagoon he'd just come from behind the bushes. In fact, he should be heading back there now, his friends would wonder what was taking him so long.
Deciding it was time to make his excuses and go, Ea mumbled something about his friends wondering where he was and took a less frantic walk back where he came through the woods. This time though, he used his slightly ominous black wand to clear a pathway to where he was heading, not thinking anyone would follow.
The air in the thicket was damp and earthy from years of decaying leaves and rotten logs. The spindly trees with their tall but slender trunks partially blotted the sun with their leaves, making the light come down in shafts towards the undergrowth. Ea expertly weaved his way over the sticks and stones of the small woods, using his wand to push aside the thorny vines as he went. Moxy poked her head out of the hood and nibbled on his earlobe. "Don't give me that," Ea groaned. "I got mad I apologized, case closed, you little thief." he muttered irritably. Moxy had a habit of reprimanding Ea when he lost his temper at unnecessary times. Like what happened back with that group not a moment ago. He would have pursued his argument towards his ferret when a ghastly wail echoed from the lake, audible for a long ways off. "Alright, I'm coming. No need to get your fins in a knot!" he responded loudly at his impatient friends in the lake. He began pushing on a little faster now, still using his black wand to clear the way."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

Johnathon mentioned the party again, and this time Seamus actually heard him.To Angelica he said, "I doubt we'd need much help with that, at least I won't, but I'd be a cad if I didn't offer to help you out of the castle." Seamus had only been caught sneaking out of the castle once, and now that he was Prefect for Slytherin, he was certain it would be that much easier to escape punishment in the future.
As the group weighed in against the disheveled ferret owner, Seamus took the scene in through narrowed eyes. It wasn't the first time the collection of students had banded against someone for making Felix cry. It was sort of disgusting. Before he had the chance to throw in his own two cents another bloody ferret burst onto the scene and attached himself firmly to Seamus' dark dress shoes. "Oh bloody hell! These aren't even the same pair. Git off me," he shook his foot gently. There would be hell to pay for squishing the little bugger. "This is Snickers then. Felix, get him off or I'll be shaking him into the lake in a moment."

I'm Not Some Cry Baby! I'm Just Over Emotional Alot... But Don't Count Me Out! I'll Surprise You All Yet...
(( Yay! Seamus and Snickers reunited lol ))
Felix whimpered as the boy yelled louder. He didn't mean to pick up the wrong ferret. As the other boy's ferret ran to him and was picked up, Felix could clearly see the difference. Heat rushed into his cheeks, which wasn't helping the tears brimming at his eyes. The boy then yelled for Felix not to cry, like a cruel tone like that was going to calm Felix. He couldn't help crying. He just couldn't.
Felix was rubbing his eyes to try and hide the tears that escaped his eyes now. Felix heard Anna's words about how they all look the same. "You may see them as the same, but they aren't... I see it now... I should know S-Snickers better than this..." He said, chocking a little on the word Snickers.
Felix could hear Angelica trying to ignore what was happening and continue speaking. But she only got angry as things got worse. Felix moved a little away from her. But then Snickers really did appear, the boy pointing him out. Felix smiled, which looked funny with his tear soaked cheeks. He rushed forward as Seamus started to freak, shaking the poor little ferret.
Felix tried to hold Seamus' leg steady so he could pick up Snickers and avoid being kicked in the face by Seamus' flailing. Of course, Seamus was stronger than Felix so he wasn't succeeding much in holding Seamus still, but he was avoiding being kicked in the face. He pulled Snickers into his arms and smiled, hugging his ferret. "You cause too much trouble..." Felix whispered to the animal as he moved away from Seamus.
But the boy was talking again. Reminding him the ferrets were different. His eyes brimmed with tears again, but he tried to hold onto his smile even if his lower lip quivered just a little. He nodded to the boy's words as he decided to disappear to where he came from. Felix looked back to the others. He should go to. "I'm really sorry everyone... Especially to you Seamus..." Felix whispered as he backed away. Then he turned and started to walk back to the Pitch. He still needed to put his broom way, which he picked up from its dropped spot on the ground.

It was terribly stuffy inside the castle. So much so that it drove Tomoko out onto the grounds for a bit of fresh air and a leg stretch. As she walked along the shore of the lake, she fingered her hair into a lopsided ponytail. Unsatisfied, she made another attempt. Five re-dos later and the Hufflepuff decided to just leave her hair down. She strolled along leisurely swinging her arms as she went and humming to herself. A piece of her favorite green-tea flavored gum was still in her mouth from when she had been studying. Munching it absentmindedly, she continued her walk until she came upon a toad. It blinked at her and she blinked back.
"Hikigaeru~" she said, extending her wand arm and pointing at the toad with her finger. Squatting down, Tomo pressed her knees to her chest and watched the toad. It inflated itself and let out a slow "croak". The fifth year blew a large bubble with her gum in response. She must have blown a bit too much because the gum bubble burst with a loud "pop"! The toad took off hopping away the girl. "Aaaah! Gomen nasai!" Tomoko apologized after the frog and shuffled along behind it, still crouched down. It was going the wrong way! It'd want to go back into the water, wouldn't it?
Tomo followed the toad, not paying much attention to her surroundings. She was very determined to grab it and bring it back to its watery home. When the little creature dove into a mole hole, the Hufflepuff had to admit defeat. It was then that she noticed she was only a few feet away from a gathering of other students. And here she was, practically sitting in the mud! In her rush to get up, she stepped in the mole hole and promptly tripped onto her face.

Angelica had narrowed her eyes at the boy with the other ferret when he dared to talk back to Anna. That wouldn't do, not at all. Someone needed to learn their place. Fortunately, he stopped himself before he had dug himself in too deep, and apologized to the Hufflepuff. Angelica took a deep breath to calm herself down. She wouldn't have hesitated to hex him if he had kept on. Fortunately, he hadn't. He turned and began to walk back into the forest with his ferret. Rolling her eyes a bit, Angelica looked away from where he had entered the forest. Out of sight, out of mind.
Seamus helped to push the boy even further from her mind when he mentioned the party. "What makes you so sure I need your help to get out of the castle, hm? I've done it before, I'll be able to do it for this party. Unless you want to...go together," she said, her eyebrow raising as she said the last two words of her sentence. Seamus would never be interested in going to a party with one girl as his date, but Angelica supposed it wouldn't hurt to try. He was certainly nice to look at, and he would complement her appearance as well. It would look good for Angelica's family if she got close to the son of another pureblood family. Realizing she was getting terribly ahead of herself, Angelica shook her head slightly to bring herself back to the present, only to notice Felix's ferret on Seamus's shoe. Stifling a small laugh as Seamus tried to kick him off without being too rough, she said, "You just can't help but attract vermin, can you, Seamus?"
As she said this, Felix retrieved his ferret, in tears again. Rolling her eyes, Angelica watched as the boy apologized to Seamus and then scampered away. Angelica was relieved to see him go, but also felt a small pang of pity. It wasn't his fault that he was such a crybaby. Ah well. He'll have to grow up sooner or later. Beyond Felix, another Hufflepuff was shuffling along, crouched down like a toad. Arching one eyebrow, Angelica watched, bemused, as she moved along the ground at a slow but steady pace. Finally realizing that she was in public and looking quite foolish, the girl stood up and, in true Hufflepuff fashion, clumsily tripped over something and fell flat on her face. Angelica let out a short burst of laughter, but quickly covered her hand with her mouth. Even though she was amused by the girl's faceplant, the others in the group might not be. Flipping her hair over her shoulder, Angelica smirked. "You there, Hufflepuff. Are you alright?" She wasn't going to go and help the girl up, but she could at least pretend to care that she might be hurt.

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" Ea moved carefully through the brush and looked out onto a worn gazebo of craved stone, constantly attacked by vines and lichen. Next to it was a patio with steps leading onto the black lake. There were green Lilly pads and the surface reflected a clear blue sky with fluffy clouds. But as the slender young man stepped out from the bushes, there was immediate movement beneath the surface. Aside from the splash and the wave, a scaly tail slid in and out of sight beneath the lily pads. Despite the obvious signs that there was something large and fast beneath the water, Ea kept on moving closer, completely at ease. He took off his shoes and socks and rolled up his jeans before sitting on the steps and dunking his feet into the dark water.
The creature beneath the surface poked its head out of the water not ten feet away and began to utter a ghastly scream that could be heard a long ways away. The scream undulated and paused and seemed to form a type of speech. The creature itself had large golden eyes and an alien appearance, with a scalp of wavy golden hair-like tendrils that stood out against the blue-green skin. Ea "screamed" back, making a sound that translated to 'Hello Andromeda, I am sorry for needing to leave. The mammal that is mine stole my possession.' The creature looked at him expectantly for further explanation, so Ea did the best he could to tell the mermaid how Moxy had stolen his shoe and how someone had mistaken her for his own ferret. After he was done, he coughed a little, his throat sore from the screaming session. Andromeda laughed at this and used her large tail to send a splash his way before laughing again, a sound like the chattering of a dolphin."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

Seamus tried to keep still while Felix reached for the animal, but it kept tickling his leg as it's tail swept under his pants cuff. He cast a dark glance at Angelica, who could barely suppress her laughter. "Keep being so clever and you'll have to go alone to the party, won't you?" It would do well for him to show up with her on his arm, and it wasn't a stone commitment, which made Seamus feel quite fine with the idea.
Finally Felix got a grip on the ferret and he was freed. He tried not to scoff when the Hufflepuff apologized. A lot of bloody good that does for my shoe. But there was no point in getting upset, the boy was so bloody fragile! He gave his leg a final shake in disgust. In a blink, Felix was off from the group as well, back towards wherever his beast had lead him away from. As Seamus watched him go, his eyes were drawn to a sudden wild movement in his periphery. Another Hufflepuff, a female, had face-planted into the mud beside them. "We are some sort of bloody weird magnet for all this today aren't we?"
ooc~ I am gnawing the crap out of my chocolate frog right now. It feels right to HP role play alongside it! haha

"You should apologize to that kid." Johnathon suggested, once again prodding Anna in the side. She scowled, and once more slapped his hand away. "Why? It's not like I'll get anything from it." she remarked, still scowling. Johnathon opened his mouth to say something, then closed it again. He had learned over the years that there was no hope in arguing with Anna when she was moody, but there was always other solutions. Tuning back into the conversation between Seamus and Angelica, he clicked his tongue a few times. "It's actually more fun to go alone to these things. Easier to hook up and all that. Anna would know." Most of the colour drained out of Anna's face and her eyes widened slightly, though she didn't say anything. Johnathon kept right on. "She snogged eight people at this one party. The best thing is only two of them had a Y chromo-" Anna cut him off, looking like she wanted to punch him. Hard. "Fine. I'll go bloody apologize. Not that I did anything."
And with that, she turned around and stormed off towards the pathway the boy had cleared as he walked off. Johnathon turned around slightly to make sure she was going where she was supposed to be, and couldn't resist a parting shot. "Hey Anna, you want some fries with that shake?" Anna didn't answer or turn around, just raised up an arm to flip him off. Johnathon laughed, mumbled something about that being the most ladylike thing he'd ever seen out of her, and turned back around, watching curiously as Felix finally managed to get the ferret off of Seamus' leg before leaving in a rush. He hadn't been around Felix for long, but he figured that was how the boy worked. While watching the boy leave, his eyes caught another Hufflepuff, a girl this time, shuffling about on the ground. Until she tried to get up and promptly landed face first in the mud. He heard Angelica laugh, and looked over at the two Slytherins, confused. "Aren't you going to...nevermind." Letting out a sigh, he left the two Slytherins and walked over towards the girl still laying in the mud. Leaning over, he nudged her shoulder, half wondering if she had choked to death in the mud. "You alright there, Hufflepuff?"
---
Anna moved slowly through the pathway that Ea had created, silently thankful that she was short and small enough not to be hit by any of the stray vines or thorns. And it didn't much help that she kept hearing screeches coming from the exact direction she was going. Deciding to be on the safe side, she took her wand out of the waistband of her skirt, hoping she wouldn't have to use it. It was more likely to backfire than do what it's told.
After some time, she made it out of the brush and found herself looking at Ea's back. Letting out a content sigh, she quickened her pace towards him, not yet noticing the creature in the water. When she did, she stopped suddenly near the steps, having to catch herself. Her eyes widened, and she was unsure of what exactly to say. Somehow, she found her voice again. "This your friend that was wondering about you?" she asked, managing to keep her voice calm.

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" Andromeda swam herself closer to the shore and leaned on a step to his left and said "Ea very must learn to hold anger. If not, how will Ea find clan for him? How will Ea find mate? Good landwalker females not like angry males." At least that's what Ea got from the series of sounds. His lessons in Mermish were a tad lacking since his tutors couldn't very well speak English. There was also the problem that many words in English or any other 'landwalker' tongue didn't translate into Mermish. After all, Mermaids didn't see things that were far from the shores of the water they lived in. So Ea had to improvise from the Mermish words already available. All the same, he did have a reply to the mate comment. "I do not search for mates presently. So shove that up your-" he began to shout moodily, causing Andromeda to laugh. She knew that the boy held no ill-will, and was just trying to conceal his problems with anger.
But in Sudden alarm, Andromeda's dolphin-laughs ceased. A girl had come through the brush without their notice and was speaking to Ea. The Mermaid reacted by hissing out an alarm call and sinking till only her eyeballs-up were showing, looking at Anna with those enormous golden spheres. Ea was so startled that he appeared to have jumped out of his skin. He was on his feet, ready to react when he stumbled back into the water. Rising up as quick as he could while being laughed at by a mermaid and clawed at by an alarmed ferret, Ea pulled out his wand and looked directly at the source of the voice. Needless to say, Ea didn't look too pleased.
Gritting his teeth, he climbed back onto the steps, pulled a soaked ferret out from his hood, and used his wand to dry himself. "Yes. She is." he seethed. Color flooded to the snappy youth's cheeks as he struggled to control a now stressed temper. 'Not her fault' he said to himself, trying not to overreact to an accident. 'just take a deep breath and calm down.' And so he did, becoming slightly less hostile. "If you're here about Felix, I already apologized." he said testily before scooping up a sorry-looking Moxy and using a drying spell on her too, making her look like a long ball of fuzz as he held her by her armpits in one hand. She seemed not to mind being dangled, and licked Ea's hand as if to remind him to stay calm."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

The first thing Tomo noticed after receiving a face-full of dirt and grass was that from a short distance off came a mocking laugh. It didn't last long, but it was still quite obvious. What seemed like the same voice called out, asking if Tomoko was alright. Underneath the mud, the Hufflepuff's cheeks turned bright red. She had a fleeting and stupid thought that if she just stayed still, the group would go away and forget they had ever seen her. Although fully willing to put this idea to the test, she didn't get the chance.
Tomo shot up when she felt someone touch her shoulder. She looked quite the sight and was sure the heat radiating from her face was drying the mud. It took her a moment to realize that she had been spoken to by the boy in front of her. "Oh... I am alright..." She spoke sheepishly, keeping her eyes on her toes. "Sorry..." Using her arm, she wiped her face clean as best she could. Why did these things always happen to her?

Anna placed a hand over her mouth in surprise when Ea fell back into the water. She hadn't meant to startle him, but it appeared that was exactly what she had managed to do. Trying to think of something to say, she moved towards the water, hoping to help him out of the water. Once she saw the look on his face, along with his now pulled out wand, she stopped, narrowing her eyes and gripping her wand a little tighter...not that she'd use it. It was more likely to backfire on her.
Resigned to just watching the Gryffindor struggle to get out of the water, she tried to work out something to say. Once he was out of the water and completely dry, she parted her lips to say something, but clamped her jaw shut as soon as he began to speak. She waited for him to finish drying his ferret off before she replied. "I came here to apologize. I shouldn't have snapped at you." she said, trying to keep her voice calm though she wanted to do anything but. "It's not your fault Felix's waterworks never turn off." she paused for a moment, chewing on her lower lip as was her normal nervous habit. Glancing past him, she looked at the creature in the water for a moment before fixing her gaze back on him, praying he wouldn't take what she said poorly.
---
Johnathon blinked a few times in surprise when the Hufflepuff girl shot up from the ground, and after a moment stood back up, brushing his hands on the back of his robe. Arching an eyebrow, he waited for her to reply to his question, pulling out his wand as he did. After the girl mumbled and apology, though he wasn't sure why, he placed an easy smile on his face. "Here. Let's get you cleaned up." he said cheerfully before mumbling Scourgify and looking quite pleased with himself as the mud disappeared off of the Hufflepuff's uniform.

xxxxxxxx•ĶáŜŝÃňĐŗΆ ♥ κΑÿŁěĚ ♥ ĶñÎģĦτ • Kassie sighed as she wandered the Hogwarts grounds. It couldn‘t have been a more beautiful day. Bright sunshine that reflected off her golden blonde hair and a cloudless sky that was blue like her eyes. Today couldn‘t be more boring. Class was a drag as usual and she hadn‘t seen anyone that seemed remotely interested in talking to her. This upset Kassie slightly but she didn‘t let it bother her. She continued to think of what she would do, as she continued to roam the grounds. She arrived at the lake where there were tons of people around her, but they all looked busy. Kassie sighed and sat down at the edge of the lake. She took off her shoes and socks and dipped her feet into the cool water. She let out another sigh and closed her eyes, feeling the sunshine.
