I love my Revolver, a Ruger GP 100! Fun as hell to shoot and the ammo is affordable enough that I can go shooting once or twice a week! I owned a Springfield xd 45 compact before the Ruger it was fun to shoot but the ammo was so expensive I rarely was able to afford going to the range. My Ruger is also more accurate.

Bolt-action rifles and revolvers for me. I don't yet own a firearm, but my first one is going to be a Mosin-Nagant 1891. Afterwards, I'm thinking of getting a Nagant M1895 revolver for my home defense purposes. I love anything military or paramilitary that was produced before 1950, with a few exceptions (like the Dragunov SVD).

Ethereal Cereal Bolt-action rifles and revolvers for me. I had one. just some forewarning. it has like a 20+lb trigger pull for double action so youre going to essentially NEED to fire it single action.... ammo is expensive and hard to find. I saved a little bit by shooting 32 long and 32 magnum from the original cylinder which is generally safe to do but even those rounds are unreasonably expensive. sure, it's cheap for the gun, but by the time you pay for 3 boxes of ammo you begin to realize you could have bought another one. so I got rid of mine as fast as I could for a 91/30 mosin and never regretted it ever since
