The hand upon her head, tangled in the pale strands of her hair encouraged her, and she let the hand on his hip rest more solidly. Breath held as if even the tiniest movement might shatter the moment. It was her first kiss, and under the soft rain of pale petals, the moment was just about perfect.
When he drew back she let him, heavy lids barely raising enough to look up at him through a veil of pale lashes. Searching his face, but whatever she saw there made her drop her chin, head turning to look away. Her heart was pounding in her chest, stomach full and alive with the wings of butterflies, but what she'd seen reflected in his dark eyes was uncertainty, and she didn't want to see that. No, she'd pretend that confusion had not crossed his features.
She glanced back up when he spoke, and when he offered his hand she took it, dark fingers slipping between his, not quite clutching at him, but holding tighter then perhaps she realized. The excited flutter in her stomach was morphing into something worried and nervous, and the loop-sided smile he gave her only made it worst.
"Just to the artisan's path is fine," she murmured, letting her gaze drop. "I need to talk to one of the craftsman." She forced her voice a little higher, more normal. Forced her mood back into something close to what it had been. Refusing to let an awkward kiss ruin a perfectly good day. Besides, for all she knew all firsts kisses were awkward.

Huang hated to see that her face fell but couldn't explain to her why he had felt such discouragement from the kiss himself. Hell, He didn't even know why he himself should be so unsatisfied, Shin was, If not a beautiful and Lovely woman and he should be lucky to be acquainted with her so well.
Even so, it nagged at him to find that he was so worried about the problem at hand. Her hand had taken his tightly in her own and he knew that she knew...or maybe he over thought this, But she knew exactly how he stood on it.
"Ah...Then i will...uh take you there..." His cheeks heated in embarrassment, for her and himself, partly because of said kiss and partly because her voice had found the volume two cranks up. However this didn't stop him from being a gentlemen and escorting her to the Artisan's Path. He held her hand in his still, trying to be unawkward as possible. Was this how it always was when one kissed each other? Huang blushed deepened, kissed her, even if it had been awkward had been something new and for all he knew, maybe he had done something wrong?
As they neared the path, Huang slipped his hand from hers to touch her cheek, though he hesitated before letting it drop, leaving her cheek bare from his fingers. "Until Next time Lady Shin..." Huang cocked his head in a respectful bow before turning to leave. He had much to think about.

The thoughts that had swirled within her head had been conflicting and unhelpful as the continued walking. She didn't understand her own feelings, much less those of the man at her side. Dwelling on any niggling feeling was almost torturous, so she shoved it all aside. She'd never before felt anything close to what she felt for Huang, and considering her completely lack of experience with people, let along relationships, she could say what was, or wasn't normal. She filed it away for later, much later, and worked at enjoying the rest of her short time with Huang.
Glancing up to her side, she gave the other lunarian's arm and hand a gentle squeeze, reassuring him, and herself. As they neared the artisan's path and came to a stop she let his hand slip away and turned to face him as he said his good byes.
"Until next time, Huang Fu. I look forward to it." She smiled, and even considering the slight awkwardness that now surrounded them, it was beautiful and light. She dipped her chin, returning the bow, but caught his hand before he could go. Stepping in to lay a featherlight kiss on his cheek before letting her hand slip away. "Thank you for the walk, it was most enjoyable."
She let him go, and turned herself to leave, thin chest raising in an uneasy sigh. Again, she pushed the worrisome thoughts aside and focused on what a glorious day it'd been, and the smile that'd been fading shown a little brighter as she began her walk home.
