he looked at astro once again before letting out a tiny whisper of a " thank you" out of his mouth , as the storm began to get worse and the wind blowing through the tress, " this is kinda rough" and the lightening began to flash as the thunder sounded great waves of volume. his fur all tangeled and notted he raised his head from the round and pulled some large leaves over towards him as he extented his large wings out . " i am only offereing once get under or get completely soaked and cold?"

"your welcome" he said, and contemplating what he should do the storm didn't look like it was getting any better. He nodded his head lightly and inched under the shade of his wing, keeping a distance from him so he wasn't completely touching him.

as the wind got strong he strenght began to get weaker, his winges felt heavy and lost the hight and sank down to the ground, his other two wings lay ontop of astro's back as his eyes started to close and his body shake from the cold, the rain had now start to slow down but lightening stregth was almost out and he is as cold as ice. his eyes completely closed as he takes slow breaths and his injured paw goes a blue color

Astro noticing the decrease in Lightning strength inches closer to him. 'i'm only doing this once'. He inched a little closer to Lightning in and effort to warm the other. He glanced at the injured paw and looked around for something to wrap around it temporarily, he took a breath and darted out from the shade of the wings and pulled on some leaves drying them and then wrapping it around the injured paw.

a good hour passed and Lightening's breathing got alot lighter his paw Started to dry upp and the sun burst out from the gloomy skys causing a rainbow right infront of astro and lightening, as he opens his eyes he raises his body and lightly shake of his wings, to see astro side by him. " I am sorry, thank you" he gently whispered. having not knowing what to say, he looks at the rainbow as his fur begins to dry up. still a little weak and unable to move for the time being

"your welcome" he said before crawling out from under the shade of Lightnings wings and stopping in front of him at a distance. He sat down and started to clean himself. He shook out his fur droplets from getting leaves to wrap around the injured paw.

Lightening yawned before standing up and limping with his paw. he hid his wings away, and looked at astro " Listen thanks for you help, i hope you make it home alright, i will see ya around astro" and with that lightening turned around and walked into the forest and headed south towards his home, taking it easy and not over working his paw

Astro blinks "well..okay..no problem" he said and turned to go his own separate way. He strolled along the pathway and watched the different colors of the rainbow sparkle with water droplets from the rain.
