"I dunno.. Who knows how the Gaian government truly works anymore.. After Gambino died, the whole world seems to be on edge.." Alome just sighed once more, but smiled.. Atleast someone was listening to her now.. And it felt so so so much better, knowing that this wasn't something she had to bear on her own.
"How can fireflies be firedemons? They give out one hundred percent light, and no heat. For a fire to be a fire, you'd have to have heat, right?" She simply shook her head, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear from force of habit.
"At anyrate.. It sounds like a fun idea~ When we're done eating, let's give it a go!"

Howl was silent, and merely nodded. He knew little about the issues Gaia was having after Gambino's death--he had heard of him, certainly. He had even heard that Gaia was on the brink of destruction itself; Gambino was Gaia. He even approved of Gino Gambino's clothing choices.
He sighed. "I meant they look like tiny firedemons," he explained. Where had Alome's sense of humor gone? Where was the fun person he had played with when he was younger? "Look at them," he gestured to a group of fireflies. "You see? They look like tiny firedemons, floating around."

"I suppose you're right." Holding out her hand, Alome let one land in her palm, smiling at it as it crawled around. "I think.. Fireflies are the only bugs I like, besides butterflies and bees. They are so beautiful..."
Standing up, she dusted any imaginary dust that was on her shorts with one hand, letting the little critter go free with her other. Right after, she offered her hand to Howl, smiling. "Shall we get started then?"
