Kirara knew she didn't want to look to pretty, so she decided to make her look one step less pretty than she wanted. She brushed her hair, and put on just a small little bit of eyeliner. Kirara thought her hair needed something... She knew what it was. " Hold on . I'll be right back." She went into her closet and got a small gold head band, and a pretty floor length dress. " I will force you into theses if I have to so don't resist." After everything was done, they headed back to the throne room. " We had better get there before mom marries me to a tree stump."

That's funny. As they finally wrapped up and headed for the throne room, Nina could feel the massive push of air that meant lots of other people were heading there too. Tria... Ria... the entire foreign delegation...
"Um, your Highness?"she said carefully, not wanting to attract the attention of other people in the hall,"the entire palace seems to be headed for the throne room. Just, get ready to bolt on my signal. I'll take off this ridiculous headband thing if you need to run okay?"
Large crowds mean announcements- and announcements rarely mean anything good.

Kirara & Nina were on their way down to the throne room when they ran into Tria, and Ria. "Good Night princess." Tria and Ria said together. They lunged themselves at the two girls pinning them both down tot he ground. Kirara was trying to fight off Tria, and Ria was on top of Nina.

Irritated by the delay and the strange noises coming from the great hall, Queen Anora excused herself from the ambassador and half-ran down the long hall, heels clacking on the marble.
"Girls!" she said sharply to the torn and bleeding scuffle, as if breaking up a petty scuffle rather than an assassination attempt. She beckoned Tria and Ria to the side, carefully ignoring the wheezing, scratched remains of her daughter and her nosy little servant.
If the foreigners can't get at that shrew, she thought, almost frightened, they might try to knock me off instead!

Anora was startled, but not surprised by her daughter's hatred. She just barely kept herself from jumping at Kiara's loud exclamation, but took a deep breath and waited till she was out of earshot to speak to the girls. She didn't take the little servant seriously, for why would a wind spirit want to slave away in a place like this?
"We have an entire foreign delegation in the throne room," she told her little minions with gritted teeth, "just waiting to get their hands on that- that thing over there. If you want to spoil our chances of ever having a peaceful alliance with them, wait until after they've finished with the girl to kill them in their beds! Do. You. Understand. Me."
The Queen allowed them to see how important it was to keep the Princess alive for now, and looked fiercely at them waiting to snap at any argument.

Nina gasped for breath as, at the queen's word, Ria suddenly released her with a glare of hatred. She wasn't sure whether to be grateful or apprehensive, but had little time to consider the choice before scrambling to her feet and half-running after a frightened and disheveled Kiara.
There goes another two hours of my time, she thought dejectedly- but then she noticed that the Princess was running in the opposite direction from her safe, secure room. She redoubled her pace to catch up to Kiara before she reached the throne room."Princess, you're heading the wrong way. If you think those guys were bad just wait till you meet the foreign ambassadors! Plus you look even worse than you did before."
Speaking softly but urgently, she grabbed the Princess' elbow to steer her throught the secret passages to her room.

Kiara's assumption that Nina couldn't defend herself offended her.
"Look, Kiara, I've never been choked before and I don't intend for it to ever happen again. How was I supposed to know that cutting off air affects my powers?" She released the Princess' arm reluctantly, on high alert for any threat to her safety.
That's when the whispers reached her- the Queen, saying after they've finished with the girl. From the throne room she could hear an accented whisper, tonight. She tensed. Nothing can hold Kiara back when she's like this... but we're being threatened on two fronts now. They were already too close to the throne room anyway- so she whispered to the princess sharply,"Watch your back in there, and I will too."
After that, she added to herself, we're getting the hell out of here.

The twin's silence- were they scared?- pleased Anora, and she swept aside a hanging to reveal a set of stairs leading up.
"It comes out behind the throne,"she told them. Normally she wouldn't have revealed her bolthole, but she just had to reach her throne before that minx did! "I expect you to behave yourselves better than my daughter."
