Acropilis Too bad the complete energy transfer would take mere seconds since electricity moved rather quick as said by physics and science in general.
Seconds?
You know how many punches can be thrown in a single second? The record is nine. Do you know how much distance a man can cover in a single second? And it wasn't really the leg James was moving. It's attached to the rest of his body too, something Cyrus probably failed to realise and account for.
Regardless of how Cyrus managed to stop his super-fast forward momentum on a dime and suddenly jumped back, forward momentum was always faster.
That is to say, James's forward mometum.
"Crank it" he said simply and shot forward like a rocket to grab Cyrus by the throat. This, is what he meant by that he lived off pain. What happened?
In so many words, the brief moment of shocking, although it caused temporarily paralysis, numbing, and a shitload of pain, it was not enough to halt a man who was already angry, it was like shooting a grizzly bear with a .22. One arm's worth of electricity was simply not enough to stop James for long as the daemonslayer forced his body to respond with his iron will. Rage was a hell of an anesthetic, and the mentality of Dou took it a step further for James, allowing him to fight through the pain.

The moment he'd reach to grab Cyrus by the throat, however the f*cking hell he did so with no legs, Cyrus knew had the f*ck right where he wanted him. He would focus all his energy immediately his right hand, making a ball of non-visible energy that would be enough to cripple him permanently if used properly. And the moment his hand touched his neck, Cyrus used that split single second, like the one second that 9 punches could be thrown, to smash his right hand towards James's throat at the collar bone where the massive amount of electricity, worth 2 legs and 2 arms worth, would explode into James's neck, collarbone, and spine.
The second arms worth of energy would be from what energy didn't manage to transfer from the two arm exchange and Cyrus's own life force. That would result in him having the equivalent of the air knocked out of him for a moment, though it wouldn't matter since the it would be later this evening by the time he noticed it fully.
The great thing was about his was that he could do nothing about this attack. He couldn't dodge due to the fact he was holding Cyrus by the throat himself. He couldn't move his collar bone without stepping backwards which would involve pivoting on or with his near destroyed foot. And this attack would no only inhibit breathing but would reach the spine with ease where the blast of raw electrical energy would nail the spine and paralyze James with enough energy to kill someone if the flow wasn't stopped. And since the energy was so concentrated and gathered, one it made contact it was game over.
Unless his will somehow allowed him to puppet a dead body that is, and in that case Cyrus was royally f*cked since he was out of energy all together.

But the martial artist could, infact, block it. Hell, he avoided it. All of Cyrus's electricity flew past James's head harmlessly as his other arm shot up, and merely smacked the offending limb away to the side with using his own technique, the Hellish Shock Fist. The blast of fire that James emitted from his fist gave additional power to what was already a sharp punch, and knocked Cyrus's piss poor attempt at a counter away.
In the second that followed, another blast of crimson flame from the slayer's right hand punched Cyrus's throat in the metaphorical d**k point-blank. It would rob the man of the ability to breathe, a simultaneous crushing of the windpipe by fist and flame and of course, Cyrus would suffer horrific burns ontop of that.

Quote: But the martial artist could, infact, block it. Hell, he avoided it. All of Cyrus's electricity flew past James's head harmlessly as his other arm shot up, and merely smacked the offending limb away to the side with using his own technique, the Hellish Shock Fist. Cyrus laughed as the energy didn’t fly forward, it was a compilation of 4 limbs worth of energy focused into his right hand and followed the same law where it wouldn’t be released unless it made physical contact.
Cyrus would watch as the fist would knock his own arm out of the way and an idea came to him. He would use James’s own grip against him and he would split the energy in his right arm by redirecting one limbs’ worth of power into each one of the soles of his feet. He would then retract his ‘offending limb’ to clutch James’s choking arm at the pressure point under the elbow and within less than second release the two arms worth of remaining energy left in his right arm into James’s chokehold arm. As he did that, he would shift his weight up using James’s arm as a balance and his own feet to shift weight, and would smash his feet into James’s chest to bar his feet between the two combatants. This allowed him to double kick James in the chest with his own choke and release two more pints of energy smashing into his chest from his feet.
This would force Cyrus out of the grip no matter what James did, but he took burns from James’s fire attack he used to block his original all out strike. He should be able to get out before the throat burns came. If this didn’t work, Cyrus was f*cked royally, but at least he had a chance looking at the fact that if this landed or not, he would either deal significant damage or would still have plenty of malleable energy.

Sure! If by laughing you mean choking, because James's hand was already at his neck and was squeezing it at this point.Acropilis Cyrus would watch as the fist would knock his own arm out of the way and an idea came to him. A brain that was being starved of oxygen generally came up with bad ideas. Cyrus already came up with enough bad ideas normally, so this, was possibly the worst thing he could've done in his deluded state of mind. The man just wasn't equipped to handle thinking.
Not to mention, James unleashed his God's Dust technique from his hand right after he knocked his victim's punch away, so the man indeed, did not manage to do anything before the explosion of flames, for the lack of a better word, blasted Cyrus away, to leave him a few feet away as a crumpled heap. The slayer would take one halting step after the man, the damage from the electric shock only evident in his stride and in the gritting of teeth. There were no visual marks of burning, it was very hard to cause damage to a being like James the heat aspect of that matter.
Aside from the two medium-level techniques James just used, he had hardly used his fire at all, limiting the amount of pain and aches that he was forced to endure in his body. Now, it was time to hold nothing back.
James lifted his right arm up, and a brillant flame ignited in his hand. His fans in the stadium went wild as they thought they knew what was coming, the slayer's signature pure-flame technique.

Cyrus let out a muffled cry as he was sent flying a good few feet from the blast itself. He felt a rampant onrush of burns and aches as he later found himself on the ground about ten feet away from his opponent. He flew a good distance and he knew that the distance wasn't going to last long unless he did something. Blood soaked his neck and collar bone as the skin was charred as well. The burns all around his neck were overall pretty bad but the fact he was blown away in the process sparred him from death.
He could breathe and he could move, and that meant he could fight. He got up and took a few deep breathes as he began to pump his legs up and down a tad and move to the other side of the stadium. As he did so he would begin to focus all his energy into the ultimate attack he had, the Zeus Bolt, and in doing so he'd have to tap into his life force once more to squeeze more energy out. He was gasping for breath even harder as a solid bar of electricity, about 4 feet long and about inch thick, formed. It was pure lightning, and like it’s natural predecessor was 13 million joules and 30,000 degrees Celsius. It was held in a concentrated, straight, and almost javelin-like form. He held the pure bar of energy as he stared at Eredas with a death like grin.
The reason Cyrus didn't burn or electrocute himself was obvious since this incarnation of pure energy was partly his life force, meaning he wouldn't get hurt nor feel it's heat/energy in a harmful manner. But if this bad of energy even touched Eredas, the fight was done. If Eredas got hit in the heart, James was dead. But unfortunately this 'javelin', unlike its lightning counter part, would only fly, if thrown, at visible speeds. But it would be an azure blur just like lightning raging out of the sky. And it would still pierce and burn clean through Eredas's skin regardless of his heat resistance.
He wanted the demon hunter to finally get the clue that this was the end.
"This is it...."
He said as he held the bar of lightning parallel to the ground with the end facing James. The two combatants would still have a fair amount of distance between them at that time and if James approached Cyrus would obviously move away while keeping within the arenas boundaries. This was the last move, and he waited for James to approach...

Of course he was still alive. James didn't want to kill him.
Death only came to those deserving of it, and Cyrus didn't deserve the true peace of the afterlife. No... James wanted Cyrus to live. He wanted him to suffer.
"Go on, run away". The slayer followed. It seemed to be a recurring theme this fight, a rabbit trying to run away from a hungry wolf, Cyrus running away from the daemon-slayer to charge up some nonsense that would inevitably fail. The slayer's own rage and power was mounting, becoming visible as crimson fire emanated from his body in a barely controlled state. He wasn't casting the Serpent Wave, he decided to use something else since his opponent kept running from him.
"This is it...."
James snorted at Cyrus's words. Ever naive and foolish to the last. He reached inside his jacket and drew his combat knife, his flames spreading to it, looking as if he had the intention of shanking the ******** out of his opponent. As James infused his ki inward, greatly empowering himself, his body began to really strain for the first time since he entered Dou form, the only tell-tale sign Cyrus got that something was up was the droplets of blood leaking from the corner of James's mouth. Under his clothes, his muscles bulged, his veins stood out against his skin,
"Throw it you big ******** p***y" the daemon-slayer dared him. The cameramen zoomed in on James for that line, and the slayer's face was just superimposed on the big screen, lit up by hatred, disdain, and flame.

Cyrus sighed as he would clutch the bar of energy and hold it like a lance, as if it were a solitary weapon. He thinned out the energy more so that the bar of energy was now seven feet versus four, but the amount of sheer power and heat still remained the same. He assumed a stance which resembled that of a Bo wielder. His right foot led with the longer portion of the ‘lance’s’ hold in his right hand leading forward. His left hand held the lower base of the ‘lance’ as his hand (not lance) was pressed against his side. His lead right foot and back left foot were both bent slightly with the feet spread slightly farther than shoulder width.
Cyrus finished the stance and had a completely calm disposition, even while looking at the animosity James bore towards him. His cobalt eye would stare into James’s own as his expression was quiet and adamant. His body didn’t move as he awaited James to show just how much hate he had for him. And all the while, Cyrus would be able to recover some of the effect of infusing his life force into this spear since he wasn’t moving around as much.
He would only say this though and with a voice that rang with disappointment if anything..
”Whose the coward now? Are you so desperate that you have to use a knife when you have that innate flame of yours? Pathetic....”

Out in the stands Benjamin Nicolai, the blond beaut, watched the fight below with rapt attention. With a big tub of popcorn in his lap, some fightan music pumping through his ears, and some new shades to fight off the suns glare as he kept his well protected eyes glued on the bout below.
It wasn't that the fight was incredibly epic, but rather it was just hilarious to watch the fighters antics. Not their words, because everyone knew talk was cheap, but just what they did. And he to admit half the s**t that was going on in hear had him rolling left to right in his seat, laughing so hard that tears welled up in his eyes.
I mean there was just so much golden material here, like for instance what this "Acropolis" fellow was doing now. I man already had some serious firepower in that bolt of his, Benjamin being a electric user himself could judge such things (although he could not judge where all the power came from), but seeing James pull out one itsy bitsy knife had caused him to practically double its length.
Either this man was scared shitless or....

Somewhere from the stands, a bellow rose over the mindless cheering and screaming of various other fans.
"Throw it already, you girly man!"
Nearby spectators had to clap their hands over their ears at the ogre's shout. What did they do to earn the misfortune of having to sit next to such a brute? He smelled, his manners were terrible, and he was constantly chewing on what could only be described as the cooked leg of a tyrannosaurus rex.
The ogre had purchased a ticket using the treasure he'd been hoarding as a means to pay and this was all he got? BAH!

Because "thinning" was somehow the equivalent of "staying the same". It was a wonder how his hands didn't just melt. Incarnation of his life energy it was, the heat would set other things on fire, and then those things would set Cyrus on fire because the man had no heat resistance. In fact, the man should be started to suffer from intense burns from the scalding air around his literal lightning rod.
Not that it mattered much to James who closed in steadily on Cyrus, hands at his sides. He'd walk right up to him and stab him on the face if he didn't do anything. Anything Cyrus attempted to say, James didn't even hear it, because it was hard to talk s**t (or talk, period), when one's throat was marred by bruises and severe burns, and because the jeering for Cyrus's loser antics were reaching a cresendo with the crowd. It was only through the efforts of a gifted lip-reader that they could translate and project Cyrus's garbled speech onto the stadium's speakers.
James's opponent could try to stare into his eyes, but he'd see nothing but inky black. The martial artist was still wearing his sunglasses after all.
So ********' cool.

And within moment, Cyrus would suddenly burst into a controlled but high speed dash as he released his stance and broke all meta-physical barriers that bore doubt in his mind. He ran near full speed towards James till he closed the gap at 9 feet. He ran at a controlled pace so he could dodge or react should something happen. He then shoved his left foot forward to transfer momentum and pivoted on it on toe as he held the spear with his right hand back. During the process of the movement, he'd skid approximately a foot inward to close the gap to 8 feet. As he pivoted on toe while moving forward, his entire body would twist as his right foot would move forward to plant and make him face the right.
But during that movement at mid-motion, he would reach a point where his body would be twisting and all momentum and body motion would be at it's prime. That moment he'd also have his body be facing James's body parallel at exactly 8 feet distance. He'd be holding the spear in his right hand at the approximate center, meaning 4 inches on the front and 3 inches behind Cyrus, of the bar of energy held near the front of his face at that moment as well. And it would be during that moment he would throw the bar of pure energy with intense furiosity. The thing would fly like a blur at a speed that a person would need frame by frame to see it clearly
It was aimed in a diagonal 45-50 degree arc meant to hit the heart, or if he moved to the left, his side. It would arc out slightly as well in the beginning meaning that it would also nail him if he moved right within the moments notice. Ducking wouldn’t work either since the arc was downward from the fact it was diagonal and since the thing was moving forward, fading was not an option since he’d still get his in the inner leg. Blocking with flame or knife was pointless since the flame would phase through or feed the energy and the knife would be burnt through. Taking the hit would kill him or injure him badly since the thing was moving at high speeds and go all the way through him first off, second off the electrical energy was so intense that minor physical contact would paralyze him for awhile (imagine getting skimmed by lightning would be like), and it would burn all the way through his flesh regardless of his flame resistance because the fact the energy didn’t burn but near melted his skin off. No matter how his fire resistance was, 30,000 degrees Celsius was something that could kill any human.
The only reason Cyrus didn’t burn from the raw energy and heat entering the air was that the thing was so condensed till release or physical contact that the thing didn’t release as much heat or energy as to be harmful. It was designed to be harmful on release. That is why when released, the thing was as dangerous as f*ck since it near ignited the air around it and had millions of joules of energy dancing around it’s solid bar shape.
If the mental image of the release wasn't enough, imagine a motion like this except with the foot that is not on the ground moving forward to plant, the sword being a spear being released, and a more brutal and epic motion.

Lethargically waving a delicate hand side to side the chilling woman would swipe at the air in front of her face. Wanting the stench of burning skin to disappear, how vulgar to use such a crude element. The only downside to being a race that wasn't human, senses are extended to the surrounding areas. The crystalline eyes trailing down to view the warriors duke it ou--..no never mind it wasn't duking out at all, it was HURR HURR LIGHTNING ZEUS BOLT GOGOGO verses a fire manipulator who can't get this guy to shut the hell up.
With a heavy sigh and a sway from side to side of the spade ended tail, swatting at the ground below her, Daeva would let out a soft whispering tone that echoed into many voices. Each word forming one after another in mere milliseconds apart. An eerie sound to those who are used to normal speaking humans.
"The passion of creativity within warriors these days is losing its touch upon this vast world. Such a waste of space.." the near monotone voice said apathetically with a trail of hazed air seeping from between her deeply frozen colored lips.

Fast as Cyrus thought he was, James was arguably faster. Especially so when he tapped into the full power of the mentality of violence. The moment the spear was released, the slayer appeared to just, blur, a crimson blur, leaving behind afterimages.
Then he was gone. Unless Cyrus looked down, and then it was just too late. Whereas the dumbass spent a shitload of time and energy to make a superweapon that he couldn't even wield properly, James spent time and energy to hone himself, the martial artist, in his entirety was a weapon.
Flame coursing through his veins, exuding from his pores, muscles screamed in protest as every ounce of juice was wringed from them. James had applied the principle of his Dou state in its entirety, letting the ki he had gathered within him to pulse and go off within him, like a firecracker in a jar. The sacrifice of his personal health was a small price to pay for the temporary power his technique granted him. Overwhelming speed, strength, and power were put to use for a few seconds as James merely twisted his body and sidestepped and went under the useless bolt of lightning completely and countered with a single, brutal conccusive flame uppercut to Cyrus's body.
Of course, the uppercutting hand was his right, and the slayer was also holding his knife in that same hand. The blade would carve a deep and bloody gouge up the front, tracing the path of his strike.
A giant line on the floor was cracked and blackened, the ground an immolated and furious James covered while executing one of his most powerful techniques.
