Violet nodded; she was glad she'd come with him and not alone. She would never have thought about having a plan in case something went wrong, she just never thought for enough ahead. Taking a deep breath, she followed him below the surface, kicking her legs hard to keep up. She nodded again as he looked back. He was checking on her. She'd never had someone do that before. That was the extent of her thoughts on that subject as she started to look around her a little bit the farther they went.

He nodded as he got the ok and continued forward, managing to grab a hold of the entrance of the tunnel and peer in. The was an unnatural source of light coming from inside, illuminating it. He could see that the tunnel went down for a bit, leveled out, and to his surprised, actually went back up to the break the water and create a secret cave inside of the cliff that was nearby.
Now more captivated, he swam as hard as he could for the few feet that went down and then leveled out, following the tunnel, soon finding the air pocket was close by, and just in time. He breached the surface to the strangely lite cave and gasped for air while he waited for his companion to surface

From her position behind Lavitz, Violet couldn't see what made him begin to swim harder. She followed, feeling her lungs begin to burn the harder she swam to keep up with him. The farther she went, she began to see the light that he did. A few moments later, she saw him pop above the water. Lungs on fire, Violet surfaced near him taking a long, deep breath. When her lungs no longer burned, she turned to Lavitz with a grin. "This is fun! Where do we go from here?" she asked, giggling as her voice echoed in the small cavern.

He grinned as she appeared, obviously feeling the strain of being underwater. While she caught her breath, he looked around the cave, completely surprised that the walls and ceiling of the small dwelling were covered in a strange blue substance that seemingly cackled with intensity at their presence. "Whoa..." he couldn't help but say as he swam to the edge, surprised to see the floor wasn't covered in the strange stuff as well. "What is all this?" he questioned, momentarily forgetting he was with someone.
He looked around a bit more, and a huge crystal like blob took up a corner of the room. The color match the rest of the walls and their blue energy swirling colors and all he could wonder was what was this stuff

"Oooh..." Violet's gaze was caught immediately by the big blob in the corner. The swirling colors attracted her usually short attention span, and the closer she came to it the wider her eyes became. Lifting a paw out of the water, Violet reached up to touch it without a thought to what it could be or do. "Pretty colors..." she murmured with a light laugh.

He reached out and snatched her paw away before she could touch it. "I have a bad feeling about this place" he said as he looked at where she was about to touch. There was a bit of electricity retracting as her paw moved away. It gave him a bit of a tingling feeling of nervousness. What would have happened were she to actually touch it? He almost didn;t want to know

She squeaked in surprise when he jerked her paw away. "But it's pretty! And I wanted to see if it was as squishy as it looked..." she whined lightly, looking over at Lavitz with a slight pout until he said he has a bad feeling. She felt the zing of electricity pass through her and she giggled. "That felt weird!" Looking from her friend to the blob and back again, she asked, "What kinda bad feeling? Like maybe we should leave?" Violet was a little saddened by that prospect; she wanted to know what this stuff was or at least how it came to be here.

He looked around and swore he heard something growling softly. "Do you hear that?" he asked just as she had finished her statements. He looked around the room and back to the crystal. It had changed somehow. Becoming slightly transparent he could see a very large something inside of it. Was it causing the growling. "Don't call me a coward, but...something just doesn't feel right..Don;t you feel it?" he asked looking her way

For once, Violet closed her mouth and listened. There it was! She heard it, a strange growling noise. She hadn't been paying attention before but now, now that she was and she heard what he had she was getting scared. Suddenly it didn't seem like such a good idea to touch the glowing blob. Quickly, she paddled closer to Lavitz, feeling safer the closer she got. "N-no," she stammered. "N-not a coward. That's scary! I w-wanna get out of h-here!"

He was about to tuck tail and dive back into the water, when a loud eardrum breaking screech filled the air and the crystal grew the upper half of a bright blue growing dragon like skeleton, obviously the source of the sound
"TIME TO GO!! " He shouted as he pushed her under water and swam as fast as he possibly could hanging on to her paw, and occasionally looking back to see if the thing was following.
Only minutes later, he breached the surface of the brook and wasted no time in getting out of the water, making sure that his traveler was close behind

Violet screamed as the crystal shifted. Before she realized what was happening, she was shoved underwater and was being tugged along. It took her a second to get her bearings but once she had, she followed as fast as she could, wanting to get away from whatever that was. She was just seconds behind him in jumping onto the banks, gasping for breath. "What...w-what was that?" she panted.

Also trying to catch his breath and soon plopping on the ground he tried to think. "I..have..no idea." he gasped. He couldn't help but keep both eyes trained at the waters surface as it settled from them both jumping out. "Whatever it was...it didn't seem to happy." he added after he stood and tried to calm his nerves. He looked over to her, seeing her trying to catch her breath. "Are you okay?" he asked with concern

She shook her head in agreement; no, it definitely hadn't seemed very happy. "I'm f-fine, j-just a l-little s-scared," she murmured as she drug herself to her feet and shook some of the water off. She didn't get much off before she collapsed back to the earth. "W-what about you? Are y-you okay?"

He nodded a little bite. "scared as well." he shook the water out of his fur and scooted towards her. He plopped on the earth next to her and watched. "are you sure your ok?"

Rolling onto her side, she looked at him and smiled. "I'm okay," she said. She wasn't used to people asking after her welfare. It was...a nice feeling. "Promise," she giggled. "What was that, do you think?"
