He looked down a moment, before looking up. "I have some friends who will let me stay with them, but I hate to impose. They have their own lives, their own families, and there really is no place for me in it." Rokopelli had offered him to stay with her once in a while, but he always just spent the night before going. She had her own mate and was now expecting. Having him linger around would make things awkward for both of them. There was also the Goddess of Festivals, but she too had a mate and he hadn't seen her in a while. After that, well, he really didn't have anyone else. He knew plenty of Gods and Goddesses, but none close enough where he could stay with them.
"I like the freedom to travel whenever I want, but sometimes I'd think it would be nice to stay in one place for once." He had that...once. "Don't you get lonely without a mate? Without company?" He didn't have anyone with him, and he knew that it made traveling alone very hard. If Talayeh could be happy by herself, there could be hope that living a life as a bachelor could be done. He still wanted a family, but maybe he wouldn't be doomed if he didn't find one.

Talayeh listened with a little interest. So, he had a torn heart. He liked one style of life, but seemed that he was interested in another. Well, that was just part of growing up, wasn't it? At least, she thought so. It had been quite a while since Talayeh had been that young. She didn't remember much of it, to be honest with herself.
"I don't feel lonely like you must do," she answered with all seriousness. "I find the company I want, and it isn't too difficult if one puts forth a little effort. I am not one for commitments. I like to move on when I'm bored without having strings following me around." And frankly, it was almost too easy to get rid of the ones that did try to stay attached to her. Sometimes she felt a twinge of guilt, but it never lasted long, and would never nag her later on. Even with dumping what cubs came out of her 'commitments', she just made sure they found a home where someone would care for them. She wasn't heartless, just cold.
"I'm sure you'll find your place, you just haven't quite found it yet. At least it sounds like you know what you might be looking for."
She nodded, knowing that their conversation must be coming to a close. She smiled at him. "I hope to see you again soon, when you do have your place you want." She purred slightly, and then left.
