If there had been color in Kizuka's face in the first place it would have surely been gone now. He knew this story? He knew Spenta? He knew of her... Kizuka was shakey in her daze. She hadn't minded telling Mwovu the story of her and Spenta, so long as she never mentioned any names it could have been a story of anyone, but Mwovu knew who it was about and had met Spenta. She couldn't help but feel as if her heart was drowning, because now even strangers knew of her sadness, and she wasn't even the one to speak of it.
She held back forming tears and looked at the ground as she responded to him quietly, "I am her... What exactly had Spenta said?"

Mwovu was a little surprised at her shock. Was it really such a bad thing? He was a sotry collector, after all, even if he didn't do it as a full-time task. He let her gather her thoughts, as the look on her face almost screamed panic. The tension that seemed to lay between them only humored the lion even more. Mwovu was not kind, but he was not one to act cruel. It was all a game to him, and he liked to win.
Though he had to admit, did he 'win' this one?
"He started out with a marvelous tale," Mwovu explained. "Talking about his emotions, what I assume he took as yours. Once his brother came into the story," and what Mwovu was expecting to be a great conflict, "he seemed almost unsure of himself. The details were faint, and in the end he only showed his sadness." Which Mwovu didn't like, but that was ok. He could always rewrite the end if he ever told the story to anyone else. After changing some names around.

"My poor Spenta..." She whispered to herself, almost forgetting Mwovu was sitting right there. Quickly she became aware of herself and her white nose grew a little pink in embarrassment. She shook her head quickly as if to shake off the moment of vulnerability.
"I can see why he would want to block it out. Both situations are less than pleasing. I remember it very clearly though. Too clearly for my own good sometimes," Kizuka said, with a heavy sigh, "At least some good came out of that story. I had met that lioness one day, her name is Oki, and had met some of the cubs in which that horrid beast, Angra, had sired. I met one of her sons, Bagrat, and ended up persuading Oki to allow me to adopt him. He was too much like Angra for her to ever give him any affection or care, and if he had stayed with her he would have surely turned out like his father. He is my son now...And he is very happy."
Kizuka could not hold back her tears for so long and eventually let them come to her. She did not sob or even really cry. She just let them roll down her cheeks and put up a smile. It was a sad smile, of longing and pain mixed in with a little joy, "Spenta gave me very beautiful children."

The crying was a little awkward for Mwovu. He gave her a bit of a sideways glance, but perhaps she was so wrapped up in her emotions she wouldn't notice. It obviously was something that pained her much, but he had to admit he was a little intiruged about her adopting a son from a male that she must harbor some ill intent towards. At least, he would assume so, since neither party wanted to go into detail about exactly what Angra had done. That was ok, he could fill it in with his own made-up juicy details.
"Perhaps these children are why you are so hungry?" he pondered out loud.

"No," Kizuka said, shaking her head abruptly, "It isn't my children's fault as to why I hunger so. It's my own...I wanted to go out and hunt. I'm afraid I'm sorely out of practice...as well as a bit stubborn."
Kizuka gave a half-smile at this. It was the truth and the she seemed more than humiliated for it. When you were the leader of your pride, you didn't have to hunt for yourself, but sometimes there were things you just wanted to do, and hunting was one of them. It was unfortunate her cushy position had waned her own abilities so much. She would have to build them back up, incase there was ever war.
"...Would you do me a favor? Incase you were to see Spenta again?"

Mwovu waved a paw. "Well, you might find more charity. Only until you warm up again. You'll pick it up again soon." It wasn't that hard, but if she was stubborn, she might be going after things that were a little difficult for one to do alone. He didn't know, and wouldn't ask. He did his good deed of the day, and didn't want to venture into getting too nice and caring.
"Sure," he agreed. "If I ran into him again, you want me to pass something along?" He chuckled. "Oh, I'm sure its something along the lines that you're sorry. Well, on the rare chance that I might actually see him again, I'll say something along those lines."
Really, he did what he needed to do, and he was ready to get home for some...somewhat deserved rest. "Have fun raising those cubs," he said with a more vicious chuckle this time, turning his back to the lioness with her free meal, and sauntering his way back home to the Mtango-Bui.
