(Caitlin would like seat #10.)

Caitlin gave the Colonel a small smile as he grinned at her. She glanced at the python once as he spoke, but continued to look at him. A blue-tongued python? That was pretty neat! And he had been to South Kavata? That was...well, it was amazing. She'd only ever left her home to come here; she had not been traveling very much at all. She nodded at his advice to wake her up, but then turned back at his asking of her name. "Caitlin O'Reily, sir," she replied with a small smile. Then was another noise--more of a group of them--and she turned to see Zarek enter the room. A small feeling of guilt ran through her; he was coming to the same class as she, and she hadn't stopped to help him. How selfish. But he showed no notice of her, really, so maybe it was all right. She took a few steps towards him and called out "Hey, Zarek!" in a friendly tone, then glanced over to see many, many others enter the room. Goodness, this class was popular.

Then she turned back to the snake. With a quiet word of encouragement from Cayne, she reached out a finger and rubbed under her jaw. The python gave a small twitch, then moved her head, looking at all of the people gathered around. Clearly many thought that she was a sight to behold. Caitlin glanced around at Zarek, seeing if he was coming over to them, or if he needed help. After all, they did know each other, being roommates.

Sagara looked once more at the signs outside the classroom before entering - by the sounds emanating from within it was definitely a classroom and she wasn't the first on here - but she wanted to make sure it was the right classroom before she went in "You spend entirely to much time dithering about" Kail told her told her before zipping into the room ahead of her, his current choice of Coyote form letting him slink about pretty well. "Kail" She hissed at her wayward daemon before sighing and following him inside, pausing inside the door to study those already gathered for a few moments while Kail circled excitedly about one of the seats. "here, lets sit here!" Kail impressed upon her with a few yaps before settling underneth it."Alright, Alright" She muttered as she made her way over to the second seat and set her things down.

((Catharine will take seat 7, Azure will take seat 13))

Desperately hoping she wasn't late, Kitty opened the door and waltzed inside, breath bated in anticipation. The scene before her did not disappoint. About a dozen students milled about the room, some with substantial daemons, others like her, unformed. A person she assumed to be the teacher was boisterously bragging about first his snake, then about the lion behind him. Judging from the expression on the feline's face, she was his daemon. A true form.

Blue eyes shining brighter than a lake that caught the water, she walked up to him, her stride confident, and held her hand out to shake. "Catharine Farrel-Porter, at your service! But please, call me Kitty. Everyone does." Her eyes flickered to the people around her. Only one really stood out, a boy with scars upon his face. He appeared to be blind. She made a mental note to go and talk to him later. Another friend couldn't hurt.

Then, with a casual flick of her lilac hair (not something one saw everyday), she turned her attention towards the snake at the back. Her breath froze. "She's beautiful!" Her hand stretched out to gently touch the top of the reptile's head, her face expressing the prominent curiosity she felt. She could feel the haze that was her daemling lean around her to take a better look, every bit as interested as herself. She caught a flash of brown fur as he changed shape again, never picking one form to stay in for any substantial amount of time.

~*~*~*~*~

One thing was clear: she did not want to be here. Not near this classroom, not in this school, not even in this city. Her whole body wanted to reject this situation, yet she couldn't. Why on earth had she let Nyto talk her into this? Smothering a groan, she placed a hand over her stomach to try and stop it from churning. Never ever in her life had she been this nauseous. Not when she watched her father burn alive, not when her mother lay dying in bed, not even when her sister had vanished. The feeling was not pleasant.

You never know, you might like it. Her daemling stated, his thoughts echoing both annoyance and understanding at her situation. At least give it a shot, for me? Or are you too scared?

The breath escaped from between her teeth in a hiss as her feral instincts took over. How dare he imply she was a coward? Swallowing the sick feeling, she took a moment to steady herself. Not even to her daemon could she admit she was weak, even if he did know what she was thinking. Reigning in the urge to run, she steadied herself before slipping open the door a notch and sliding in, closing it inaudibly behind her.

Atta girl. Knew you could do it.

She felt her face pale as she took in the scene. No. This was not good. Too many people, too loud, too rowdy. Her muscles tensed as she dropped into a crouch, her hands instinctively gripping the daggers that were concealed up her wrists. With a slight rush of panic, she realized she had left them in her dorm. It had been the one condition Nyto forced her to adhere to: weapons were not for use on humans. Her eyes darted from one person to another. She couldn't do it. She was weak. She had to leave.

You've already got his attention. Nyto's thought flickered to the man at the front, clearly the teacher. Relax a little. You're better and stronger than all of them, if it comes to a fight. And it won't. You're here to learn. He yearned for company. Although Azure was nothing of the sort, he actually happened to be very social. Now stopping acting like an animal, and act like what you are. A human.

He was right of course. He was always right. Her muscles clenching even more, her back unfurled till she was at her full height. Every sense was hyper-aware as she made her way towards the teacher. Her eyes narrowed as she faced him. "Sasaki." Her whole body language screamed defensive, her fingers still toying with the empty straps, wistfully wishing her daggers were with her.

Never turn your back on an enemy. Keeping all the pupils in her sight, she slipped towards a desk at the back, seating herself at the edge of the seat so she could run if the situation called for it.

They aren't your enemies. Nyto's voice warned her gently, though this was one thing that could not be cured instantly. Would her aversion for humans ever dissipate?

A wave of students entered the classroom all at once; the hour of instruction must be fast approaching! The colonel was aflurry, shaking hands and taking down names. "Right! Lockwood, Cobb, Sangreal, what's your name Miss?, O'Reily, Farrel-Porter, and Sasaki! So glad you could all make it! Welcome to Biology! Feel free to mill about the room; Elizabeth, the python in the back, is quite awake now, and seating is your choice!" As the students milled about the room in the early morning chaos, the colonel sat back and looked at the newcomers. What had Cobb said her first name was? Jack? No matter, he always called students by their last names. Years in the military had ensured his preference for that. However, while some of them would look right at home in a regiment, some of them seemed to have a flair for the individual. The first thing the colonel noticed about the two girls who walked in last was their hair. Both of them had rather interesting colors; one, a light purple and the other, grey. He wondered, briefly, if the girl with the purple hair used a murex dye- spiny murex, besides being beautiful snails, had that peculiar pigmentation to their shells. Would it be that bright on hair? But the one thing that seemed to reign supreme in this class was their curiosity about the room. This was good; they'd all excel in experiments if they kept this up! And he did love it when people got over that nasty prejudice society seemed to have about reptiles.

Elizabeth, to her credit, was moving her head and tongue, flicking the deep blue muscle at each student in turn, trying to catch and remember their scents.

But as he watched the students, a few seemed a little off. Warren seemed a bit unsure; of course, this probably stemmed from being blind. Still, he was sure the boy could overcome. Lockhart seemed far more timid than the other boys, but that was probably due to the newness of the situation. And Sasaki, that last girl who hadn't presented him with a first name. Something about her seemed frightened, scared, like a cornered animal. He glanced around the room, seeing if it was in reaction to a particular person.

Zarek felt very out of place, and as he was shown to his seat, took it immediately, so as to get out of the way. He hated this situation. So many voices crowding around him, and he could see none of them. He felt a small amount of panic rising in his throat, but Malhy, still in his tiger form, brushed his bared lower arm with a cold nose, and he calmed. Malhy was there. He wouldn't let anything happen to Zarek. Hooking the curved handle of his cane over the back of his chair, straightening out his badly healed broken leg, and leaning back in his chair, he allowed his hands to wonder the surface of the desk.

It was wooden, and had a hinged top, much like in his old school's back when he was young, and still had a family. It was spacious, and bar the plant on the far left corner, which he was careful not to touch too much, though he needed to have an idea of where it was and what its height was like, he realised his desk was devoid of much else. A few etching into the desk face caught his wandering finger's attention, and he let his dainty fingers trace them, before moving on, unable to identify what they were. He then worked his way into figuring out how to open the desk. He kept one hand where the plant's pot resided, and found the desk to open easily without interrupting it. Finding the peg that held it in place, he found the inside of the desk decked out with all he would need, were he able to see! A pencil, a pot of ink and a ink-dip pen, a notebook, a sketch book and a few other items that he found hard to identify; possibly a rule, a rubber and some form of cutting implement, scissors maybe? He couldn't figure it out.

Closing his desk once again, Malhy purred contentedly as Zarek relaxed. Zarek had always loved to learn. 'Doesn't seem so bad does it? Caitlin just called to you. Maybe you should wave back? She looks a little worried - I don't think she knew you were coming!' Zarek hesitated, and raised his hand tentatively, not turning in his seat, as he was not yet used to its size in relation to his body, and he didn't want to knock anything over, especially the plant! He wondered where she was sitting. He didn't want to admit it, but he liked Cait. 'Oh, I see Alette too. Remember her? Zarek nodded, and let his mind be gently guided by Malhy's thoughts to look somewhere in the direction of the front of the class.

"What has you so intrigued?" He asked quietly. 'Laaarge Daemon there. Big lioness. Very powerful.' Zarek nodded, and settled himself, fiddling with the hem of his black and white scarf.

Cilla had stopped writing and was staring at the wolf as it turned to stare behind her. The noise of a desk squeaking behind her cause her to turn around in her seat. She tried to appear as if she was just looking around but it was obvious that the noise behind her had startled her. A blush rose on her face and she was about to speak but a girl came and sat next to her. Trying to see both at the same time she smiled warmly and nodded in greeting before turning around in her seat.

The almost wisp wolf smiled sheepishly with his tongue hanging to the side with a grin spread across his maw. Almost like he was enjoying all this too much.

Caitlin smiled as the snake investigated her and the others, her strangely blue tongue flicking in and out rapidly. It was very cool, actually; the only snakes she had seen before now were small garden-dwellers, nowhere near Elizabeth's size. But she was sweet for a snake. She couldn't imagine how others were afraid of snakes; they weren't as bad as, say, spiders. Personally, she was glad it was a snake that was out, and not a spider or other similar creature. No matter how much she could enjoy working outside with horses and livestock, she detested the eight-legged buggers. Again, you're not afraid of a creature four times as large as you are, yet you are scared of one a thousand times smaller, Cayne chuckled, and she mentally chastised him. Silly daemon.

Glancing back at Zarek again, she caught his small wave back at her. So he had heard! He was being friendly, at least; after all, she had left him, no matter how accidental it had been. Giving the python one last scritch on the head, she went over to the desks, deciding on the one right behind Zarek. Maybe she'd be able to help him? Besides, she wasn't too keen on being in the very front row and at the mercy of the teacher, no matter how kind he seemed. Hey, it could be a good experience for you, said Cayne. She shrugged mentally. Well, at least help out Zarek. Make up for somewhat abandoning him, you know? She leaned forward a little. "Hey, Zarek. I'm right behind you. I mean, if you need any help..." she said, finishing somewhat lamely. Then she leaned back again, back against the chair, and looked at the plant. What would they be doing with them? Cayne, meanwhile, had laid himself down beside her, curled up somewhat, and with his head facing forward, pure amber eyes studying the room.

[[ Ben will take seat eight, and Sam would like eleven, please! ]]

Samantha Carmine trotted down the corridor, glancing at each classroom she went by. She was quite certain of where her classroom was; this wasn't a problem in the least. However, she was lost in her own little world, not even minding that she was running far later than she usually would. It wasn't until that voice in the back of her head spoke up that she broke from her daydreams.

"Maybe we should hurry, Sammie... We are cutting it a little close, don't you think?"

The tall, red-haired girl merely nodded as she picked up her pace. Quite true, she had taken her time finishing up a short story over breakfast this morning. And being late wasn't exactly a great first impression! Samantha squeaked nervously, but at last she made it to the door. Luckily, the bell hadn't sounded off yet, but that didn't stop her from grabbing at her old green scarf and cutting her eyes to the clock right before she entered. The tiny, blurry mouse-like shape on her shoulder actually quite matched the way she scurried into the classroom, head down in an attempt to avoid eye contact. Coming into a room always felt so strange; like she was being stared at. After setting her supplies down upon a desk at the back of the classroom, she took a deep breath and approached the teacher. She had to at least check in before she could claim that nice seat in the corner.

"Um, hello, sir. I'm Samantha Carmine... I'm here for the biology class." With an almost awkward smile, she mustered up the courage to look the Professor Callahan in the face. It wasn't quite eye contact, though, as she was looking more at his eyebrows than anything else.

-------

Around the same time, another pair was strolling slowly down the hallway toward the biology room. A young man, sporting a somewhat raggedy outfit of tattered slacks and a white dress shirt that had seen better days, seemed to be taking his time getting to wherever he was going. The daemon alongside him, shifting between a goat, an otter, and some kind of wolf in some indistinct mist, wasn't exactly hurrying him along. She was, however, not entirely convinced that he had bothered to check that they were going the right way.

"So, you sure you know where you're goin'?" the daemon asked, a rather indelicate and gruff female voice echoing throughout Benjamin's mind.

"Nah. Think it's on this 'all, though... Yeah. That one over there." Not at all deterred by his uncertainty, Ben sauntered into the room and looked about. A skeleton with a snake on it? Plants? Cages? He was pretty sure it was the right place. "Told ya we'd find it eventually. We ain't even late!"

"Yeah, yeah." She sounded unimpressed, but it was more out of curiosity than anything else. "Check out the snake, Ben!" The daemon, by this time focusing on the form of an otter, led her human over to look at Elizabeth, without any thought to checking in with the professor.

As the colonel checked his pocket watch, two more students entered the room. He shook their hands, greeting them. "Miss Carmine, welcome! And young sah, I didn't catch your name..." But the boy had gone to look at the snake. Ah well. There were only two students on the list who weren't in the classroom, and there were still a few minutes to go. He had all their names but one or two, so it would all work out in the end. He peeked out into the hallway to see if any of the others were coming. So far, he was missing two students and one assistant. It wasn't like Timothy to be this late. Clearing his throat, he stood at the front and center of the room and made an announcement. "Ahem! If you'd all like to start heading towards your seats, class will begin shortly. Take any seat you like, but please do not disturb the plants on your desk. Thank you!"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 08, 2010 10:17 am

A tall, thin, serious young man strode into the room, followed by a small owl daemon, who hooted worriedly. The colonel turned around to see Timothy Whitehall, his wayward assistant, carrying a stack of books. Timothy himself was in training to one day be a biologist; were it not for his delicate constitution, he probably would have already joined the Army Exploration Corps from hearing how much the colonel talked about it. Timothy was here today to observe and help facilitate demonstrations, but the colonel would be doing all the actual teaching.

"Ahh, Timothy! Welcome! Don't quite shut that door; there are a few stragglers, I think. Probably first-years who got lost." Although the room wasn't hard to find, the building it was in could be if you weren't sure which direction you were going. Timothy left the door open a crack and took his seat in the corner of the classroom, Bunty nestled against his shoulder.

"Attention, students! Please take your seats; it is time for class to begin!" He smiled widely at them as they took their seats. There were three empty desks, and two more names on the list. He hoped the other two students would come! But for now, he had to start the class. Standing in front of his desk, he cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Welcome, once again, to this year's Introduction to Biological Sciences! My name is Colonel James Callahan, former Army Exploration Corps. You can call me Colonel Jim- old Army habits, I'm afraid, have made me quite attached to my rank. I joined the army at age eighteen and was stationed in northern Afrikaanis, where I was injured in combat a year later. That is when Ambalapad, my daemon, manifested. She is a Barbary lioness, and while she's a bit grumpy, she's the best friend you could ever have in the heat of battle. I put in a transfer for the Exploration Corps upon my recovery, and served in the Corps until five years ago, when I was bitten by a poisonous serpent in South Kavata. I was a recruiter and lecturer for about a year and a half, and then I found employment here. I have a passion for the world around us and all its creatures, great and small. It is my life's work to make people understand why we should have a great sense of awe and wonder for the natural world; Woman and Man attained not dominion, but stewardship over the earth by our biological advancement, and it is my duty as a biologist and explorer to share with civilization just how wonderful life really is. In this class, you will see and interact with many forms of life unknown to Eurlakian science before the Corps brought it back. You will experience the wonder of experimentation and the the thrill of discovery. And, perhaps most importantly, you will learn what it truly means to be an organism that fits into the ecosystem. Our world is a vast, complex machine, and each creature, down to the smallest insect, is a part that ensures the balance and maintenance of daily operations. But first, some housekeeping to get out of the way.". Taking a sheaf of paper from his desk, he began to hand out the syllabus. "I trust you to read this on your own time, but I would like to point out the safety instructions, specifically the first three. We will be working with animals today, and you will be handling your first dangerous creature when we go outside. You will all be perfectly safe if you listen to my instructions, but if you do something... unwise, you might end up with a nasty rash. Also, does anybody have any plant, animal, fungal, or mold allergies? Please inform me of them so that I make sure that you are never given an allergen as a subject!" He paused for a moment, thinking. "Really, that is all I have for housekeeping. This first meeting is an introduction to the course and to the mechanics of biological sciences, but I'd much rather show you than tell you. So now, I think we should get to know each other a bit, then we will talk about the scientific method and perform our first experiment! We'll go around the room, and you will introduce yourself with your name, first and last, your daemon's name, your age, your favorite animal, one thing you'd like to learn in this class, and anything you'd like to share. Who wants to go first?"

Alette's hand snapped into the air almost the moment the syllables "Who wants to go first?" left the instructor's mouth. Her eyes seemed to light up eagerly and she was eager to get going. The sooner they made it through introductions, the sooner she could experience the wonders of the class room. She wanted to learn all she could, not only because she now had an opportunity to do something she never dreamed would be possible, but because she wanted to be able to take on a career that could provide for her many, unfortunate siblings.

"My name 's Alette Townsend an' this featherbag 's Jukka." She motioned towards the sharp eyed osprey that settled next to her. As if her sudden volunteering prompted it, he began to shift, shrinking down slightly in size. His plumage changed as he opted the form of a fierce, speedy peregrine falcon.

"I ain't quite sure 'o m' age, but I think I'm seventeen. I ain't got a favorite animal, neither, but I really do like snakes an' I ain't ever seen anything near as big as 'Lizabeth. She is really pretty! Also, I really wanna learn as much as I can 'bout Afrikaanis 'n North 'n South Kavata, an' the plants an' animals there. I wanna travel one day, iffn' I can."

Awkwardly, a thin girl with shoulder-length dark hair stumbled into the classroom, her chest heaving in and out trying to catch some air. She grasped the door jam and her face turned a bright red as she scanned the classroom. She was one of the last students to arrive! She straightened up, holding her breath, and attempted to straighten out her hair and clothes.

"I-I'm sorry, sir. I got lost on the way to class," she mumbled as she quietly slipped into the fourteenth seat. She looked around and sighed, hoping no one would start staring as she continued to breathe heavily. She looked at the syllabus on her desk and sighed, hoping she hadn't missed too much.

She'd managed to catch the last of what the Colonel had said and looked awkwardly around the room. Speaking to the group. Wonderful. She shyly raised her hand after Alette had finished her turn. Might as well get this over with. "W-well, I'm Falen Wyndham, and I'm seventeen. I. . . My Daemon. . . his name is Barky. And well, my favorite animal is the polar bear, or maybe it's the okapi. I'm not really sure to be completely honest. I'd. . . Well, I'd really like to learn about animals mostly, I don't know a lot about them. And uhm, I'm going to stop now before I say something dumb." She lowered her hand and crossed her arms across her chest, lowering in her seat.

Zarek visibly jumped as Alette burst into speech next to him. He had not realised she had sat beside him, too lost in getting to know his desk, and though he had heard the teacher's invitation to start the lesson, he had not realised anyone would be so enthusiastic. Malhy chuckled beside him, and was hushed promptly.

'Go on, you next. Might as well do it now, or else you'll be last!' Zarek didn't like the idea of being last. He might not realise people were looking at him, and then he'd get anxious. After an out of breath voice he did not recognise from any of his prior meetings with people subsided, he daintily raised one scarred arm and coughed lightly.

"Um... my name is Zarek Warren, and my Daemon's name is Malhyanth. He likes to take the form of either the barbary lion or white tiger. I don't know what he is right now though. I am 15, last I knew, but it is hard to keep track of dates, and I lost a bit of time before I came here." Zarek gave a deep swallow and steeled himself for the last bit of his speech about himself. "I don't think I have a favourite animal. I like lots. Dogs especially, and song-birds, especially the robin. I like to sit in the park and listen to them, away from the sounds of the city. I'm not sure what I want to learn really. I... I just want to learn anything I can, in my current situation; whether I can still learn. Um... In case you aren't aware, I am blind. But that don't make me weak or nowt!" He added the last part hastily, and his pale cheeks flushed a light pink. All through his speech, he remained looking ahead, and hoped that everyone could hear him fine; he didn't want to have to repeat himself, as that would be embarrassing. He lowered his hand, and folded his hands neatly on his desk. Malhy at his feet was still the huge tiger, and he turned his large pale blue eyes to Zarek's face and his mouth hung open a little.

'You did well. Don't be so shy.'

After the handshake, Samantha nodded, slid back to her seat, and scooted her chair in, the smile on her face growing more genuine as Colonel Jim described his life in the Exploration Corps. Honestly, she didn't know too much about the military beyond the family stories that her uncles and father used to ramble on with. However, it was that reminder of her family - namely, her father - that illicited her giving her full attention to the introduction. That, of course, and he fact that he was her teacher! She crossed her legs and looked down at the syllabus, deciding to read over the safety instructions like she was told.

The mouse daemon, meanwhile, shifted into a longer, more slender shape as it continued to balance on her shoulder. He chirped cheerily, albeit quietly, at Samantha's slowly growing comfort level. Watching happily as she thumbed through the syllabus, paying special attention to the safety instructions, he climbed down onto the desk. 'Sam. He's asking for introductions... Why don't you go ahead?'

Right as she was pondering what the scarlet macaw did that made it into the safety rules, Sam glanced away from the packet and towards her daemon. Of course, she had also been listening to the teacher and the introductioins of the other students. 'No,' she thought, 'I think I'll wait for him to call on me. I don't want to interrupt anyone else that wants to go first.' The excuse even sounded lame in her head, but her smile persisted. She had no objections to answering the question, but she wanted a moment to think on it. There was a much smaller chance that she would trip over her own words that way.

-----

Benjamin, somewhat reluctantly, parted his gaze from the snake and headed to a seat in the approximate center of the room. He sat down in it and leaned back, his feet forcing the chair to balance on its two back legs. The professor's life story didn't exactly fascinate him, but he'd heard things that were far less interesting before. Instead of watching the speaker, he decided to cast his gaze on the plant he was instructed not to touch. If it wasn't for the paper being flopped onto his desk distracting him, he might have decided to prod it or something. The syllabus didn't interest him too much, as he was listening intently to the other students' introductions. After Zarek was done speaking, Benjamin ceased staring at the plant on his desk, sat up in his chair, and spoke up. "Me name's Benjamin Burrows, and I'm about eighteen er so," he started off, somewhat loudly. "My daemon hasn't told me her name yet. She's bein' stubborn about it. But I like sharks, rays, an' dolphins. Gulls're fine too, I guess. They make them nice noises."

He paused, looking at his daemon, who had taken a seat at his feet and flopped down as some sort of freakish seal-goat. The boy had to stifle a laugh. A bleat later, she flashed into a laughing gull, arranging her wings in what he perceived to be a shrug. 'Go on, ye ain't finished yet.'

"Oh yeah! I like ta be out on the water an' such, so I guess you'cd say that any animal out there's good company." Ben clicked his tongue, looking about at the folks around him. He didn't really expect to get anything out of the course, despite the fact that it had the abilty to be quite useful. Quickly, though, he strung together a reason for signing up other than it looking like something he wouldn't sleep through. "Bein' able to know more about animals seemed like a good idea. I've seen a right lot of 'em that I didn't know what was before I came here, and I guess this class'll help t' fix that. Heh. Just seemed like fun, too."

Alette listened intently as others introduced themselves, doing her best to remember names and faces. Faces were usually easy, names on the other hand, often escaped her. It wasn't that she had a particularly poor memory, she just tended to only remember those who were important to her. If she, say, spoke to the student often, they would forever be engraved in her mind. If she, however, did not make any bonds, they wouldn't register.

As a pause came between other students introducing themselves, Alette leaned slightly towards Zarek and whispered quietly under her breath.

"Sorry, Z, I wut'n't meanin' to give ya a start."

Constance seemed a bit relieved as attention was drawn away from the serpent in the back and towards the actual lecture. He had no qualms with this and actually felt in his element as his hand shot up, after Benjamin finished introducing himself. He seemed far different from the nervous boy at the door, but then again, snakes that size did that to him.

He cleared his throat and the dæmon at his side, now a richly colored macaw, waved a paw at the class in an almost playful fashion.

"Was his dæmon solid enough for you to see? What a goof!" She chuckled slightly, not meaning any harm.

"My name is Constance Lockwood and I an fourteen years old. This is my Derringo, she's usually taking the form of some sort of bird or another, most the time. I don't really have a favorite animal, but what I do like to do is paint and make things. I really just want to learn what I can in this class, to further better my studies." He nodded confidently, but quickly added a few words as an afterthought. "I got a limp, because my leg was broken about two years ago. You say anything about it and you'll regret it."

Though he remained pleasant, there was an underlying threat in his tone. He hadn't really been in a fight in some time, but he was almost always on the defensive when it came to his short stature and limp.

"Might as well go and tell 'em off, I guess., and be honest about it. Being aggressive now isn't going to win you any friends, love~"
Ringo clacked her large beak and ran the ribbon she clung to through her four-toed paws.
