Kagome looked up from where she'd just finished starting up the cooking fire, and smiled at her friend, wiping her hands on her skirt as she straightened.
"Hiya, Miroku. How are you doing?"
-----
Yasashiku's gaze lifted suddenly from the stream at the sound of running feet, and snapped onto the girl running towards the stream. She hadn't acknowledged his presence so he guessed that in her hurry she hadn't seen him. A small smirk curled his lips. This could be fun.
Rising, he moved swiftly and silently around the trees separating him from his sister, making sure to keep behind her and out of her sight range. Moving silently forwards, he came up behind her, hearing her words and peering over her shoulder to see what it was she was holding.
"You shouldn't be playing with father's sword," he commented, watching to see how high she jumped this time.

Kohana jumped up right where she was standing. "Yasashiku! I hate it when you do that!! Besides...um...Father said I could borrow the sword." Kohana quickly begain to move away.
------
Miroku walked over to Kagome. "Hello Kagome. I'm great, just walking around. Sango's out for the day. Say where's Inuyasha?"

"Liar," Yasashiku accused his twin, swiftly catching ahold of her arm so that she couldn't run away from him. "Father never lets anyone play with his sword. What are you going to do with it?"
----
Kagome frowned slightly.
"That's a good question. You know what he's like. He'll probably turn up soon," She cast her gaze out of the window next to her, wondering also where her children were. "The kids take after him," She shook her head slightly and smiled again, returning her gaze to Miroku. "What about your two? Where are Mitsuki and Hiroshi these days?"

Kohana tried to free here arm for Yasashiku, but failing. "I swear! Father let me borrow it!" Kohana pulled harder. "Just let me go already!" Kohana broke free, but fell to the ground. "Now look what you did! Moms going to kill me when she sees what I did to my clothes!"
----- Miroku shrugged. "No clue. I think they went with Sango today. *sigh* I just wish they would tell me these things." Miroku stared back at Kagome. "Your right about you kids you know. They do take after Inuyasha, but I'm not really sure which on take after him more." Miroku smiled.

"It's impolite to swear," Yasashiku commented, an invisible smirk curling his lips as he watched her struggle to break free, obviously flustered to be caught. He raised a single silver eyebrow at her as she fell to the ground, complaining about her clothes. "Now maybe you'll tell me the truth. What are you going to do with Father's sword?" It wasn't as though he was going to tell on her. He'd long grown out of taddling. If it was interesting enough he wanted to join in.

Kohana glared at him. "If you must know...Mom and dad have been getting really furious about not defeating Naraku, so I'm going to go after him by myself." Kohana stood up and shook her clothes.

"Seems like were both in the same boat," Kagome mused, looking back out of the window. I don't know either. Kohana has his wild spirit and Yasashiku has his secretive stubborness. When they're together, they're so much like him it's uncanny," Her smile returned to her face and she looked back at her old friend. "Anyway, enough of this stuff. You hungry? I just put the dinner on, if you're interested,"
-----
Yasashiku was somewhat surprised at this reply. He knew his sister was reckless, but he didn't think she was this stupid! He didn't show his surprise in his expression though - a feat he'd long ago mastered - as he looked down at her, being the slightly taller of the two.
"Don't be stupid," he told her dryly. "One, Mom, Dad, Sango and Miroku couldn't defeat him. What does that tell you? And two, how do you expect to beat him on your own?"

Miroku sat down. "Why yes, Kagome I would." He pondered for a moment. "Kagome, you don't think you kids and my kids would do anything really stupid would you?"
------ Kohana stared at the ground. "I don't know how I would do it, but I just would. Also I know that Mom and dad, Sango and Miroku couldn't beat him, but I just have to try!"

Yasashiku raised another eyebrow at his sister, watching her closely as his arms crossed over his chest, looking down at her solemn form.
"Why do you think you need to prove yourself?" he asked her.
-----
Kagome thought quietly as she stirred the stew around in the pot, facing away from Miroku.
"I don't know," she replied after a while. "I worry about that. They're all so secretive a lot of the time, it makes you wonder what they're up to. I just hope they have enough sense between them not to get themselves hurt,"

Kohana didn't speak for a moment. "I really don't need to prove myself, but I just feel like I need to do something or my life is going to be pointless." Kohana walked over and picked up Tetsusaiga. "Besides, I don't even know if this thing is going to work for me."
-----------
Miroku smiled. "I'm positive that you kids have enough sense to not get into trouble, but my kids on the other hand. I have no clue."

"Mitsuki and Hiroshi aren't stupid enough to do that. They take after you and Sango just as mush as the twins take after InuYasha," she carefully spooned some of the stew into two bowls and handed one to Miroku.
-----
"I guess I'll have to come with you," Yasashiku said after a pause with a over exaggerating the exasperation it would cause him. He couldn't have her getting herself hurt after all. Their mother would kill him.

Kohana glared at him. "You don't think I can do this all by myself? Well for you information, I can! I'm going alone!"
-----
Miroku gladdly exepted the soup from Kagome. He took a bit. "Mmm. Kagome this fantastic. I wish Sango could cook this good." He said jokingly(sp?)

"And what are you gonna do when Naraku beats you to a pulp and you can't get home again, hmm?" Yasashiku countered skeptically. Honestly, for a twin she really was nothing like him. She was far too headstrong for her own good. She should know by now that he wasn't going to let her have all the fun and glory.
-----
Kagome smiled and laughed at her friend's good humor. She knew well enough that he loved everything about Sango, even her cooking.
"At least it's getting eaten by someone," she said, taking some of her own.

(I will be gone this weekend. See you on monday!)
Kohana stared at him. "You just want to come along don't you?" Kohana was begining to see through her brothers tactics.
----
Miroku smiled. "You shouldn't say that. Your food is great Kagome."

((Ok. Bye! *waves*))
"I suppose it does sound like it could be fun," Yasashiku shrugged with a small smirk. "But you know Mom would kill me if I didn't go with you anyway, so I really have no choice,"
---
Kagome laughed.
"Yeah, but it needs people here to eat it. The kids and InuYasha are always out somehwere,"
