Reaper glanced up at her, then over at the globe. "Good news. Who all do I have to go pick up then?"

"Well..." Edel began, taking another sip. "Batman, the younger one, is prancing around Gotham. And Black Cat has landed somewhere in what I believe is called 'No Man's Land'."

Reaper perked up just a bit. "She's back again? How did she get back?"

"She just...appeared. The globe doesn't show how."

"But you could find out."

"....I could. But that would take some effort."

"It would be a big help if you would lend a hand. This world's sorcerer is gone at the moment."

Edel hesitated, growing a bit uncomfortable. "That would be prying. Some situations should be handled like insects that sting. Typically if you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone. Getting excited and swatting about will stir trouble."

"Not if you're just looking."

"....If the need becomes unavoidable, I suppose I'll help. In the meantime, I'll just keep an eye on things that happen here on Earth. Would that be alright?"

Reaper sighed. "If that's the most I can get from you." he said as he stood from the couch.

"You're leaving?" Edel asked, placing her dish down.

"Might as well go round people up." he replied.

Edel paused a moment, then took a careful glance over at the globe again. "Then...might I suggest you start with the woman? The Bat is in the middle of doing something constructive. The girl is with company right now."

Reaper paused himself. "Company?"

"She's not in immediate danger or anything. But you may simply want to see her first." she said simply.

Reaper paused another beat, then disappeared within a shadow.

EXIT REAPER TO NO MAN'S LAND

[Enter Azazel from Sanctum Sanctorum.]

With the sound of air rushing out of the area and a puff of smoke, Azazel appeared in an alley between two close buildings. He stepped out onto the street, deciding against disguising himself in the interest of proving himself dedicated to working together well.

Those who were on the street, many clothed in rather old fashioned styles, turned and stared curiously at the newcomer. A few whispered back and forth to one another, and many exchanged looks, but none seemed very bothered by the man. A few even shrugged and began going about their business.
They had no need to worry about the man. The one who ruled over this patch of the city would certainly take care of them should the being mean ill. This area practically permeated a very light hint of magical energy, she'd know when anything new entered her domain.

Edel, still in the gathering place of her home, suddenly blinked and glanced curiously towards her window. Curiosity quickly turned in to amusement with a very small hint of annoyance. "I said I leave wasps alone, so he brings them to my doorstep..." she sighed, placing her glass teacup down on the table.
Carefully, she stood from her chair and started towards her door. Vice returned through the room and blocked her exit, looking....more than just a little aggrivated. Edel stopped and smiled at him. "Forget something?"

"Goss wants her stuff. Now." he replied in a rather surrendered tone.

"Alright, alright..." she replied with a small smile.
On the ground by Vice's foot, a small tan bag materialized from the air around him. As large as it was, it was clear that it was stuffed full.

"I really don't want to make a return trip."

"That's everything." Edel assured him. "And with a bit of interest."

"Nothing she can throw at my head, right?" he sighed as he picked up the bag and huffed it back out the door.

Edel grinned a bit and walked out the door behind him, everything locking and shutting by itself once she was out of the house.
She was going to go supervise a bit to make absolutely SURE that nothing that happened here was going to come back and sting her.

A moment or two later, a shadow spun in the alley behind Azazel and wrapped around the corner of the building wall beside him. Reaper walked out of the black wall and stood with his arms crossed as the shadow slipped back into the alley. He regarded the demon with a look that said he still didn't quite trust the man.
No surprise. He trusted hardly anyone to begin with.

"What is this place?" Azazel asked, looking around hungrily and drinking in the magic that permeated the ground and the walls and the very air around him.

"Just a small fairy tale town." Reaper replied as he arched a dark brow at the man very slightly. He didn't like the look on the demon's face. Perhaps this was the wrong place to meet right away. "Made by a rather powerful witch. It's fairly off the radar unless you already know of it's existence."

Inside, Azazel was grinning evilly. This place made his power grow, just by being here. Maybe in the future he would try to conquer it. Or maybe not, it all depended. But on to the matters at hand.

He spun on his heel and looked at Reaper, regarding him silently for about half a minute. "So what made you come?" he asked, now that it was his turn to look skeptical and judgmental. "Seemed like you didn't trust me before."

"I don't." Reaper replied. "Nor do I put my trust in anyone without good reason to. To be honest, I wanted to get you out of the house so that the others could go about their business. I'm still not entirely convinced we need your help, but I thought I'd let you state what you needed. This area, I'm sure, will help me with considering it."
Plus...it wasn't like HE left the house. The one the demon was currently talking to was a duplicate that had been stationary nearby. The real deal was still in the sanctum.

In one of the buildings across from the two, a small caffe, Edel took a seat at one of the tables by the window. She didn't really have to walk in to arrive there. This was her town after all. Nor did she have to exert much magic to preform the task. She had enough magical security within every wall of the town that it hid practically anything she did inside as far as magic went.
She didn't want to draw attention to herself just yet. She was merely her to observe and make sure there weren't going to be any problems. Unfortunately...it seemed she might have a problem with the Demon regardless. Another reason she kept to simply granting wishes to the unfortunate rather than get caught up with beings like this. Oh well...she'd address the problem in a few moments.

Azazel held up a finger to Reaper, turned, and slammed his foreheard into the brick wall of the alley. "Why are you people all so stubborn and foolish?" Azazel asked, his annoyance finally beginning to show. "You aren't convinced you need my help? Are you joking? The thing that you're up against took your most powerful ally like he was a pawn, and swept almost every single one of your friends under the rug like the bad mess they were and you don't want the help of a mage and commander with the power to cross dimensions and summon a literal army to help you?"

He sighed and crossed his arms, regaining control of himself. "Perhaps I was misguided in offering my help, then," he said to himself, looking up into the sky. "Having such foolish teammates would undoubtedly unravel any strategy I could conceive to help you."

Edel grinned and placed a hand over her mouth to hide it as she watched out the window. Well, suppose this could be a bit entertaining at the least.

Reaper paused a moment and stared at the being with an arched brow. After a moment he raised his hand and held up a finger himself. "One. I would hardly consider any of them my friends. Strange had been protecting me from a problem I had, and so I had to promise not to mess with any of the heroes." he said, his tone hinting at a growl. He held up another finger. "Two. That all said, I am NOT a hero. I am NOT used to doing this kind of thing. I have more trust issues than probably anyone. Because we have no idea what happened to anyone, and you're not exactly an angel, it wasn't a very hard discussion to be suspicious that you could be involved with it somehow. As paranoid sounding as that might be. I also don't believe people of our social type do ANYTHING without wanting something in return." He raised another finger. "Three. I'm not from either of these worlds, I don't know you, and I have no clue as to what you're capable of or have to offer. I didn't know any of that, and as far as I was concerned before, you were just a demon. I also had just said that this place would help me decide whether we should take you up on the offer."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:35 pm

Azazel listened as Reaper spoke, sarcastically making a mouth with his hand and rolling his eyes. However, when Reaper said the word "angel," Azazel froze for just a split second and looked very, very hard at the being in front of him. It didn't appear he was even listening after that; just his brain working at miles per minute as he regarded Reaper. He cleared his throat.

"To address your statements in order: One. Well, that's not really my problem, though I can understand your lack of attachment. I am, however, making an offer you can appreciate, as I'm trying to help get Strange back. Two: you don't have to trust me at all. I assure you, I won't be trusting any of you anymore than you should trust me. If you agree to my help, I will make it very clear that you're pawns and I'm the one controlling the game so that we can win. I know what I'm doing; I've been doing this for millenia." He conveniently avoided the angel topic.

"Three. You don't need to know me, really. I'm not really all that known, and I keep it that way. Unlike some of the grandstanders you might have met, I'm content to stay out of the light and do my work without demanding recognition. And lastly, what about this place would help you decide?" Response completed, Azazel sighed and leaned against the wall.

"I believe he was referring to me." replied a small, childish voice from behind Reaper. Reaper blinked, then turned and found a small girl with curly black ringlets pulled back into a purple bow. She smiled up at him and placed her hands behind her small old-fashioned violet dress.

This...wasn't who he was expecting. He'd been expecting Edel to show up in person and give him a second opinion on the matter. But, this child had no blood flowing through her whatsoever, and her mind was clearly Edels. He was guessing that this was her way of showing up but staying out of the situation at the same time. Strange made duplicates of himself, suppose Edel like to take a more creative approach on the same concept.
"Not you exactly..."

The girl smiled. "I told you I don't mess with things that sting. Bad boy."

Reaper sighed then turned back towards the being. "I figured the witch would be able to judge the situation better than I could and help with the whole decision. Seems she doesn't want to show up in person."

"Finally, someone with a hint of sense," Azazel said, his amusement at the witch's ploy showing in a genuine smile. "I like your style, ma'am. Whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"

The young girl giggled a bit. "You may address me as Edelweiss, the Witch of Fruition." she replied, giving her title a rather authoritative tone tacked onto it. "You'll have to excuse me for not greeting you in person. I was expecting neither visitors nor problems of such a high rank to walk onto my doorstep." she continued, giving Reaper a slightly reprimanding glance, though there was still clear affection within it.
