Kiyoko waited a moment watching him as he stared at the moon. As easy as it would be to find out what he was thinking about, she didn't want to be rude and so she left it alone. If he had something he wanted to share then he would tell her. He turned to her and told her to lead the way. She nodded and started leading the way out of the cemetery.

Matsuya pulled his collar up again. The cold of the mist was something Matsuya would never adjust to. He tucked his hands into his pockets and followed Kiyoko.

”Kaze Nishimura… Nakura Nishimura… Ganji Hoshigaki.” Hirokatsuo read the three headstones that were next to each other, with the one reading Kaze Nishimura’s name was in the middle. He wore a white shirt a purple vest over it along with a loose black tie. He wears an unusual style of pants and white shoes. Overlying this he wears a black jacket with a purple cuff and a gold circle around that. He wears purple gloves with a gold streak in the center of it and a guard at the wrists. These gloves are fingerless were fingerless, and his right hand was on the handle of his weapon on his right hip. The sword was an extremely sharp blade that could cut through many things, including its own owner. This weapon, katana, was named Mekajiki due to her shape resembling a swordfish, and her original model looking like a swordfish. Mekajiki looked like a normal katana with the exception of the guard. The decoration of the tsuba was 4 pointed star, which is taken as 4 flat swordfish nose. The tsuka of the katana is black. Though she appears to be a normal katana, she is not. The blade itself feels far smother on her sides, made for sliding through things after they've been pierced, while the tip and both sides of the blade are sharp and also made for piercing into things, which makes her user always cautious of the way they handle her. The tip is that of a swordfish's tip, sharp and made for easy piercing. It is said that simply placing your finger on the sharper ends causes instant bleeding. Because of how dangerous she is even by being scratched she is kept in bandages in her sheathe to keep the wielder safe, just in case. Mekajiki has been passed down from Nishimura to Nishimura for generations, and Hirokatsuo was the one to inherit it this time.

”You were going to teach me how to wield Mekajiki, dad… but...” Hirokatsuo clenched his left fist, and grasped Mekajiki’s handle tighter as his mind filled with the one night his father sacrificed himself to save his one and only son, Hirokatsuo. It was a night that Hirokatsuo would never forget. Because of his foolishness his father died. His mother, Nakura, died in a similar manner—she had gone to save Hirokatsuo from doing something reckless and as a result….

Ganji was loyal to Hirokatsuo's father, Kaze. As a Hoshigaki has to become loyal to someone before they become Chuunin, and since they were best friends since the academy, Ganji chose Kaze Nishimura to be loyal to. And Ganji felt the same guilt that Hirokatsuo felt, if not more. Kaze entrusted Ganji to keep Nakura and Hirokatsuo safe, and he only succeeded with one of those tasks.

”… and Ganji… thank you for helping me with my training. Because of you, I didn’t back down or back off anyone or any enemy. You gave me will power and strength. I thank you for that.” Hirokatsuo looked to his mother’s grave and walked in front of it. ”Mom... all I can really say is that I’m sorry for my mistakes.”

Hirokatsuo turned around, his back now facing the headstones. ”Now, dad, mom, uncle…” Hirokatsuo whispered,”I’ll let you all be proud of me once I join the Seven Swordsman of the Mist’s strongest member.” After that, a single tear fell from Hirokatsuo’s cheek as he exited the cemetery. With a strong resolve in mind he was sure to excel in his goals and ideals.

As the mist thickened, Hirokatsuo was no longer visible as he went to the village streets.

Nero smiled, laughing playfully, dragged into the graveyard on Mileena's arm. He stopped in front of the hill with the gravestones on it. It was a lot less work than the library, which caused him to hold in his groan of disapproval. He turned to face Mileena. So...where should we start? He asked her, brushing hair out of his face. A leaf fell from a nearby tree and landed on his shoulder. He picked it up and flicked it off. He yawned, looking around the area, trying to decide what to do, completely forgetting their arms were still locked.

Mileena Mayu
~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~

Arriving at the hills and stepping through the sparse mist made Mileena feel strangely at ease. As discomforting as it should sound with her being around so many dead bodes, that was not the case. She smiled as she looked around and inhaled deeply, taking in all the air her lungs could handle. Then her moment of peace passed when Nero spoke, asking her where they should start. In truth, she had half forgotten about their purpose here before he spoke, and she wanted to just stand around a little longer, but he was right. She sighed and looked up at him.
"I say we do separate tasks to make the work faster. I'll dust the gravestones while you pick the weeds. We can even make it to be a race. The first one to finish will get to ask the other to do anything, a dare if you will, and they must oblige. How does that sound?" Mileena realized her mistake and censured herself mentally for her lack of insight. She had forgotten to bring a duster of any sort which she would need to dust the gravestones. She decided to improvise, something she was exceptionally good at since a very young age.

She attempted to move away from Nero's side, and found herself being held back. It was then that she remembered that her arm was intertwined with his. She removed it and blushed slightly before she made her way over to a tree close to where she had just stood. She searched and searched until her eyes caught what it was that she wanted to find. A family of birds sat in their nest on branch. She was having second thoughts, thinking maybe she should use the feathers in her hair. Then she thought against it. She closed her eyes and tried to touch the minds of the birds. She knew that the animals communicated through emotions, not actual words. She found this out several years ago when she experimented. The birds knew what she was doing and flailed in their nest for a while until finally they calmed down after learning of Mileena's good intentions. Mileena passed her feelings through to them, and tried talking to them as well.
"Hello little birdies. Sorry to bother you, but I have this really important task that I have to accomplish, and I can't do it without a few of your feathers. If you could please share some of the with me, I would be very happy". 'I must be going crazy'. When the birds didn't react or fly away, Mileena took this as acquiescence. She concentrated, using her new-found ability to levitate herself up to the branch and to where the nest stood. This took much effort on her part, and she found that the higher she went the more strain it caused on her mind. She petted the birds, smiling at them and then gently, ever so gently, plucked a few of their feathers from their body. They flapped their wings softly as she plucked, but they remained right where they were.

Just as Mileena thought she had more than enough feathers to make a proper duster, she lowered herself back to the ground. She then looked around for a stick, which didn't take too long. This one was perfect. It was thick enough to not crack under pressure. She searched for a sturdy piece of rope or a plant or anything she could use to hold the feathers against the stick. She found a piece of string, miraculous as it seemed, and tied it around the stick now adorned with the feathers. There she had it, her very own duster. She went back over to where Nero stood before him with eyes that glimmered with challenge.
"If there are no objections, we'll begin in three, two, one..." Mileena sprinted over to the first gravestone, slowly dusting away at her own leisure, putting Nero into a false sense of security that he would win. She looked back at him an winked, then turned back to her work.

Nero grinned, sprinting over to the nearest bunch of weeds along the side of the gravestones lining the inner area. He began furiously picking. He opened the small brown sack he had brought for this, which was hidden in his senbon pouch, since he had emptied it, it was the perfect spot. He put the weeds in it and began to pick furiously. He grinned and looked over at Mileena, he wasn't going to lose. He couldn't. He even knew what he was going to do for the Dare, so he had to win. No fair, you cheated! He told her, jokingly. He grinned and continued to pick. He wasn't going to be fooled by her lackadaisical method of dusting. She was up to something, but he didn't care, he ignored it completely, continuing to pick at his accelerated rate. He was about 20% done, and he moved onto the next spot.

Mileena Mayu
~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~

Mileena was giggling the time away as she dusted the stones with much deserved care. These were the final resting places for the Shinobi that served this village and died either in the line of duty or unjustly. When Nero finally reacted and began his task, Mileena decided that she needed to speed things along or she would lose the bet, her own bet, the very one she proposed. Nero's thoughts came to her so naturally, without her even realizing that she had the link formed with him still. 'Cheating eh? That's not such a bad idea, especially when you wont know that I had anything to do with it' Mileena smirked. She severed all connection between herself and Nero, being sure to keep her mind and all her thoughts away from him, in a subtle was in order for him to not notice of course. She then thought back to the birds that she had befriended through unconventional means earlier, trying to communicate with them once more, but this time, it was far easier. She fed them images of Nero as a bad person, wanting to ruin the Memorial and desecrate the graves. The birds seemed to understand what the images and thoughts meant, as they flew from their nest with violent flaps of their wings and swooped down to meet Nero, pecking at him and limiting his vision landing on his face and circling him. 'Maybe I gave them too many negative thoughts of him...' Mileena wondered what he would gather about all this, but put it to the back of her mind for the moment as she continued dusting away, a good portion of the graves already looking spick and span.

Nero groaned and looked at Mileena. I didn't want to have to do this...but I'm not losing this bet. He thought to himself. He made a quick handseal, then released a breath of frigid air, paying no attention to the amount of force behind it. His howling blast jutsu sent the birds flying backwards, injured. After a few angry tweets and chirps, the birds flew away and left Nero alone. He continued to pick the weeds before a devious thought came to his mind. Making a few more handseals, he shot a small Mizu Peretto at Mileena, which struck her, causing her to drop her feather, which blew away in the wind. He grinned and continued to pick the weeds he was assigned to pick, now about halfway done with his assignment. He was sure he had a clear advantage at this point, because the feather Mileena was using came from a bird, it was now gone. On top of that, the birds were gone too, having been scared away by Nero's jutsu. And in addition to all of that, Mileena was all wet too. He was lazy, but he was also rather competitive. He hated losing. He usually would be concerned, or would check to see if Mileena was okay after using a jutsu on her, but in this case, he didn't check. He simply hoped for the best, and enjoyed his current advantage.

Mileena Mayu
~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~

Mileena barely noticed what Nero was about to do as he formed his handsigns. She used her telepathy to frighten and agitate the bids, causing them to move away from Nero in fear quickly, and only barely managing to avoid his frosty breath. One of them got caught on the left wing, and fell to the ground, unable to flap with enough speed to move off. The others scattered in every direction, fleeing the scene.Mileena walked over to the bird, severing the link with Nero and forming it with the bird, trying to soothe it so she could help. This proved a mistake, as she was unaware of the new set of handsigns that Nero was forming, and took the water bullet square in the chest as she took a step back to hold her balance, and her hands opened wide to release the duster, which fate decided in the form of a gust of wind that Mileena shouldn't have. It flew away only a few feet from her, and would be easy to retrieve afterwards, For now, she was wet, and had a crippled bird before her that needed help. She knelt down on one knee and started to massage the wing that was frozen. The warmth from her hand eventually melted the ice and the bird managed to fly away.

Mileena turned around to retrieve the duster and noticed that it was farther away than it had been only moments ago. 'It's official. The spirits here hate me' She ran over to it quickly and gathered it up in her hand, realizing that a few of the feathers had gotten loose and flew away with the wind. A heavy sigh fell from her lips as she went back to the gravestone that she had been at before the incident. She looked at Nero with a devious smile, that of a schemer. Forming the connection with Nero once more, she decided to leave it there for now.
"Oh? Two can play at that game". Mileena formed several handsigns and almost immediately after she had finished, the thin mist around Nero's feet started to coalesce and thicken, weighing down his lower body some until finally, the mist condensed enough to freeze around his feet thus paralysing his lower body. She smiled, knowing that this wouldn't keep him for long, but she decided it would give her enough time to pass him. She dusted away, moving from stone to stone with great speeds.

It hadn't been more than a few seconds after the jutsu began that he realized he couldn't move his feet. He sighed. With a quick handsign, he used his water manipulation jutsu to drop the jutsu used on him, which he assumed was the same one. He continued to pick up the weeds. He only had a few more to go before he was done, and didn't feel like being bothered with retaliating, as he was almost finished, and figured it would just waste time. He continued to pick the weeds, yawning to himself. He was tired, and wanted to get to work on his bloodlines, which he had still yet to learn completely. He had practiced them a bit, but not enough to perfect them, so they were still rather ineffective. Not to mention he had other jutsu he needed to practice. He looked over at Mileena, who was tending to a bird, and he grinned. There was no way she would be able to beat her, especially since her duster was partially broken now, missing a few of its feathers, and would be much less effective than it had been before.

He was excited, he could tell he had the advantage. He began to think of what he would ask of Mileena for the dare, but couldn't come up with anything at all. At least not anything worth asking. Maybe...hrm. Maybe I can just keep it as like...an IOU from her, and have her do something later when I think of something? He thought to himself. He wanted to think about it further, but decided against it. He had to prioritize if he wanted to win. The dare could come after, it was the prize after all, so he did have to win before he got it. He decided to just continue weeding and worry about the whole prize thing later.

Mileena noticed the relent pouring from Nero in waves and took that as a gesture of forfeit. She stood where she was and smirked while he got back to plucking weeds, then only a minute or so later she realized what had happened. She had wasted time, giving him the start he needed to finish his work before her. Looking around now, Mileena saw that most of the weeds around the graves had been removed and awaiting disposal. She looked at her own work and saw that only a few of the graves had work to be done on them. She rushed over to one of them and began dusting, but it was not going as smoothly as she had hoped. Feathers were falling from the duster faster than she could dust, and at this rate, she wouldn't be able to finish the task properly. She picked up each feather that feel and replaced them in the duster, handling it with more care than she had been before.

Nero grinned as he picked up his last weed from by the far iron wall of the graveyard. He looked at Mileena and held it up, putting it in the bag. Done. I'll take my prize whenever. He told her, as he walked a distance away, throwing the bag of weeds over a fence, into a large dumpster. He waited on Mileena to say something, and he sat down on top of the fence, a few yards from the garbage, where it didn't smell. Now...what do I want to use my dare on...that's the real question... He thought to himself, trying to think of a good dare. He noticed it had gotten rather dark. They had been at the graveyard cleaning for a few hours, and he hadn't even noticed what time it was. It was 9:47 PM, and it was pitch black. He decided he would simply follow the noise Mileena was making, due to the leaves on the ground, in order to get to her. He then realized, she had a little bit more to do, so he sat down on a bench a short distance away, and closed his eyes. Taking a short nap, lasting a few minutes. What's the worst that could happen in 5 minutes? I deserve a little nap, as far as I'm concerned. He thought to himself, smiling and dozing off.

Mileena Mayu
~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~

Mileena watched begrudgingly as Nero traipse over to the fence with the bag in hand and casually throw it over the fence, where it made soft rustle as it joined the other refuse. Then her imagination went into overdrive when she realized that he had won the bet. 'His prize. What could that prize be?' Turning back to face the gravestone she was at, Mileena couldn't help but sigh and hold her stomach as hundreds, maybe even thousands of butterflies flittered around in there. 'Is this feeling because he won? No. It can't be. Something's going to happen' She could feel it, body and mind. A strange feeling was coming off all around her, and so she decided to finish her task posthaste. She finished several minutes later and stood up to look at the sky, seeing that it was her favourite time of the day, nightfall, when the moon peeked at her from above. It was barely visible due to all the mist, but it was enough to illuminate the area. She looked down at the duster in hand and smiled. It was haggard and old looking, with a feather here and a feather there after having had most of them fall off during the course of her work. She threw the stick as far away as she could, leaving no evidence of it having ever been in the graveyard, making it appear as if all the feathers around were natural cause of the birds shedding.

The same feeling came again, sending Mileena's head veering around to the right, then to the left, then to her right again. She calmed her breathing enough to listen closely to any sounds that might have come from the distance. That's when she heard it. The rustle of the leaves beyond the trees. Surely this could have been only the wind, but Mileena had learned to trust the feelings she got. She used the connection she had formed with Nero to try communicating with him now.
"Nero. Nero". 'Unbelievable! He's already asleep!' Mileena gathered oxygen as if she were preparing to say something that required a lot of breath, then she let loose with a scream so loud it would most likely deafen a person for some time. It was of course, a mental scream, aimed directly at Nero in hopes of rousing him and alerting him of the danger they may be in. "Wake up! We have trouble". Mileena watched as three bulky looking men stepped through the shroud and stood in plain sight before her. She didn't dare speak to them telepathically, she never did with anyone unless she knew she could trust them. And these men did not give that vibe. One of the men spoke, the one in the middle who was apparently the leader of the goons. "Get outta the way girlie. We're just gonna take what we want and be on our way". 'Grave robbers. These men are here to desecrate a place as sacred as this'. Mileena said nothing.

Nero was lying on the bench, dreaming. He was dreaming about a big bowl of ramen, that he had just finished. And he was walking home to go practice a jutsu, when suddenly, Mileena appeared. "Nero...Nero." She had said. He was too busy enjoying his dream to pay any mind to the fact that Mileena was completely unable to talk. He turned in his sleep silently, before his eyes shot open, after Mileena began to scream, incredibly loud. He sat up, rubbing his eyes, but making no noise. He heard the leaves rustle slightly, then again. There were 3 quick bursts of movement. 3 People are here, and they are close to Mileena. Judging by the sound made by her stepping back, I'd say they were within an arm length or two away from her. Well..this totally sucks. He thought to himself. He moved silently, along his weeding route. It was completely dark, and Nero was, as always, wearing dark blue, and black. Perfect. He moved behind a gravestone, silently, then saw Mileena. Her back actually. She was facing the three goons. He closed his eyes and thought for a minute. He decided he should just go in and help, rather than let her possibly die.

"And...if we were to...say...not move, then what happens?" He asked them. He was now right next to Mileena, who had jumped slightly at the sound of his voice. She most likely hadn't expected him to even wake up so soon, let alone be so quick in getting there, so she was a bit surprised. Nero didn't even expect himself to react so quickly. However, he was there now, and that's all that counted. He put his hand in his Kunai pouch, and blinked, still appearing as not much more than a pair of eyes in the darkness.

He continued to stare at them, not getting any type of chakra signal at all. These men weren't ninja. They were samurai, at best. They might not even have good sword skills, but they definitely didn't have any real ninjutsu to use at their disposal. This was of some importance, so he decided he'd inform Mileena. These guys aren't ninja. I'd guess they are goons. Samurai, maybe. They don't have any ninjutsu to use though. Let's take a step back, in case they are armed. Wouldn't want either of us having to leave this fight missing limbs, now would we. He told her, as he took a step back, and she did the same.

Nero grinned widely, his hand reaching deeper into his Kunai pocket. He took notice of their surroundings. There was a gravestone behind the three men, as well as one behind Mileena and Nero. Also. Watch out for the man in the middle. He's got the shovel. Also...careful, there's a gravestone behind us, as well as one right behind them. Don't trip over either of them. He told her, grinning.

He had most of his chakra, and she had almost all of hers, so he was confident they could take them. However, he hoped they would just leave after noticing they had been caught. Needless to say, that didn't happen, so he had to look back at them and see what their options were. The one on the left is unarmed, he won't be much of a threat. The one in the middle only has a shovel, and its on his back, so it will take a sec before he can do much. The one on the right, however, has a kunai pouch, as well as a folded Fuma Shuriken. Watch out for him. Other than that...they are pretty much just regular people, without ninjutsu. He informed her, with a grin.

"Oh yea, one more thing you guys. If you so much as lay a finger on her...I'll personally kill every one of you." He told them, boldly, full of confidence. His hand slipped into his kunai pouch and he placed a finger on one of them, ready for battle.

Mileena Mayu
~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~

The distance between the Mileena and the men wasn't so great, three steps, maybe four, and they'd have her in their clutches. She noticed, without even moving so much as an inch, that Nero was creeping closer. Mileena feigned surprise at the sound of his voice suddenly appearing beside her, knowing that that was the reaction he had expected. If he could see her face in the dark, he would see them rolling. Of course she had noticed him. The link between their minds prevented him from keeping any of his thoughts to himself. Mileena turned back to the men, delving ever so subtly into each of their minds, open and waiting for her to explore. There would be no way for them to block her out since they apparently had no idea that people like her even existed. The moment she gathered all the information she needed, she was about to relay it all to Nero, but he had been doing analysis of his own.

When he told her what he found out, it was all to a T on what she already knew, and she happily obliged and took a step back when she was asked. The guy with the shovel was fine, but when he told her about the gravestones, she couldn't help but answer with a derogatory remark.
"What do you think I've been doing this whole time? I was the one dusting all the gravestones, not you. I already know where they all are since I've spent so much of my day with them". Even with all that said, Mileena's face remained as neutral as it had ever been. She found it funny that he would worry about her so much, or at least she thought it was worry. She listened to him ramble on about all the things she already knew. Mileena was about to ask if he was quite done with his pointless monologue when his spoken words drifted to her ears. 'What did he just say? Is he announcing a threat over me?' Mileena turned her face in the dark then to look at him, though all she could see was the whites of his eyes. This was the second time someone she knew had ever stood up for her so boldly, She shook the thought to the back of her mind and returned to the matter at hand with even more confidence than she had before. She noticed however, that there was one error in Nero's insight, and had procrastinated on telling until after he had said his fill. "Umm... Actually. The guy on the left isn't necessarily unarmed. He has a few mini explosives, bombs if you will, buried somewhere in this graveyard. Not only does his mind keep returning to that fact, but his eyes, as little as I can see of them, keep shifting all over the place. I don't know where they are exactly since he doesn't know. This all leads me to assume that this is a usual spot for them. I say we put an end to it, don't you?"

"Mileena focused her chakra around her, managing to shroud herself in it and blend into the darkness perfectly, as if she were no more that a spectre in the night. Being the aspiring Assassin she was, she had been practising the art of stealth for some time, though she had never gotten the chance to use it in a situation such as this before. There was no trace of her anywhere, not even Nero would be able to find her, that is if she didn't want to be found. The link they had between them still allowed for him to hear her thoughts, and possibly even know her exact position. Mileena walked around to the other side of him, and was about to touch him and say 'boo', but then she caught movement in the corner of her eyes and noticed the man on the left, the one that was supposedly unarmed run off from the other two, checking gravestone after gravestone for a mark that he placed on one of them. This Mileena thought, was what he needed to find in order to gain access to his explosives. "I'll handle that one, you go ahead and take care of those two". Mileena ran off after the man, taking up residence in his unsuspecting mind and 'seeing' whatever he saw. She decided that she would wait for him to find the explosives, then make her move, just to be sure that she could report them and thwart any plans he may have had with them.

Mileena chased him with ever growing silence. The man was disturbed by the silence. It was a different silence, a moving silence, a hurried rush of air, the whisper of something getting close. He tried putting on an act of bravery as he stopped and searched stone after stone, but apparently they weren't the right ones, so he moved to the next. All the while Mileena followed, keeping a distance, but staying close enough so that should he find the explosives, she could have him down before he got the chance to use them. She noticed him touching the graves with those grubby hands of his, and wanted so desperately to send him flying for it, but there was no time for personal feelings right now. She kept up the silence.
"How are things going for you over there?" She asked Nero with some concern in her voice. She didn't bother looking back, she just kept going.
