“I’ll stop the whole world from turning into a monster and eating us alive…”

xxxxSynn's face smoothed over for several seconds when she heard a deep tenor chuckle echoing from within the confines of her own head, tensing as she registered that Raijuu had found something interesting. Synn had learned to tolerate his presence in her head, but it still irritated her when he picked up on things before she did. The girl, he replied to the frantic questioning thoughts that pervaded her mind as her eyes quickly flicked from the window to each face, resting on that of the black-haired girl, seeing that the other girl's green eyes were on her face. Synn laughed once as she realized that the girl was looking at her, her face marred by an expression of pure irritation as Synn so boldly introduced herself to the new Mizukage. In one fluid motion, the blonde kunoichi raised her eyebrows and smirked, the devilish grin playing around the corners of her lips as she observed the girl with an evil glimmer in her eyes.
xxxx"If you have something to say about me, please feel free to share." Raijuu chuckled as Synn addressed the girl in a voice that was as smooth as melted butter, an amused expression evident on her face. From what she was seeing, the girl was one of the many Kirigakure shinobi that was hesitant to trust the new kage, which explained her prolonged silence. Her curiosity to find out was an intense burning force that wasn't easily rid of as her own amethyst eyes pierced those of the other girl without wavering, not even blinking to break her stare. "Regardless of how you may feel or the slander that you have heard about shinobi of Sunagakure, he is our kage whether we like it or not. It is best to keep an open mind." Her words, though smooth and velveteen, were significantly cooler than they had been when she had addressed Deil. Her voice warmed noticeably as she spoke the last bit of her statement. Synn's shockingly violet eyes followed the girl's gaze as they moved about the room before she heard the Lord Mizukage speak once more.
xxxxShe barely caught the silent nod that he gave her out of her peripheral vision, but the motion of it caught her eye and caused her to turn her head, attention focused on him. His words caught her attention, particularly the ones stating that she was a host, how he called her a host and not addressed her specifically by the Bijuu that she shared a body with. She watched silently as he turned away from her and walked to his desk, opening a drawer and withdrawing a small scroll. Raijuu, what is going on? What is that scroll? What is he trying to do? Her thoughts were cold and deadpanned towards the demon as the Mizukage opened the scroll slightly and nodded, addressing her once more. She listened absentmindedly to his words as Raijuu was silent for several seconds, that time seeming to stretch into years as she hesitated, curling her gloved hand into a fist before releasing it once more. It took several seconds before the Rokubi responded, sighing with frustration, the noise sounding like a growl in Synn's head. I don't know. Synn froze, every muscle tensed as she let the weasel's words sink in, violet eyes narrowing slightly.
xxxxShe took two slow, carefully measured steps forward, her weight shifting as she guided her body forward, swallowing her suspicion and her fear. Her left hand reached towards the Mizukage where she paused, palm-up, and waited for him to pass the scroll to her. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she sure wasn't going to take chances. Her hand carefully reached for the scroll he held in his own and, fingers grasping it tightly, she pulled it back towards the core of her body. Her hands made quick work of unrolling the scroll. Her gracefully arched blonde eyebrows pulled together in confusion as she unrolled the scroll, letting her eyes flick over the expanse before resting on the Mizukage's face, eyes full of silent questions.

The Kunoichi's shocked expression could have practically screamed the fact that she had no idea what to expect. That was to be expected, given the fact that he was an obviously taijutsu-oriented foreign shinobi in close quarters, but the fact that her eyes were paying so much attention to the scroll meant it was likely this would work, especially considering the fact he had a couple ranks and a lot of training between the two of them. Her lack of experience would, in the end, likely result in her being unable to react sufficiently to Deil's trap. Once she opened the the scroll enough to block his arm from view (which happened about halfway through opening the scroll, since a fully open scroll of that width would easily conceal the side of the body he was about to use), his hand exploded through the back of the scroll and made a grab for her throat. He had no intention of choking her: the grab would only serve as a way to keep her still and as a show of power. However, the move was still made at his full speed just to make sure he got her on the first try.

Anri stood outside the tower, looking up as his cigarrette tried to sputter to death from the mist. He shook his head and walked inside, actually surprised that the mist was barely inside the building. That still surprised him no matter how many times he entered and exited the buildings of Kirigakure. Anri shook his head, inhaling the last bits of his cig, and taking it in his palm and crushing it quickly, releasing just as fast, at chunnin speeds to avoid burning his palm. His cig was completely out, and crushed as if he had stepped on it. he sighed and slipped it into the nearest trash can, looking for the stairs.

After a couple of floors anri finally reached the floor of the Mizukage's Office. Anri stood at the end of the waiting room awaiting his turn to enter, seeing as some people were already in there. He sighed and just stood there leaning against the wall. He took out another cigarette and took out his lighter, lighting it and taking a puff off of it. He let out a slow rolling sigh, which held smoke the entire time. The odd thing was, he blew a smoke ring, but since he had continued to exhale, it had come out as a smoke pipe, being a long smoke ring. He sighed again, as he finished this cigarette as well, fishing out his empty pack and sighing as he licked his fingertips and squeezed the tip quickly putting it out, and disposing of it and his empty pack in the nearest trashcan outside of the office.

xxxxSynn's eyelashes cast shadows on her silky cheeks as she allowed her amethyst eyes to travel over the nonexistent characters on the scroll, questions forming like static in her head. It was only when her violet hues returned to the Mizukage's face that things got out of control. It was as if time was moving frame-by-frame as the Mizukage's hand suddenly burst through the scroll, causing every muscle in Synn's body to seize immediately, her eyes riveted to his face. Her jaw shut with an audible snapping noise as her eyes narrowed, her pupils contracting slightly as her dark amethyst eyes widened to take in the spectacle before her.
xxxxIt took several seconds for her brain to catch up with the rest of her body and the realization struck her with the force of a speeding train. The Mizukage's hand tore through the scroll and wrapped solidly around her throat, pressing against her trachea and hindering her oxygen supply. The pressure on her throat caused her to choke back the retching instinct that built up in her throat, the sound coming out as a gag. Her eyes locked onto his as she glared daggers at him, Raijuu erupting into feral snarls in her head.
xxxx"What the hell?!" The first words that were hissed through Synn's teeth came out as more of a growl than anything else as she froze. "What is the meaning of this?"

Deil Grist
Mizukage in Title|Special Jounin|Taijutsu Class|Genjuu Kinzoku Bloodline

Deil saw the intimidating look in Synn's eyes, but remained unaffected by it. His will was too strong and his love too great to be scared in this moment. "Do you think that snarl is supposed to intimidate me, little jinchuuriki? Well it doesn't, and let me tell you why:" He moved in closer so that there would be absolutely no mistake that this moment would be one she would remember forever, and his grey eyes grew sharp with the clarity of his thoughts. His was contorted into a sneer of anger and disgust. "I'm not here because it's something I want to do. I would much rather be back home with the one I love, enjoying life and growing old together. But instead, some hosts like yourself decided that they were too powerful to be taken down, and flaunted their powers in front of the whole world. Then they were captured, and their bijuu released to wipe us all out. Our enemy would have succeeded if many people hadn't died to protect their villages, and villages like yours were left too weak and disorganized to do anything productive. So I was forced to leave her behind and come to this place where EVERYONE distrusts me to build this place back up instead of being with her when she needs me most."

The fiery anger in his voice left, as did his clearly fierce expression, and they were replaced by cold anger and a serious stare with his eyebrows furrowed and his lips pulled in tight against his teeth.
"And here you are, making the same mistake as the ones before you by proudly announcing, without even being asked, that you are a host. You're lucky I'm not some Akatsuki f*cker here to hunt bijuu, otherwise you would have just handed yourself over to him." He let go of her throat, but kept his eyes locked with hers. Amazingly, through all that, he had kept his hand from tightening and crushing the life out of Synn, and his mouth relaxed some while his words became more warm and heartfelt. "I don't care if you choose to not like me now, if ever, but all I ask is that you don't tell anyone else that you're a host. You are to hide that fact as best you can. Let this be your first lesson, my student: protect your identity at all times, because not doing so will risk the lives of yourself and everyone who's fighting to make this world a better place." He paused for a second, considering the fact that seemed like his nindo had destined him to be here at this moment to pass it to someone who was obviously in need of it. He took a step back and clasped his hands behind his back. The scroll slid off his arm as he did so. "Don't get so caught up in the battle that you forget what you're fighting for." He then waited to see if her, or anyone else in the room for that matter, had anything to say after all that. That had to be, by far, the longest speech he had ever made. Not his most powerful though; that had been to Misuki on the day before their coronation ceremony. I wonder what she would say to me now? I probably wouldn't have said all those things had she been here, but then again I know they're true. Perhaps it's for the best I came here after all if I can prevent another host from walking down the wrong path, as many others before her have.

Kiyoko Mayu

Kiyoko gritted her teeth trying not to lose her temper with the girl. She was so annoying with how arrogant she was. "Be more open minded" Right that's exactly why she was so annoyed, because kage or not he needed to earn their trust. Trust wasn't something you give away. She was going to say something to her, but held it back to let things unfold. Gazing at the girl trying to keep a smirk off of her face. She wasn't being mean just...spiteful.

Kiyoko watched as things unfolded rather quickly. Even though she had a pretty good idea of what was going on it still surprised her a bit. She was happy that the demon within the girl didn't kick in and try to attack him. That would have been bad. At least the girl had that much sense. She watched as things unfolded, and was comforted more than anything. She didn't blame him for trying to teach her a lesson. Even though he had blocked her out, based on what she did know he wasn't lying.

At least she didn't think he was.She didn't sense anything off about him. This helped her to trust him a little bit more. Although she didn't trust him completely she was getting there. She just needed to make sure she was careful. If this was a trick she had no doubt he could hide it from her if he wanted to. He had blocked her out after all. Then again who would want anyone int heir head? She sighed shaking her head, she needed to focus and try not to think so much right now.

At least she knew their kage had strength, mental and physical, whatever the reasons. Now she needed to decide whether she wanted to talk mentally to the girl or not. Not yet. She stepped forward and picked up the ripped scroll. She walked over to the the desk and picked up a pin. She began writing. She walked up to the girl and held up the scroll to her. it read

That's what I wanted to tell you, you need to be more careful with the information you give out. "Be more open minded" I'm not trying to be mean, just helpfull she quoted her from earlier. She gazed at her steadily with a soft smile not afraid of her or the demon she had. She waited to see what her response would be, glancing back at Deil. [

As this event unfolded before him, Matsuya rested his right hand on the hilt of his katana. He wouldn't hesitate to draw it, even if the man was three times as strong as him. Even so, this proved a valuable research opportunity. Deil, a Suna shinobi, exposing his strength and anger before Kirigakure genin. To most, this would simply seem a show of power. But to Matsuya, and perhaps a few others, it was a show of weakness aswell. To show that this angered you to the point of putting a weaker female in a death-grip, that was the flaw. "Mizukage-sama, while I don't argue with you that the bijuu are terrible, destructive creatures, I don't think their hosts should be punished so. Even if they act like she has." Matsuya glanced at Synn. "No offense." Matsuya then returned his face to Deil, the same small grin split across it. "Deep down, no one likes what lies inside of them. I know I don't, not all the time anyway. And while some people may disagree with me," At this he glanced back to Synn, "powers and strength need to be used for the best of the village. Not for someone's own selfish goals or simply to achieve more power." Matsuya nodded as he finished this little speech. It probably wouldn't have half of the effect Deil's did but it didn't really matter. Matsuya had grown so accustomed to speaking to the dead that doing so with the living now was a treat. He ruffled his nose as the stale scent of cigarette smoke reached it. Matsuya felt the presence as soon as it got within a hundred feet of him, but he'd just now acknowledged it. "And if it interests you, there's someone else outside the office. But you probably already knew that."

Hearing a slightly different tone of voice used, Anri walked to the doorway slowly to see what was going on. Hearing the rest of the comments Anri stopped and leaned against the wall of the doorway. " Jinjuriiki... " he muttered. He had heard something about that, something a long time ago. Was it from the guy who saved him? Who knows, and who cared? anri just shook his head and decided to watch. It was obvious that she wasn't being choked, just a hand was on her throat. But Anri still didn't know what had happened prior, and so he wouldn't act. She wasn't on his team, and he wasn't entirely sure who she was. He had only been living here for a couple of years, so he still didn't know everyone.

At the mention of someoneelse outside the office, Anri stepped back sixteen feet from the doorway exactly and activated his stealth mode, smiling to himself. It would seem to everyone his rank that he wasn't there, and that they lost track of him, to someone of higher rank, they could still easily see him. Anri didn't like that fact, but he had resolved to become stronger so that he could always be unnoticable. Maybe if he had been unnoticable his brother's arms would have been okay. Maybe if his father hadn't killed all of Anri's older siblings besides his brother, they would have been okay. Anri shook his head and sighed, dismissing those thoughts.

Deil turned his head toward Matsuya with a little smile, and asked him a serious question. "Matsuya, if you really think my goal was to punish her, then why do you think she is unharmed?" He motioned his right hand palm-up toward her neck. Her neck was a little pink from the warmth of his hand, but there were no friction burns there nor signs of bruising. "Her gags were a reflex."

Matsuya opened his mouth to answer the Mizukage and then closed it again. He thought his words through in his head. The first thing that came to mind was: because leaving her alive with that thing inside of her is more punishment than letting it out of her. But Matsuya held that one inside his head. That idea didn't need to come out, not now. Matsuya finally spoke again, "Well, seeing as she is unharmed, that leads me to see now that you didn't mean to punish her severely. There are other reasons I can see, but they needn't be said now, I think." Matsuya bowed and kept his head down for the next few words. "I'm sorry for my misunderstanding, Mizukage-sama. I simply jumped to conclusions." After he spoke, Matsuya raised his head and looked at Deil, hoping to still see the smile on his face.

Kiyoko stepped back away from Synn back to where she was standing before. She had nothing else to say to the girl, and for a while she simply listen to the conversation going on. She had no comments until Matsuyas thoughts interrupted her own. She looked at him, and didn't want to have to keep writing things and look weird, so she finally spoke mentally to him.

Don't be alarmed, I don't know if you know about this or not, but my name is Kiyoko, the silent girl"this is how I speak. she smiled at him. "I think you're wrong. She seems to have no problem with the demon inside of her. She could use it to do some great things for our village." Kiyoko explained to him. But I understand what you're saying.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 03, 2011 3:06 pm

Matsuya's face froze as he started hearing voices in his head. As he started to piece it together and Kiyoko explained it, his face gradually went back to its normal small grin. So she spoke through the minds of others, interesting. Here it went, he felt crazy doing this. Then again, he'd done stranger things before. I've been wondering about that, your silence that is. My name is Matsuya Komihachi, by the way. I'm not even sure if you hear this right now, but I figured its worth a shot. I don't agree with almost anything Synn has done thusfar. I just think that having that demon inside of her is a punishment in itself. People will always look at her differently for it, even if she does great things for Kirigakure. That's something I know about all too well, being looked at differently. Throughout this, Matsuya had been trying to keep his eyes on Deil. He'd been giving Kiyoko glances every now and then, however, trying to figure out if she could actually hear him. If she couldn't, he would feel all the more crazy.

“I’ll stop the whole world from turning into a monster and eating us alive…”

xxxxWhen the blonde laughed, the sound wasn‘t the usual bell-tone that it always had been. Her laugh seemed to come straight from the grave, cold, dead, and distant as a decomposing corpse. Her amethyst eyes were fierce, anger sparking the release of adrenaline and causing her to tremble as Raijuu began to send signals through her body to demand that Deil released her. Her muscles clenched and released in a lightning fast rhythm, causing the girl‘s body to shake. The look on her face was stoic and blank as she stared the Mizukage dead in the eye, her gaze not wavering even a bit. The adrenaline pumping like liquid lightning through her veins narrowed her optic field until her peripheral vision was almost black.
xxxx“I didn’t force you to come here. I am an entirely different being than the other Jinchuuriki, different from anyone in this village, different from the beast that shares my body.” Synn stared into his cold gray eyes, reading the hatred that she saw reflected back at her. Synn’s life hadn’t been a walk in the park, much like other shinobi. The attack of the Bijuu had changed her whole family forever, and changed Synn’s heart from that of a normal girl to the ice-encased mess that it was. “I wasn’t asked because of the mindset of this world. Because of past events, everyone tries to keep the existence of the Jinchuuriki out of sight and out of mind, so they don’t have to think about the pain. But no one ever spares a thought for the pain that we live with. We, the different. We, the outcasts. We, the Jinchuuriki. We have become hated by our comrades in arms, hated by the people that we as shinobi strive to protect. Do you think anyone in this village would ever have the balls to be told after years of growing together as a family? Well trust me. I know better.”
xxxx“I’m not going into battle risking my neck for people who would turn their backs on me at the drop of a hat. I’ve done that once before and it almost killed everyone that was there. The sooner my peers know, the sooner they can get over it and learn to use what strengths Raijuu lends me. It’s like ripping off a bandage. It stings, it hurts, and then its over and you can get over it. A clean sweep.” She gestured to the other three Genin in the room, the two boys and the girl with black hair as she spoke about comrades in arms. “A preemptive strike, so to speak.”
xxxx“You think that I enjoy having this abomination trapped inside of me? You have no idea what it has been like for me. You have no idea.” Her voice was soft and emotionless as she spoke directly to the Mizukage, her lips like pale ice. “I have the blood of endless shinobi on my hands, unable to repent until I die. I have the blood of my own family on my hands, my own sister, something I will never forgive myself for. As shinobi, we can never forgive, we can never forget. I can never. I can only live, my one comfort in being that this beast is trapped.” Synn listened intently as Matsuya spoke about how the burden was just that itself., making a note to thank him sometime.
xxxx“Your intention wasn‘t to punish me. It was a display of power to show me that you are still the one in charge and will be taking no bullshit from anyone, even someone with a monster inside of her.” The words left Synn‘s lips as a grim deadpan as she spoke, her face numb. “You, me, everyone in this room: we all know who is on top here. You. You could kill me. And you could probably do it and I would let you. Killing me wouldn‘t be punishment. It would be release from this hell that has become of me simply living in my own body. But you won‘t do that, because doing such would release the demon and cause more chaos and destruction. No. You will let me live unless I really do something worth dying for. You will let me live because everyone, even shinobi, must repent for his or her sins.”

( Anri is outside the room out of sight, and stealthed. You literally can't see him, or find him. )

Anri's nearly constant frown faded from his face, it what was basically a smirk for him. Monster? What do they know of monsters? Killing is killing, but being beaten by someone who you are supposed to love, or that just sit there, not even crying or trying to help while your brother's arms are broken and stepped upon... Those are the true monsters. The kind you can't get away from, the kind you have to live in constant fear of, the kind that the only release is murder... kill or be killed, those are the monsters. Anri thought, his teeth clenched, his body shivering, his hands bleeding slightly with how hard he was gripping his fists. So they have 'Demons' So does everyone else! Demons are nothing more than giant sources of chakra that destroy. They are weapons, and the Jinjuuriki are their weilders. How dare they write it off as something to be ashamed of! How dare they think their lives are so hard! Anri thought, unstealthing himself and walking slowly into the room, his face set back to sad or expressionless, but his hands still bleeding and shaking. Try being the sibling that survived, the one your brother basically gave his arms to protect... Death would have been better to deal with, but if they had survived then you'd have to live with that guilt! If they are dead you should be happy! they went to heaven, if you feel sad for them, then you obviously are selfish or think they went to hell! Anri thought, his arms starting to shake as well as his entire body.

( Yeah, i think went a little strong, but seriously, why do all hosts think that they are treated like vermin? Naruto gets treated as equal by the third, maybe second season. seriously, do none of them see the demon as a weapon for their usage? )

Kiyoko was trying to keep her attention on everyone while She listened to what Matsuya was saying. She understood what he meant. She didn't answer him untill after Synn had let out her own point of view on what had happened. This girl is strong She told matsuya looking over at him.She doesn't want to have to hide, and I do not blame her. I wouldn't want to be in the position she is in. She has very good reasoning for what she's doing. But good reasons or not she needs to realize some things are just better left alone until later. She can't entirely blame her past for the actions she takes now She trailed off thinking. In that way her and synn were alike though. Because was kiyoko not doing just the same thing? Avenging her parents deaths? Was she not blaming her past for the path she was taking now. She looked down at the floor now and trying to forget about the past for now. She needed to concentrate on what was going on right now.

She glanced at the door. Stealth or not she could detect the boy standing silently in the hallway. She wasn't sure what he wanted, or why he hadn't made himself known yet. It made her a bit paranoid but she didn't speak to him. She just made sure to keep in mind he was there. She looked to synn now. Was she supposed to say something to the girl? Was she not supposed to say something?
