Laughing freely now, Nimhglas smirked at her beetle remark. Very appropriate. He watched her gazelle impersonation admiringly, glad she had taken his comments as encouragement and not insult. Once she got into it, she was quite impressive, and he felt a surge of brotherhood welling up. No more loneliness for him!
"You must be all animals!" he yipped, and rolled over to get up, then crouched and hopped along like a frog, legs bent. He spotted an ant on the ground and flicked his tongue out at it, then spat when he managed to eat it by accident. Grimacing, he decided he didn't want to be a frog afterall, despite his coloring. So he took on the elephant instead, marching about with stomping paws, and bellowing melodically.
Glancing at Loko o Ka mischievously, he crouched and growled in a halfway decent approximation of a lion. "The great cat has spotted the prey!" he murmered, and slunk towards her. Hyena legs made for poor lion impersonations, but he didn't mind looking foolish. Suddenly he leapt at her, with a mighty "Rawr!" But he pulled up short and merely tapped her on her side with one paw. "Behold, the gazelle is slain. The cycle continues."

"All animals except for beetles and storks, it would seem." Loko o Ka couldn't control her laughter at this point, flopping onto her side and giggling incessantly as Nimhglas' frog impression went awry. This was certainly the strangest and most interesting hyena that she had ever met.
"Oh no!" Loko o Ka cried out dramatically as he 'killed' her, going limp for a moment, doing a poor job of feigning death, mostly because she could not stop laughing because when she tried, she ended up snorting loudly. "I guess I'm a warthog now." She laughed, standing up again and jutting out her lower jaw so that her fangs stuck out, intended to resemble tusks.
"Watch out, lion, this warthog is meaner than that gazelle." She pawed at the ground as if to charge at him and snorted again before her laughter became too much and she simply collapsed on the ground and rolled around as he had moments ago.
"It looks like I am the beetle now." She giggled, staring up at the sky as she tried to catch her breath in between bursts of laughter.

Nimghlas was amazed at how quickly and strongly this appealing female unwound, once she got going. He'd tried for the organized stability of social structure, and instead gotten boisterous spontanaety, and yet he didn't mind. It was strange, but this soothed his imbalanced mind more than mundanity would've. He waited for the urge to leave to kick in as it usually did, but it seemed to be stalling. He could do with a little more of this lady's company.
He cowered in fear from her warthog, ready to be chased by the ornery beast, but it was not to be as she collapsed. Ambling over to peer down at her, he let her catch her breath for awhile. Laughter was joy, but too much could make one winded.
He made a chirping sound with his teeth. "I am the meerkat," he announced, and glanced around nervously with rapt eyes, as if a terrified, constantly alert rodent. "Meerkats must hide underground in tunnels. Does the beetle know where some are? Maybe there is a grumpy Kafil there, who will show the green meerkat caves."

Loko o Ka's face lit up with realization as Nimhglas spoke of meerkats once again. Of course! It made perfect sense now why he would refer to the pack as meerkats, now that she thought about it. The tunnels and caves were rather like those of meerkats, though much larger.
"Yes of course, let me take you there." She got to her feet, still grinning but no longer laughing uncontrollably. She had nearly forgotten that she had intended to take him to the caves. They had gotten so distracted by their animal game.
"But only if the meerkat can keep up, for I am no beetle." She held her head high and stretched up onto her toes, "I am a cheetah now, you see." With that she flashed him a sly grin and bolted in the direction of the caves, her tail wagging excitedly behind her as they went.
