It had been several hours since Catlyn had been delivered to the infirmary and her massive blood-transfusion engaged. Her color was starting to return to her flesh as this last set of bags emptied, the four I.V. units posted around her bed all sporting a crimson-filled tube that connected to a vein in the nearest limb of her dirty body.

The commotions and passages of time were wasted on her. For all intents and purposes, it would have seemed as though she were in a coma.

As far from the truth as that was, Catlyn's body remained motionless except for the steady rise and fall of her chest that indicated her silent breathing.

Things were much more lively within the void of her near-death. Her pristine projection of herself was wandering through one of KB's memories, and judging by the architecture, this memory was several hundred years old.

In the midst of voices, Catlyn's ears heard something out of place. It was as though she were standing next to a waterfall, yet she was in the middle of a lantern-lit cobble-stone street, follwing KB's stride. To her surprise, his figure turned around and looked directly at her. Those piercing red eyes...

More accurately, KB had been looking at someone else that was following him, and Catlyn happened to be between them, but that didn't matter, because as she turned around in this memory, she found the source of the strange noise. A crimson cascade was pouring over the rooftops and into the street. Faster and faster this flood poured, and filled the streets as Catlyn watched in horror. A great wave of blood came thrashing itself down the street, splashing and rolling off the buildings as it hurtled towards her. She started to scream, but no one would hear her. The people walking the streets were consumed by the cascading crimson river. The wave was close, now, and as she turned to face KB, looking desparately for help, his lips conveniently split into a wide-toothed grin as he peered straight through Catlyn's eyes.

The crashing wave was upon her, and in its path of destruction, she stood. The crimson tide crashed down upon her, and just as she was to be swallowed by the bloody river, a drastic glare filled her eyes.

The heart monitors were beeping insanely fast as Catlyn sat bolt upright in her bed, wrenching the two I.V.'s attached to her arms and causing them to fall to the floor with a clamor. She peered around the room, wild-eyed, as paramedics started to rush her. She was disoriented, couldn't see well, and couldn't comprehend what had just happened to her. Cold-gloved hands reached for her, and the cold sweat that had formed on her brow and throughout her hair was flung in all directions as she thrashed against them, screaming incoherently.

On top of her panic, her fight-or-flight instinct was kicking in, and when you've been through as much s**t as she has, and there were people rushing and grabbing at you and you couldn't see properly or think straight, you wanted to run but had no choice but to fight.

And fight she did. Kicking, punching, screaming with tears derived from fear and panic streaming down her cheeks. One man caught her heel in his sternum, and a distinct cracking or popping sound would call out to everyone's ears.

All she wanted to do was go home... just to go home...

"May I be of assistance?"

A doctor from seemingly nowhere appeared to the head mage Sey's left. He was an eerie man, tall and dashing as most young physains were with his chestnut colored hair and eyes. Clothed in the proper set of scrubs for medical purposes, as well as a long lab coat befitting a experienced residential doctor; he was dressed for the job, and impeccably neat for being in somewhere as messy as a hospital. His most striking feature? Those round spectacles that barely hung off the bridge of his nose enough for him to have to constantly fidget with their position. They seemed to reflect light no matter how dimly lit an area making the rest of his features recede into the background.

"Seems you three have this handled, I'll see to your more flustered staff."

With a calm smile, he swiftly disseapered out of the room and toward the sound of the raging heart monitors. Swiftly ghosting in amidst the fray of flying limbs and disjointed orders, the good doctor reached forward toward the thrashing blood transfusion patient and pressed his icy fingers against her temple. Blood loss often caused euphoria, nausea and extreme hallucination. The moment the experienced physician placed his fingers against the woman's forehead a wave of cooling numbness would wash over her. The sensation would make her mind feel groggy and slow, but also keep her from ripping out the IV's that were in place to preserve her life.

"Chart."

A NPC would hand him the woman's clipboard, and though it wasn't clear what he was reading, the doctor would make a thoughtful gesture with his free hand before speaking.

"Catlyn, your in the infirmary. You've suffered massive blood loss as a result from a vampiric attack. How are you feeling?"

He gave her the same calm smile he'd flashed at Sey, clearly not at all flustered with the madness going on around him as the NPC's went about fixing the mess she had created with her flailing.

Catlyn panted quietly as she started to settle down a bit, but it wasn't for the reason the doctor was assuming. His touch didn't hold any sort of magical I-make-you-feel-better-now quality, at least not for her. It did, however, give her something to focus on as her vision started to come back.

His words seeped into her ears as she started to confirm what he was saying by comparing it to her own observations. She looked up at him, still with her eyes wide. She couldn't see the details of his face. They were hidden behind those eerie glasses.

Catlyn's spiritual experience was still fresh in her mind, and the mention of the vampire brought her memories flooding into her vision. What happened could probably be attributed to the halucinations she might have due to the blood loss, but it was also part of her defensive instincts.

As she peered up at the featureless doctor, who grinned and hid behind his spectacles and had his cool grip on her head, his face was replaced with that of the grinning KB. The calm and cool grin was then detailed to show the vampire's many sharp teeth, and the reflective glasses took on the appearance of KB's own spectacles. Essentially, to Catlyn's mind, the man touching her appeared not as a doctor, but as the vampire who had nearly killed her coming back to finish the job.

The heart monitors erupted again as Catlyn pushed herself up against his hand, and threw a hard straight right punch into the center of his face. She packed quite a whallop for a human girl, and the punch would most likely break his glasses, if not his nose.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed as she punched at him, and whether she hit him or not, she jumped off the bed and tried to run. The other paramedics were still there to try and stop her, though they might have been distracted with the man who had caught her boot in his solarplexus.

The good doctor was not defenceless, as she aimed to sock him in the face with a right hook the clipboard clattered to the floor as he shifted his weight to the side the punch glancing over his shoulder rather than coming in contact with his face. Snatching her wrist the arm that had been attempting to calm her now had it's thumb pressing hard into her collar bone forcing her upper torso back down onto the bed. The eerie doctor seemed to have a grip as strong as iron and twice as steadfast as her flailing hardly caused him to weaver as she struggled against him.

"Strap her down before she hurts herself further."

The needles feeding life giving blood into her veins where more than likely causing havoc as she refused to settle. At the risk of causing more harm than good, it was all he could do but hold her down till she was restrained.

The few that could assist where quickly at the Doctor's side grabbing at her legs and free arm as they strapped her into the leather bindings attached to the sides of the bed.

Joseph attempted to sit up, sending curses to high hell about the pain before coughing up blood.
Noting Sey, before he was gently forced back down by two attendants, he felt a strangely familiar calm about her, almost like he had felt her somewhere else.
“Are you an agent of the Shobijin?” he asked, attempting to fight against the magic infused morphine given to him to stop his struggles during the healing process.

"No," The white mage said deftly, her hands laying over his fractured ribs with a tenderness that was signature of those of her vocation as the word brought a small smile to her lips. While she was small and what some may call a beauty, she was simply Seyumi Kaikou, a Gaian woman with a dream of healing the world.

"I'm a White Mage of Falis, here to help heal you." While the priestess reassured him tenderly the other two healers finished hooking up Joseph to the mixture of magical and modern equipment; pain killers, blood and an assortment of healing catalysts pumped into his system through the needles that were inserted and taped down onto the skin of his inside forearm.

"Seems you three have this handled, I'll see to your more flustered staff."

She'd been engrossed with the situation at hand, only sparing enough time to give a small smile and quiet thank you to the doctor that had come to lend his assistance before turning back to the other healers.

"Increase the dosage. I'm rearranging the bones." Sey said softly to her helpful assistants, her silver gaze fixing onto Joseph with cool solemnity.

"This will hurt momentarily, Sir. I need you to keep breathing and do your best to stay calm and still."

And with that as warning Sey took her bare hands and wrapped them around the points of bone that stuck out of his skin, manipulating them with a harsh CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRACK-ing noise and a strong grip that one would not expect from her lithe forearms, her tiny palms aligning the bones together before pressing them down one by one back into a rough approximation of where they should be and repeating the movement rib by broken rib until the pieces of his body were in enough alignment to please her.

The process was sure to hurt, though not as much due to the strong cocktail of painkillers Joseph was receiving, numbing him to most of the pain though not enough to stop the probable shock of seeing a petite woman manhandle your ribs like she was setting a xylophone, ripping the bones out of his punctured lungs and setting them straight with the quickness of morbid experience.

"I'm setting them now." At that, the other two healers took the cleric's lead, hands splaying over their patient's chest as Sey pressed down and forced the pieces of his bones to mend together, her hands glowing as she coaxed a stream of divine power into his body through her arms with her mouth moving fast in whispered prayer.

"O Eldest Dragon, Guardian of life's divine spark – guide my hands so that I may lead your son back from the brink."

Her shoulders trembled at the strain of being a divine conduit but she pressed her lips into a flat line and stayed focused, releasing ample energy for the other healers to use to mend the man's broken body before she took a step back and sighed – just as another outcry of struggling healers reached her ears.

"What?" Sey exclaimed in tired surprise, turning to the crowd of healers swarming the struggling woman and hearing her high heeled feet click rapidly underneath the finespun wisps of her gown. She started to move toward the fray subconsciously, slinging reassurances over her shoulder to the healers still working on Joseph as she hurried toward the newly awakened patient.

It was a rather strange sight to see, a woman clad in a sleeveless blue evening gown squeezing her way between the healers to stare in exasperation at the woman throwing punches at the doctor who'd been kind enough to offer help earlier.

"Do you need assistance?" She said slowly, not wanting to get in the way if the good doctor found that he'd be able to subdue her on his own.

"GOD DAMNIT LET ME GO!!!"

She kicked and flailed and screamed as she as forcibly restrained. The doctor's quick thinking had saved him a ******** up face, and his pressure on her body used to make her submit was something excrutiating to her because she'd never been grappled in such a manner.

Catlyn's heart was pounding, and it kept pounding as she was restrained fully. The tears that had been upon her cheeks before were nowhere to be found.

Her eyes were instead filled with rage and hatred for the KB-looking-doctor. She glared up at him as the rest of her body was stilled.

She muttered something under her breath, then followed it with an ********. You. Ptu!" And she spat in his face.

It was quite a feat for the girl, and probably unexpected as well as improper. Then again, she was far from a proper lady.

For a second his smile seemed to crack as the well aimed portion of saliva was shot directly at his face hitting those impeccably polished glasses of his. His grip would worsen for mere second as he forced her hand down onto the bed and into the bindings. Once she was properly restrained, he removed his glasses and pulled out a small cloth to clean them immediatly, it was more out of a OCD complex than the need to see properly but an innocent gesture in light of what had just occurred.

"I've got it handled, victims of the undead regularly have violent trauma afterward if the connection with the vampire was a strong one. More than likely she's relieving her experience with her attacker."

Once those gleaming specials where removed it was clear that the physician was a young warm faced man. His brown sugar colored eyes made him seem far more friendly with out those sinister frames obscuring them.

Looking back to the thrashing woman, he cleared his throat.

"Catlyn, My name is Dr. Jhon Glen of Amigone hospital. I'm here to assist the healers here due to the lack of staff. I'll ask again, how are you feeling?"

After replacing his glasses, he procured a pair of white surgical gloves from his pocket, to which he began pulling over his hands.

Catlyn was exasparrated. Her chest heaved with all the effort she'd been exerting to try and escape. But, to her relief, the vision of the vampire she'd been struggling against was washed away as a glowing aura crept into her vision.

At the center of this aura was a dark-haired woman with soft, caring eyes.

An angel?

Catlyn blinked in disbelief, and looked up at the doctor she had been fighting. Inwardly, a painful realization siezed her heart as she realized what had been happening. Outwardly, in an attempt to hide her weakness, she turned her face away.

"I almost died. I just tried to break your nose, and I kicked all their asses," she was referencing the paramedics, "I've got needles stuck in me god-only-knows-where, and my head is killing me. How the hell do you think I feel?"

She glanced back, to look at the angelic presence, again. The girl was beautiful. Not necessarily in a sexual way. She was just, pretty, regardless of the blood spatter on her cheek. Catlyn felt bad for being so rude in her presence, but she wouldn't let that show.

Perhaps Sey would catch the look Catlyn cast to her. Maybe she would understand.

Joseph didn’t flinch the entire time, his mind fixated on the petite woman. For a few moments he could have sworn he saw the wings of Mosura behind her. His body took to the magic quickly, the Organizer G-1 in his body working with it to heal the teen.
“I don’t get it, how can you not be aligned with Mosura and heal so well….” Joseph called as Sey walked away.

She had no idea of dosage or where to p***k this pincushion. The girl promptly growled into her palm as she massaged her temples. Trying her best to be incredibly gentle, without moving him at all (good god, who was beating on the cat?), she felt carefully along his front leg for a vein.

Fortunatly for the both of them, this didn't wake up the most likely feral cat. Considering that he wasn't providing and resistance, it shouldn't be too hard for the nurse to find a vein somewhere on the cat.

Indeed, she didn't have too much of a hard time finding a vein. With a quick tap on the syringe, she slid the needle under the cat's fur and skin and emptied about half of the sedative into his blood stream with steady hands. Light brown eyes watched her ward carefully as she removed the syringe and carefully placed it on top of her first aid kit, so it would be handy if he proved sturdier than she thought and pushed through the drugs. With swift movements she grabbed the painkillers and administered a small dosage as well.

Her head perked up as what appeared to be a head doctor started to take care of the maul victim, joined by a senior healer. Both of them threatened to distract her, but thankfully Lana had chosen to devote her attention to her first patient. She would have time to admire these professionals with starry eyes later. Lucky for her, Sey's help with the woman freed up one of the healer's to help with the cat. The NP-Nurse joined Lana at the side of the gurney.

'I'll need your help with broken bones. I could set them, but can't heal them,' Lana piped up matter-of-factly. The healer nodded to her surprise, apparently not questioning why a teen without basic magic was in charge of this competitor. Instead the two set to carefully setting the small bones in place. Lana's slender hands carefully pressed and held each individual ribs, not wincing at the wretched noises they made. Nothing like the noises behind her as they were on a smaller scale. A soft glow surrounded the healer's hands as she quickly repaired them.

In all, a younger mimicry of the scene behind the girl's back with Joseph.

As the healer murmured spells while holding the cat's jaw, Lana rifled through her kit and pulled out the sewing kit. If there was one thing the young girl excelled at, it was her unnatural talent for surgery. The thread shimmered in the light, imbued magic flickering softly; the matron wisely prepared it before hand, so Lana's talent with the needle wouldn't be counter-acted by any healer's sloppy follow-up.

Knowing the small dosage of drugs wouldn't last them long, she swiftly set to piercing the cat's flesh and pulling the stab wound together. For a young girl, she had an expert's steady hands and quick precision.

Ribs, jaw, teeth and stab wound complete.

"It's alright," Sey said softly looking at Catlyn in reassurance and hoping that her voice was helping the good doctor instead of distracting as she spoke from the edge of the crowd.

"Every occupation has it's hazards. At least here we're surrounded by healers." She was sure that the other occupants of the room shared her sentiments; it was a hard thing, to follow their vocation and not get injured somehow while doing so. Though one thing was for sure, it was harder for Sey to not.

"While the pain is there, remember it and know that you're alive. And the moment you're free of it you'll feel absolutely wonderful." Her gaze moved to the assortment of fluids being pumped into her intravenously, frowning as she took in the words that the doctor had said earlier.

"A Vampire?" She said slowly, guilt and fear knotting her stomach. She was afraid of the answer the woman would give her, afraid that she'd name the hell spawn she'd danced with earlier that night, her hands guiding KB through the steps of a waltz instead of purifying him with her divine light.

Sey was afraid because had she done her duty, the woman on the bed before her might not have had such a close call with death.

"... Do you know whom?"

"Deities go by different names in different regions. Perhaps your Mosura takes the face of Falis where she comes from?" The lone healer left to Joseph offered, her hands gently inspecting his wounds, prodding the tender tissues and newly set bones.

"Your wounds are set, however I strongly recommend that you remain here until you've been cleared by another healer. I also think that you should lay off the fighting for a few days, to make sure everything knits properly. I'd hate for you to come back to us and need to have your bones broken and reset again." She said her assessment with clinical efficiency, taking the chart at the end of his bed and scribbling several deft notes that summarized what she'd just said.

"Did you want us to notify anyone of your injuries? We can send messages both magically and electronically for your convenience."

Catlyn had turned away from Sey's attempts at reassuring her. The words didn't fall on deaf ears, though, and when Sey asked her question, it took Catlyn a moment to answer.

"Well..." to say she didn't know his name was true. Even though they had been so close, and so intimately embedded in one another's memories for such a period of time, his name had always eluded her.

The thought of KB grinning at her before the bloody cascade consumed her flashed through her mind.

To say she didn't know him would be a lie.

"I never learned his name, but he's tall, with a mouth full of sharp teeth. He was wearing some fancy clothes, glasses, blonde hair..." she thought it would probably be best not to mention how he had destroyed the hallway, "... and he dances like a total doofus." She hadn't been conscious when they danced. In fact, during the entirety of KB's waltz with her limp body, she had either been in shock, unconscious, or on the brink of death. She could tell how bad a dancer he was by how sore her toes were, even through her boots.

It meant he must have stepped on her toes, a lot.

Joseph took the torn remnants of his coat off, wincing a bit but feeling better, the Organizer G-1 continuing to heal his body.
“Maybe. No I’m fine I’ve been through worse, fought Dzan before coming here.”
Exiting the building one of the healers gave him a coat, a simple affair that was soft to the touch.
“This should replace what you lost.”
“Thanks”
