"Because I don't trust -anyone-, is that sufficient reason for my 'odd looks'?" He asked tilting his chin up slightly in indignation. The indigo hair in its odd little twist sliding back to reveal more of his face and an arched eyebrow that would have done Spock proud.
"And what have you been doing that you want to get away from hmm?" He ignored the sadness in her face with little effort, there was no reason for him to truly trust her yet, not the way he did Dem and his cousin. Certanly not the way he trusted his captain. "Surely if you have some issue with your keeper, you should be going to their Captain."

"Charming..." Of course the first time she stops to talk and it has to be someone who has no trust for others. At least now she got a good look at his face as the hair slid back.
"As an agent of the negaverse? Nothing wrong. It's just not the place I would have first chosen to live. It's musty and messy full of books wall to wall his 'treasure' it's lonely to live in a place like that." She paused at his suggestion shrugging, "What? And complain I don't like his books and think he needs to clean up? Why don't we tell our Queen we would like weekly wages for starseed gathering."

"I said -captian- not 'queen'" He said with a slight roll of his eyes. Good lord...did no one listen? "If you do not like your handler and you are unwilling to COMMUNICATE with her handler or captain for whatever reason, however repetitive the behavior IS in humanity as a whole... its rendering you less effective in the long run because you mind may drift from your work. At least...that would be my opinion on the mater."
He pinched his nose fighting frustration. After all he himself tended to want to avoid such conflicts but found it exacerbating in others. "I... am heading this way." He said pointing in the general direction where he intended to get dinner since he'd been so suddenly pulled away from the use of the microwave and what he had been preparing, though questionable in its color and content was no doubt already consumed by someone else. Lucky charms were a strange sort of precious commodity in the dorms that, given the right time of day and cliental, you could barter for the most interesting things. Magically delicious indeed, and someone had just scored his last 'single' box of it even after as long as he had kept it tucked away in the bottom most drawer of his desk to ensure that Demy would not add it to his day's sugar consumption.

"I meant that as a joke..." she said half under her breath. Jokes, either he didn't get them, or she was just horrible with making them. "Regarding my work I've been doing just fine, my work is one of the few things getting me out of that apartment. I do just fine for myself thank you however your suggestion and opinion are... noted." He was right, it COULD become a problem, especially if he didn't learn how to cook. That could be a problem for both of them in the long run.
Slowly she followed the finger raising an eyebrow in turn, "Not very specific, but I suppose we can walk where ever you need to go while we talk?"

He made an irritated sound at the muttered comment on her part, half aggravated by himself for not seeing that it was a joke and at her for not making it more clear.
He took a deep breath of the long suffering kind, normally used by people in films whom are surrounded at all times by people that irritate them or whom are comic relief. "I suppose that yes, you may walk and talk while I go where I am going, however once we get there the polite thing will be to offer you to join me. So to save myself the headache... I am going to get dinner, will you be joining me."
Something to his tone said 'weather I want you to or not' as well though perhaps that was just his rather curt mannerisms, were they any more clipped he could have found a job docking ears and tails on pedigrees by words alone.

It was an odd little pause between them as the failed joke and suggestion lingered in the air, a few scuffs of her heels digging in the gravel and a long sigh from Zink would finally shatter the awkward silence. "Well, that is rather like a gentlemen for you to invite me." Once again a small smile flickering at the corner of her face, maybe this wasn't helpless after all and some kind of mutual friendship could be salvaged?
"I'd actually appreciate that, I'm afraid neither of us living together know how to cook and it's lead to more then one night of take out..." Was that? Yes a hint of a blush creeping into her cream colored cheeks. It wasn't her fault she had the natural talent to set fire to boiling water among other questionable situations.

He stared down as she scuffed and ground her heels into the pebbled tarmac with a small shiver that was normally reserved for nails on a chalk board. The sound wasn't truly awful but he associated it now with missed landings that lead to more than a little of his skin being left behind as he skidded to a badly plotted halt.
The wind picked up again and made his coat snap like a salute, bringing is attention back to her face and the blush that had started to appear there, he thought he was going to have heart failure in the moment that he worried she might have something as terrible as a 'crush' on him. Surely this was not the case though, it would be utterly unreasonable.
"I was planning chinese or Italian, do you favor steamed and sticky bread and left over rice, or would you prefer diced tomatoes and olive oil?" He asked glancing away quickly to try and reestablish his calm and poise and push blushes as far from his mind as he possibly could.

Hel herself couldn't remember her earlier mistakes. When she first was awakened she was just as much new to leaping building to building as any other awakened Senshi or negaverse. The difference now is she didn't remember any of it really, her muscles did and the act of leaping roof tops was second nature now to them but she never knew why.
The blush subdued as quick as it came, gone with the wind that snapped his coat, the same that carried her ashes lightly across his face once more. "Italian actually, we got Chinese the last two times we ordered takeout."

"Italian then" He nodded, this was going to cost a little, he had no intention of going to pizza hut when he wanted to get a real honest to god wood and brick oven pizza. Lord knows his allowance stretched further when there was no Demy to consume his body weight in tacos and energy drinks... though it was by far more lonely and quiet without him too.
At least there would be someone on the other side of the table, though he felt a sharp pang of guilt even as he crossed the roof heading for the fire escape.
"We'll not be going in uniform mind you..." he added as he glanced around for witnesses. "We can change below and walk, it would be entirely too suspicious to be seen in close proximity to the restaurant even with whatever keeps us from being recognized."
His boots made a metallic clang on the rusty fire escape and he winced, hoping that if anyone were inside they would assume the worst and simply stay away from the windows. More so he hoped that with the city being on such high alert that they would not appear at the window with a ready loaded shot gun ready to do their civc duty and defend whatever squalid apartment they had rented.

The blessing of her situation was a small allowance to start off with, she would need a job eventually but for now she was sitting pretty with the money that got her going to move in with Roh. "Lead the way then." She couldn't see the look on his face as he lamented his friend, perhaps it was better she didn't anyway, so she followed with out a word the crunch and click of heals on gravel with the thicker crush of boots leading the way.
"Perfectly, I doubt we would get good service anyway, what wit the whole 'crazy terrorist' look we both have. Or... well my gaping chest wound." It really did throw people for a loop at first glance.
Carefully she made her way down the ladder, it dawned on her face as she made her way down above the boy that all it would take is one glance up and she tried to put the idea aside. He might be a little off but he didn't seem to be the kind to do THAT.
Once they were safe and on the ground she made her own scan to see if anyone was about. "Shall we then?" With a smile it was no longer Sailor Hel, but Lorelei Armati standing before Zink, the only trace that she had been there was a slight hint of ashes around her feet. "For now, you can call me Lorelei." Once again the same curtsy from their earlier greeting.

He snapped his heels together in a slight mockery of gestapo style and bowed as he let his uniform change back into his civilian clothing. A simple black hooded sweatshirt with a zip front over an equally bland faded t-shirt that might have at one time been black as well. His jeans were slightly oversized through the leg resulting in a casual light punk look that looked at least slightly odd with his more generically 'emo' hair. Despite the large sizes of his clothing he looked clean and well pressed somehow, though not so much so as to have ironed his jeans.
"Zac" He said without proffering a last name either, she did not need to know it and he had no desire to share at this time. Sharing what they looked like as civilians was more than enough.

While Zi- Zac was all casual Lorelei was stuck with her normal Crystal uniform. She hadn't really put much time into getting herself a proper wardrobe with all the moving about lately. Still she kept her hair split into two braids none the less.
"Well then Zac, lead away. I personally couldn't think of a good Italian place around here this end of town."

"You need to know where to look." He said as he lead the way out of the alley way, putting his hands into his pockets against the cool of the evening and pausing to glance at her lighter clothing. Frustrating sometimes being the gentleman, you had to offer up your own comforts in the name of someone else's lack of forethought. Worse you then had to run the risk of being called a boor for trying to be polite by the occasional man or woman who assumed that outright hostility equated 'liberated mind'. This was not always true of course but it happened with sufficient frequency to make him cautious though he himself had not yet been the target.
There were few enough people out, those who were out were cautious and armed with mace and lord knows what else out of the sheer sense of fear that ran like a constant electric current though the city.
He lead her to a small but well lit window with a pizza hanging in the window. This one though ran no risk of shedding its tomato and cheese topping onto the window seat below, or any of its other toppings like the green peppers or pepperoni, because the whole of it was a quilt, cleverly stitched together by the same large and overbearing woman who ran the counter with the attitude that each and every one of her customers was in some way like her own children. Scolding them for not eating enough, or well enough and god forbid you mention 'Atkins' in front of her or she might very well pinch your ear and set you down with a basket of bread sticks and garlic infused olive oil. "Noni's" it was called, though to his knowledge there was no "Noni" in the place, if it meant something more he had never bothered to look it up, he was normally too lost in the savory delights that were brought out by flour stained hands and the puffs of wood smoke that sometimes filtered back through the restaurant and mingled with the sweet tang of beeswax candles in their red cups designed to promote 'atmosphere'.
He held the door for Hel and waited for her to enter, then picked a seat and held her chair as well, 'Mama' as she insisted he call her would not let it pass were to ignore this basic nicety while she was watching, he knew that every well from the few times he and his mother had eaten here together in moments of peace and civility.

"Very true," she replied following behind him from the ally, just another two figures in a city full of chaos. It wasn't fully forethought that left Hel like she was, being plucked out of your home while attempting to sort through a pile of Rohan's musty collection gave her little say in what she was waring before taking her place in the Negaverse chambers. Regardless of what Zac did or didn't do and offer she was glad for the company and it showed in a lighter step and that small smile at the corner of her lips.
Even if someone tried to interrupt them, in a city filled with paranoia they would be more then enough to handle the situation, though witnesses would become an issue.
When they arrived Lorelei's face cracked into a bigger smile, for all of Zac's earlier coldness he at least knew how to pick a good looking place to eat, it wasn't the Olive Garden, or Pizza Hut, no it was a real deal brick oven old fashion kind of joint. Shocking more he held the door? And her seat out?
"You're an odd one..." she whispered as she took her seat, "Being so nice now? You can't possibly trust me that much already?" Her voice was light as she whispered, obviously teasing him now. She had no clue the reason he was being so proper was due to the overbearing women who was eying them over like any other young couple that entered Noni's.

"Manners have nothing -what-so-ever- to do with trusting you." He said simply and then smiled up at the woman who brought them menus, the plastic so creased in places it was actually necessary to squint to read the menu, be set his aside and waited for you to pick what you wanted. It gave each item in curling font and provided a brief description of the dish. Some more appetizing than others particularly if you disliked sea food.
"I'm getting the rolls and dipping sauce, I plan to order some to take home as well before we leave, tell me if you want some as well their well made and re-heat easily." He said and then thanked the young man who brought out water with Lemon unasked and then scurried away at some shouted question from the kitchen, but not before a passing wink at Hel.
