I have a bootleg of Panaro, too. I mean, how can you not?
xD Of his last preformance, too.

Everyone should have a Panaro bootleg. 3nodding I don't know where mine is from in his run. It's labled 7-9-05.

Quote:
I love Hugh Panaro's mocking voice like when he says "Raise your hand at the level of you eyes!" He says it in such a mocking manner. < 3; xD

XD I forgot about that, yes. Snarky Erik. It's so nice when actors actually put a lot of little details into the characters. Michael Crawford does that too, the mocking voice at that line. And Brad Little does this high-pitched, snide impersonation of Raoul at 'This brave, young suitor'...

Quote:
I also loved, in my bootleg, he did this little wave thing, while in his chair to Raoul on the other side of the fence-thing( xD I can't spell it...) And he was like ">:3 -wavey- Har har." xDDD; It was so awesome.

The fence-thing is a portcullis. *snrk* Wavey... 'Hello... Hi! Why, yes I am in here all alone with your girlfriend. And where are you? That's right, you're all the way out theeere... twisted '

Quote:
xD Howard was funny, though. I was laughing with my friend for around ten minutes after he screamed.
The people in front of us actually got upset. XD;;;

Spoilsports. xd Who wouldn't laugh if the Phantom did a girly scream? Honestly... I had the same problem with seat-mates when I saw Gary Mauer. Everyone kept giving me death glares as I sunk to the floor, writhing in silent laughter throughout MOTN.

I've never actually heard him or seen him, though.

It's hard for me to see Broadway shows, since I'm the only real theater fanatic in my family. Whenever a show comes to my area, I nag my parents to get tickets, and they put it off until it's too late and they're all sold out. And since I'm only 16, there's no way my 'rents would let me go to NYC without an adult. Too dangerous, you know? I guess I could go to shows when they come to my area, since the city's only a ten minute car ride followed by a 20 minute train ride, then a short trip on the subway. But there's getting the tickets in the first place. I don't have a lot of money, or time for a job (busy with theater and dance). Then there's getting someone to go with me. With my luck, the friends who are interested are the friends who are too busy to go.

But someday I'll see it! And Rent. And Wicked (damn you, two year waiting list!).

Yeah, those are the two things I hate about touring shows... They only come around every few years, and when they do tickets are abysmally expensive. Getting tickets to Wicked was insane... They sold out in four days.
But one good thing is that it'll always come back, if you can wait that long. It'd be so great to live near NY.

Oh, you're missing something, then... He's one of the better tour Phantoms. He gives Erik quite a biting sense of humor, and a lot of UST. I can send you an mp3 of his MOTN, if you like.

Never seen it except a bootleg I have of Hugh Panaro in '03... God, who here doesn't have a boot of Hugh? rofl (We're not supposed to be talking about illegal material on Gaia, are we? sweatdrop )

I liked him a lot, different than I expected, but he's not my favorite Phantom in terms of voice. The sarcasm in the final lair was nice.

I actually liked Julie Hanson ninja Her voice was a bit shrill for my tastes but compared to the Christine in the other full-show boot I have (Melissa Dye), who is one of those Christines who has a tendency to just stand there and look pretty, I was pleased with her acting. I found she was a Christine I could sort of relate to in that respect *shrug*.

I'd kill to see Phantom live anywhere, whether it's Broadway or tour or...

Saw it at the West End. I would be really mad to go and catch a flight to see it. ^^ But I've promised myself to see it at Broadway if I go to USA.

Mauer is... baritone-y and yells a lot. But his acting is nice, especially the AIAOY Reprise.

(Sorry I'm being lazy with the Brad Little... I forgot to rip it last night when I had my CD drive hooked up. *getting to it*)

His MotN is pretty good too in places, his soar especially is stronger than a lot of Phantoms. His fansite had a webchat with him and his wife recently and I lurked, he's a nice guy, quirky sense of humor.

I know it's unsure whether he'll go to Jacksonville (Stop after MI) but I hadn't heard if it was certain he'll be tour Phantom in April... Anyone know? I may be seeing the show in Kalamazoo as well.
