Xyneus crawled through the smaller entrance into a decent sized hidey thicket. It was actually probably big enough for them plus a few others. On either side of the thicket were two great trees with high thick strong branches. Their leaves created a higher canopy over the air above the thicket. Light often slipped through breaks in the leaf canopy here and there. During the sun, it was bright and golden. During the moon, it was soft with dainty light.

As it was nearing the end of night and a few hours before the break of day, the thicket was dark and quiet. She crawled inside. She patted a spot near her for Fang to come lay.

"Come. My home is your home. Let's see if I can't help your restless spirit find some reprieve. I'm sure I can. You just have to be willing to let me do what it is that I do best."

Her eyes looked up and waited for him. All the walk back, she had her eyes on him. She felt a lot of darkness and conflict within him. She was going to help. He wouldn't be able to turn her away or ditch her very easily after this.
