"Well.. as long as you know that." Breakaway chuckles softly while she watches Kindness, and then turns her head away from him to stare out over toward the creek that runs through her spacious den. It's big enough for young foals to easily run around in without ever really having to leave the safety of the den-- and any time they may have to, there would be her and Kindness to watch over their safety. The thought makes a shiver run over her spine. Her and Kindness.
He never had to come back. He could have left her to herself and never bothered to come looking for her, or visit her, yet he'd never expressed any interest in leaving her. Breakaway closes her eyes as she thinks about this-- feeling the heat of him at her side like some kind of promise. But a promise of what? How long, she wonders, will it last? She's not used to feeling this for anyone-- none of the few does she'd had past relationships with, and none of the even fewer bucks. Not even the father of her last clutch-- all of whom were grown and living on their own, now.
She sighs, and turns a little to peer at the orange-yellow buck between her eyelashes, and finally asks the question that's been on her mind. She doesn't really want to, but she does, because she has to know: "So... just how long are you planning to stick around, anyway?"

Kindness faltered. He had been hoping that they could just enjoy their time together… instead of having this conversation. The answer to the question was of course that he wasn’t planning on leaving. He was going to stay with her until she made him leave. And she would make him leave. Eventually. Probably as soon as she found out what a pansy he was turning into.
He sighed quietly and looked at her with a smile. “I dunno. How long are going to up with me?” He joked.

She smiles a little, but there's a little bit of distance, if just barely, in her eyes. The only way to answer that question is to be completely honest-- but the thought of revealing her... feelings, is a little daunting. She's never felt the need to rely on anyone, and she knows that if Kindness leaves, she'll continue being able to take care of herself, but the thought of him leaving makes her feel lonely. It's not a feeling she's accustomed to, solitary creature that she is.
Breakaway sighs softly and turns her head to stare at one of the walls as she thinks. One of the sacs moves, just a little, inside her round belly, and she knows she doesn't want him to leave. She cannot say for sure, yet, whether or not it's love, but it's something. Really, she isn't sure she knows Kindness enough to call it love, not yet anyway but she knows she wants to one day be able to call it that for certain.
"I want you to stay.." she says softly, and it is, perhaps, the first time such a note of vulnerability has colored her voice.
Turning to him, she smiles a little, and bumps her soft, hornless head up under his chin and throat and rubs, affectionate and tired, and stays there, her weight pressed against him.

A lump formed in Kindness’ throat at her admission and he tried to swallow it as discreetly as possible with her head bumped up under his. This time it only took a moment for his mental functions to click back into gear and he rested his head comfortably over hers and they relaxed into a comfortable position. “Good.” He murmured, probably only just loud enough for her to hear. “Cause I’m not going anywhere.”
