Aww! When Rokopelli's eyes teared up, Mtima stepped closer, though she didn't really lose her smile. The other goddess wasn't angry or sad, she looked rather happy about it. And it wasn't a sad or terrible thing! It was a happy thing. She giggled when Roko spoke of Silos, the way she described him and just the tone of voice she used was sweet.

"Then they'd be his, too," she said brightly, "Babies don't just happen on their own." Babies needed both a mommy and a daddy, she was sure of that. Or she thought she was sure of it. Definitely to start.

She flustered a little and, despite being rather innocent when it came to such 'adult' things, seemed to sense what Mtima was indicating. Even still, the embarrassment didn't last for long and, suddenly the once pitiful adolescent now seemed somewhat...glowy?

Now that she realised she wasn't just sick, that she was holding this special, wonderful secret, her illness seemed to matter little to her. She just couldn't wait for Silos to get back so she could tell him what had happened!! He'd be as surprised as she was and she couldn't wait to see that look on his face.

"We bet Silos is going to be surprised!" And that was an understatement.

"So...can you tell anything else about the babies? Like...what they will look like? Or...whether they're boys or girls? Do they look like ussss?" She grinned, seeming to get really into the whole parent thing within moments. Rokopelli had always taken things into her stride...probably because she never thought of long term complications or realised what responsibility was...

...yet.

Now that Roko looked perfectly happy, Mtima relaxed a bit. She took a seat and giggled when Roko said Silos would be surprised, not doubting it herself if neither had picked up on it before. When she was barraged with questions, she could only blink as she tried to remember them all-- but it didn't matter much, she couldn't tell her anything about their physical selves, that just wasn't what she did.

"I can only see their souls, those are all physical traits," she said, but smiled anyway, "All I can really tell is that there are two of them and they will be good babies." Despite the confusing muddle that Rokopelli's soul seemed to be to the goddess, she knew all around there was goodness in her, which included for the babies.

She would have been bouncing around with joy if she hadn't had been so...cumbersome, but you could tell just by looking at her that she was having a happy little dance in her mind.

"Good babies!" She chirped, fluttering her wings somewhat rapidly. "There is so much to do! So much! We wonder how long we have left before they get here!" She spoke rapidly, partly to Mtima and partly to herself. "Going to have to find a den! Get food! Figure out nameses! Nameses for the little babies!"

Her eyes sparkled. "Rest. Eat. Be good. Should try to find Koya...maybe...we don't know." She shrugged a little, thinking of her adoptive mother whom had had her own children not too long ago. Rokopelli had not met them, but she'd been so caught up in mortal affairs that she'd only now just remembered that they'd probably be born now.

She blinked. "Has Mtima had babies?" The Goddess looked as young as she did (Rokopelli wasn't really aware of the Gods and the complicatedness of age) and yet, she knew all of this stuff.

She supposed it made sense, though, if she could see two souls alongside hers. What other explanation could there be? It must have been amazing to be able to see life before anyone else could.

Mtima was happy to sit quietly and watch as Rokopelli went through everything she would have to do, it was very exciting! And it was very sweet, it would be fun trying to do all of those things! Just like Rokopelli, she didn't think of any of the difficulties being a parent brought. She was surprised, though, when suddenly she was asked if she had babies-- though she wasn't so surprised when she thought about how much she had had to tell Roko.

"No," she said honestly, she couldn't remember the eight she had in her previous life and she certainly hadn't had any others, "But I ask a lot of questions, I think knowing how souls get be here is important for me to know." And that was, truthfully, how she had come to know so much. The idea of having babies.. with the knowledge that she could now.. well, it was interesting!

Rokopelli tipped her head thoughtfully. "We suppose it is." Her domain seemed somewhat...lacking in beauty compared with Soul's. Which reminded her, she hadn't even introduced herself yet, had she?

"Oops! We've been bad! We've not introduced ourselveses yet!" She lowered her head, pinning back her ears very briefly. Then, looking up again, her orange and purple eye full of shame, she continued. "We're Rokopelli of Confusion." And whilst she was at it, she might as well properly introduce Silos, too. "And Silos is God of Youth."

The mix should bring about some interesting results in the two unborn deities.

"Um, how long do you think it will take the babies to be...born?"

"Oh!" Mtima gasped when Roko realized she hadn't introduced herself, "That's OK, it's very nice to meet you, Rokopelli." She smiled at the introductions, pleased to know her name-- and her domain, which explained why things were a little less certain with this strange deity before her. She could have laughed but she kept quiet.

"Uhhh," she hummed thoughtfully when asked how long babies would take, "I don't know that, how long have you been feeling sick? It wouldn't take a super long time, right?"
PostPosted: Tue May 25, 2010 3:21 pm

Rokopelli's snout wrinkled with thought. How long had she been feeling sick? Well, for a cat who was usually healthy, it felt like a very long time indeed, but...was it really?

"Uh..."

It was clear that she actually wasn't quite sure and that Mtima wouldn't get anything better than a guesstimate. "Maybe...a few weeks..." She shrugged. "Silos might know, since we've been complaining a lot..." She trailed, but the grin soon returned as she thought again on the unborn children.

"We should have paid more attention." She chided herself. "But it's too late now! Guess they'll just be extra surprising!" She shifted. "But...but we don't know what to do...when the time comes and...well, Silos probably doesn't either. What if we do something wrong?"

Mtima really had no idea beyond that she didn't expect it to be a really long time before the babies were ready to come out. In fact, the whole conversation had shifted outside of her knowledge. She didn't know what you actually had to do, she'd never had any experience, only asked questions and gotten answers.

"I don't know," she confessed finally, "Maybe that's something you just have to experience, I don't know if the people I asked would be able to tell me. Maybe you'll just know, or have to figure it out." Unless she could find someone else who was already a mother.. but Mtima wouldn't know where to go for that.

She nodded slowly. She didn't really think she would just know. After all she hadn't known that she was pregnant until it had been pointed out to her. Even still, she decided to push that worry to the back of her mind. There was probably plenty of time to go yet and for the time being there was no reason to worry about it.

"We hope so!" She replied.

"Um, do you live near here, Mtima?" She doubted it, even as she asked the question, Most Gods - unless tied to a pride - would travel far and wide. However, now that her situation had changed, she wondered whether it might be better for her to return to the Dawnwalkers to stay and raise her children.

It definitely sounded like a good option.

Perfectly happy to be optimistic, especially since it wasn't her that was pregnant, she nodded when Roko gave a fairly optimistic answer. Or pretended to give an optimistic answer, Mtima didn't really notice either way. She blinked when asked about where she lived and couldn't help but look around them once before looking back to Roko and answering.

"I don't really live anywhere, if I did I guess it's the Haven," she said, "Do you live around here?" It seemed likely that Rokopelli lived here, but maybe this was just where she was waiting for Silos. A mate and family didn't have to mean you were stuck in one spot, especially for gods.

"The haven?" Rokopelli's face dropped a little to hear that. She did not have many good memories in that place. Much confusion and terror and...pain. She shuddered to think of that black god, his flashing teeth and claws, striking her from the cliff...never mind that she had provoked that reaction in him...She didn't remember that particular detail.

"You ought to be careful in that place, Mtima. Bad Gods there. We won't go there any more." She shook her head, determined of that. She would not tread there unless she absolutely needed to. And why would she ever?

"We don't live anywhere at the moment. Travel about. Might moveses to the Dawnwalkers, though. In a desert place. Nice place. Home."

Mtima frowned at the reaction Rokopelli had to the haven, though she knew there was plenty of potential for trouble in a place where only gods could go. Well, where any gods could go. But Mtima liked it, she was fairly careful..

"I like it," she muttered, shrugging, "I try to be careful, I've only seen nice gods there. Except Death, but he guards the gate and leaves me alone anyway." She shuddered. He did have to be aggressive for her to just not like him.

"The Dawnwalkers?" she asked, "Is that a pride? A pride would be so much fun! Especially a big one with all kinds of lions and cubs and.. yeah." She giggled. She did love prides, they were so lively.
PostPosted: Sat May 29, 2010 3:40 pm

She shuddered. Death. No.no.no. Don't think of that place. It couldn't hurt her if she never went there! Stay here where it was safe, amongst the mortals she loved and cared about.

"We met bad lion there. Won't go back." She seemed firm on this. "Much nicer peoples out here, anyway. Met Silos and Cassian and Illena and all our other friendses." Much more interesting, too.

"Yep, the Dawnwalkers is a pride. Called the Tuait'tekam, too. But Dawnwalkers is easier to say!" She fluttered her wings. "We were born there a long time ago, before the sealing. Stayed there a while back before the accident, but should be okay to go now. If you're ever near it, you should visit us. We're friends now! Other would love you, too. They like Gods at the pride. Some don't but we don't go near those ones."

Still frowning, she nodded as Roko explained how she preferred to stay here. Mtima wasn't even entirely sure why she had been so afraid to leave the haven, she was just comfortable hiding away there. She listened as Roko listed some friends she had here, nodding along. That was good, friends were very good.

"Oh," she murmured and listened to Roko explain more about the Dawnwalkers, smiling when she commented on the names, "I would like that! I like prides a lot."
