Neomi saw a shadow, confused. She looked up above and smiled. She swam to the surface and stood back, catious. Seeing it was a human, she got closer. She cocked her head and said in a high, scared voice. "Um..Hi. My name is Neomi. As you can see..I'm a mermaid." Giggling nervously, she showed her tail, crawiling onto a rock.

Niel didn't respond, he actually couldn't. He was hungry and thirsty. Niel just let out a hoarse moan to let her know that he heard her.

Neomi widened her eyes and grabbed him, realizing what he needed. *Well, what she thought he needed* She sat him on the rock and watched him. She leaned down and patted his chest, putting her ear to his chest. She giggled and put her lips to his, trying to give him air. Then she tasted dryness and opened her eyes. She quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him through the water, trying to carry him so he could breathe. She went as fast as she could, and finally went to shore. She grimaced because it was sandy. She pushed him as fast as she could, and jumped back into the water, watching him.

Niel turned over onto his stomach and tried to climb back up to his feet. He quickly grabbed hold of whatever was next to him to keep balanced. Niel tried to find some food or fresh water nearby and to his luck, stumbled upon the refridgerator from the ship that must have washed up not long ago. Niel stuffed his face with any mold free food he found. He walked back over to Neomi and bowed down.

She cocked her head, still confused. "Umm..What did I do that was so special?" She asked. She giggled. "Oh, thanks. Umm..I didn't do much. It's okay." She swam in the distance, but came close again. "So..what is your name?" Neomi asked curiously, hoping he could talk now.

Niel spoke, his voice was still a little cracked and dry, but he has escaped the grip of death's hand. "You have saved my life, therefore, you are now my master. I am Niel of Blaidd, at your service."

Neomi shook her head quickly. "No..no..no. Please. Not your master. I'm not that. But..can I just be your friend? You would be my first boyfriend." Then she turned scarlet. "Umm I mean a boy who is a friend.." She smiled and turned away.

"Very well, but if you don't mind me asking. What exactly are you?" Niel asked. He has seen many strange things outside of his village, but this is the first time he's ever seen a mermaid.

She watched him. "It's fine. Um, Well. I have to say I'm a mermaid, but only half. I was born human." She smiled and missed the good old days when she could walk on land. Looking down, a tear rolled down her cheek. She only barely remembered her parents, whom were very rich. She didn't know where they were now..

Averill swam through the waves, trying to find some under her command. She found one, finally, near an island. As she swam forward, she realized who she was with, making her swim faster. Once he got close to shore, she let her transform back to legs, and she climbed to shore. "Who is this?" She stared at Neomi, not even looking at the human.

Niel walked towards the new woman who had just appeared next to Neomi and introduced himself. "My name is Niel Nordigraf. I came from a small island village off the coast of Wales, but my ship crashed. If it weren't for her I would've died." he said.

Averill grabbed a sword from her back, putting it to his throat. "You are not trying to hurt anyone?" She stared at him. She had always hated human, and she always would.

Niel felt the blade's tip barely poking his throat and froze"Why would I hurt anyone? No one has wronged me." Niel replied in his defense. "Besides, do you see any weapons on me?"

Neomi walked up to the girl and smiled. "Please don't hurt my friend. Humans may not be the smartest the on Earth, but they are somewhat valuable. My name is Neomi. And you are?" She said sitting back on the sand her tip of her tail sitting in the water and thumping, making splashes. She continued to smile at Niel and winked, grinning.
