Slough Feg isnt playing that show.
They were playing with Huntress back in June, but they moved the venue to a 21 and over, and since I was a freshie 21 and my man isn't quite there yet, I opted not to go. We did something else toegther instead.
Meh.

I hate 21 and over shows. I missed Celtic Frost a while back because the friend I was gonna go with was under 21.
And thanks for the info CS smile

Haha, I tend to forget the legal age in the States is 21. Most gigs allow below 18s in. They get a stamp on their hands so they cannot get alcohol, the over 18s just get in and can drink. Some gigs only allow over 18s. Then we have an option of the same band playing twice in one evening - earlier in the evening for under 18s and later in the evening for over 18s. =o

I wish our drinking age was 18. I mean, at this point it really doesn't affect me anymore, it just doesn't make sense that somebody can be a legal "adult" and still not be allowed to buy a beer.
And I don't know about Hollow's event, but I know my missed one was a hard line 21 and up only.

There are a lot of clubs in my area, so when they say 21 and over, they mean business.

Meh. The MLDA of 21 is nothing more than the federal government blackmailing the state/local governments because the federal government doesn't have the "right" according to the Constitution to make such a law, however the states CAN.
Is it silly? Of course. Will it cure the problem they are trying to prevent? Absolutely not. Kids who want to underage drink and drive, are going to do it. No if and's or but's. It's going to happen. In fact the MLDA where it is right now is most likely doing more harm than good. But, the trade off is the problem group being younger kids drinking more dangerously. AND AGAIN, kids who are going to drink are going to do it. Kids have ALWAYS found a way to get what they want and they will continue to do so whether the MLDA is 14, 16, 18 or 21.

I prefer shows that are 18+ or anything over that.
I really hate todays youth in the U.S. (since I can't speak for other countries, seeing as how I've never travelled out of this one). It seems people stopped teaching their children to be polite, all ages shows are horrible, and full of annoying kids who have no idea how to act at concerts. Actually I even hated all ages shows when I was younger than 18.
Now that I'm 21, I never have to worry about age limits of shows, so its great.

Who'd get punished if someone bought alcohol when under 21?
