Don't Sweat The Small Stuff.
Looks like he couldn't use the same thing on Misuki as he had on Jade. ( twisted ) From the explosion that rang out, he figured Nakaya was acting like a dumbass, again, and attacking Takashi. Explosion release propulsion. It was a standard gap-closing tactic, packed a heavy punch. Problem is that is was nigh impossible to change direction mid-flight. He didn't apply any chakra to his would-be jutsu, and simply nulled the hand signs as he counted to himself. 3....2....1... Gripping the ribbon tightly, he spun around, sliding as he did so. "And you're still to head strong for your own good, Nakaya!" The ribbon was securely in both hands, he waited until Nakaya was almost in reaching distance before raising the ribbon above the oncoming punch, bobbing to the left, and using both ends of the ribbon within his hands to firmly wrap the wrist. From there, he he spun, then hurled Nakaya at Misuki. He did everything he could to avoid being in front of Nakaya's fingertips. He knew this guy's ability, and it wasn't pretty to go head to head with. If he was going up against both of them, he was in a mite bit of trouble, but nothing he wasn't prepared to contend with.
Just then, a surge of weakness hit his body. Crap. Nakaya's intrusion threw him off his timing, which caused the first gate to close. Misuki probably picked up on it at well. He had to play defensively at the moment, and wait for another chance. He didn't have to worry about burning anyone from this distance, so he used his Flame Spread technique on his gloves, igniting them once again. The ribbon, if it wasn't still on Nakaya, laid next to Takashi himself.

Kay heard the words and saw the ribbon reach for his wrist. It was a smart move, one that He would have to commend the boy for, but Kay was much smarter than Takashi gave him credit for. And headstrong? Nah, Kay was just trying to get Takashi's attention, and had assumed full well that the attack would fail. Given the counter however Kay had to think fast. As he was swung, Kay placed a hand on his chest and his eyes gleamed. Just before the point in the arc where he would have been thrown, Kay set off an explosion on his own body that would be much more than large enough to send Takashi back a few feet from the shockwave while severing his hold on him. Even so the tremendous strength Takashi used was more than strong enough to make Kay fly, even if a little bit shorter than Takashi hoped and not where he had aimed Kay. He flew in a cloud of dust and debris, which would stop abruptly on the ground a nice distance from Takashi and Misuki. The cloud would clear away slowly, revealing first his head, a very bright smile present, and then a shirtless, toned body without a scratch present. "Probably so old buddy. Round one goes to you," he said dusting himself off. He cracked his neck, and then looked between him and the hokage, who gave the bells a jingle somewhere during him being thrown like a ragdoll. "Am I to assume your being tested here?" He took note of that fact and added on that this was not the real Misuki, but a clone. He then chuckled. Looks like he'd been tricked. "Forgive me if I am wrong but would it not be more worth your time to test the both of us at once as opposed to having me serve as a distraction for you to catch your breath? I mean surely even though you are a clone two genin shouldn't be worth your mettle right?" The question was rhetorical. Kay knew full well he could outsmart this clone if he actually worked his brain a little. And Takashi as an ally, well that would just make this easy.

 Misuki Sindoue Sindoue clan | Konohagakure | Hokage (Sp.Jounin) | Clone From her spot in the back, the clone watched impressed with the boys' ability over their elements and bloodline abilities. From the looks of it, the two know each other and may prove to benefit from working with one another. 'Something to think about another time...' As Kay finally caught on to the current situation, Misuki simply smirked and and spoke coyly. "What makes you think I'm not testing you now Souta-san? I mean, there are always more than one way to evaluate someone." Nakaya was one who uses his mind, Misuki recalled that from their previous meeting and surely he would once more try to out think her. How he hoped his play on words would help this mission, is still a mystery to Misuki. "Well? Shall we continue boys? Or would you two prefer to fight it out first? Afterall, I only have three bells and no one said that getting more wouldn't give you more benefits." Holding on to her smirk, Misuki raised her left hand and shook the bells once more.

Takashi cracked his neck. "Let's make this interesting, Naka. Whoever gets more bells wins. Loser buys the winner ramen." As much as he wanted to fight one on one, Nakaya was already here. No use crying over it now. He was starting to feel the effects of the Gate closing, so the addition of another shinobi evened out his current weakness. What else could he use? Nakaya could make things explode with, and Misuki still had her hair ribbon. By now, half the field was ablaze due to his previous efforts... "Just a little more." He inhaled and swayed back a little, then exhaled as he charged forward once again, mirroring his previous attack: touching the ground barely with his gloves which left a trail of fire behind him. Once about half way, he began to perform handsigns. "Shishigami Ninpo..." He grinned wickedly for a second. "Psych! Fukumen no Jutsu!" He clapped it hands together, sending off a flash of white fire. Now, one of two things would happen. Either Misuki would be blinded, or she would have closed her eyes to avoid the flash. Either way, Nakaya would have his perfect opportunity to strike.
Jutsus Used:
Katon: Fukumen no Jutsu (Fire Release: Veil Technique)
This technique can be described as a distraction technique. After performing the necessary seals, the user will clap their hands in front of them. Then, a flash of white flames erupts from their hands, which can blind people who are close. This technique can blind an opponent for 1 post, and then they gain their vision once more. Used correctly, this can lead up to a killing attack, or used to make a hasty getaway.

Kay nodded to Takashi when he offered his game. Takashi was either egging Kay into doing work for him, or was generally dense. He was reeling from opening the first gate, so Kay would just use the weakened male as a stepping stone. Kay also take note of the fact that Misuki said she was testing him and responded just before the first move by Takashi. "I know this test now features me in it's write up, but I'm smarter than to belive this whole thing was a plan for you to test me from the start. You two were really into it even before I took notice. Besides..." Takashi's fire would begin now, "We can fight over bells after your destroyed!" he called out immediately grasping the basic plan made by Takashi. While he ran ahead he clapped his hands together, and Kay did handseals too. He sunk into the ground suddenly and swam much faster than Takashi was running to get behind her. He would quietly rise behind her, removing a kunai and aiming to distract her by thinking that was his plan of attack, when in reality his plan was to send her into oblivion with a bang. The fire, well he would barely notice it, would rage as he stabbed towards her back. If she avoided it, he had two fingers on the base of the kunai's handle ready to explode with 1/3 the strength of a paper tag. Either way, Misuki was done for.

Misuki Sindoue Sindoue clan | Konohagakure | Hokage (Sp.Jounin) | Clone As she watched the boys for their reactions, Misuki noticed Takashi swaying a bit and from the looks of it, it would be apparent that the gates were taking it'll toll on him. 'Seems it closed on him...that's the worst...' Spreading her feet apart, Misuki bended her knees slightly and easily slipped into a defensive position. The boys were offensive fighters, so whatever they have planned will be devestating. Just look at the surrounding area, Takashi's flames scorched most of the stone/dirt ground. Luckily none of the trees caught on fire or else there'll be a forest fire within her own village. Simply keeping to her smirk when Nakaya responded, Misuki shrugged her shoulders in response. "Think what you will but I have my ways of knowing things..."
Tensing slightly as Takashi charged forward once more, dragging his gloves along the ground and leaving a trail of fire behind him. Partway through, Misuki spotted handsigns and before she knew it, he clapped his hands together and a flash of white covered her vision. Backing up, Misuki was met with a kunai and within the next second, she was pierced through and exploded into a blast of air. The bells immediately falling straight towards the ground. As the field cleared once more, a small folded slip of paper will be seen on the ground where the clone once stood and three shattered bells will be there as well if Nakaya forgets to make a catch for them during the last moments of her clone's life.
When opened, the note will say the following:
The eyes that contantly watch over the village...

Takashi never stopped his momentum from when he ran to the veil jutsu. Thank god for that. He knew Nakaya was one for explosions, but the fool wasn't aware of the rules set into play. Which was probably unavoidable, seeing as how he wasn't in the debriefing to begin with. "Crap, crap, crap, crap!" The realization soon hit him: if the rules said that if a bell was destroyed, he go no good stuff out of the deal, then if any one of the three broke, he'd be screwed. There was no way he was going to let Saiyuri or Ken get into whatever special treatment plan Misuki had planned without him being there too. He dove, hands extended as the flame spread buff removed itself from his gloves, and managed to cup the bells right before they hit the ground. There was still a problem though. The fires he started before? They were still there. He rolled into them, using his body to still protect the bells. "Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!" He jumped up off his back out of the fire, but his jacket was still on fire. "Naka! Take! NOW!" He began to wave the bells furiously as he began to burn. No way in hell he was going to chance them falling, though.

Kay smirked as the "game" came to an end, Takashi dove for the bells, and then handed them to him. Kay would smirk and leave, having read the note and gathering that it was talking about the monument. "See you at Mt. Hokage Takashi!" he said. He would leave one single bell tied to the end of a kunai in a nearby tree. Takashi would have to hear it ringing in the wind to retrieve it.

Takashi sighed as Nakaya left. With the bells secured, he took of the flaming jacket and, literally, began to 'eat' the flames. True, they were debris from his actions, but they no longer held his chakra signature; it was a free meal. Once he saved his jacket, he trailed after Nakaya after nabbing the bell off the tree.

Ken walked quietly to the gates and noticed the destruction that had occurred, it made sense that he would be asked along with other shinobi to help assist in rebuilding them. This huge opening would lead them to be weak if an attack might arrive at their once strong and impenetrable gates. Looking over this calmly he nodded as he moved to a nearby shinobi seemingly directing those assisting in the repairs being made. Showing him the scroll the shinobi glanced over it a second before pointing towards large sections of wood that needed to be moved and placed in a line together to form the new section of the gates that would replace the old mangled one. Nodding to him Ken walked over to it and the others that were there and began to help. Being a taijutsu user he was essentially a work horse, being able to power through intense physical labor with his heightened physique allowing him to be extremely helpful in this type of mission as he soon displayed already showing some kind of progress...

Mifune made his way to the gates and watched the shinobi work. He soon spotted a group of engineers working on a desk covered in scrolls. With a smile he made his way over to them and began to look over the scrolls. He had a good bit of knowledge about military engineering and thoroughly enjoyed learning more about it. He pulled open a scroll and began to jot down notes. After a few moments of looking at the plans he found what looked like an error so he made his way over to the shinobi in charge and said," Would it not be stronger if the two beams that are planned to run across the gate lengthways ran vertically into the ground. That way the ground can secure the gates along with the tensile strength of timbers. " The shinobi stared at him rather dumbstruck then smiled and said," Make it happen" Mifune happily made his way over to the engineers and told them of the changes before tucking the scroll into his pocket and making his way over to the other Genin working and said," Slight change in plans the main timbers are going to be vertical instead of horizontal. " He handed the Genin the scroll with the diagram he drew for the changes.

Ken looked at the directions he had been shown. Seeing them calmly he nodded to himself as he spoke " It does seem as though the vertical timber would allow for the gate to be stronger and better fortified..." he said calmly as he looked over it and motioned for the others that were assembling timber to come closer, they all looked over the plans for several moments as they studied the changes that had been made to the plans as he calmly handed the scroll back to Mifune and spoke " Ken Shihouin... I take it you're in my squad as well?" he said calmly as he looked at him and began to help the men assemble the gates in a new position as he awaited the response of Mifune awaiting whatever response he would give as he slowly worked remaining close so that he could listen...

| Leaf Genin | Weapon Master Class | Mayu Bloodline | Daichi in all of his black glory approached the group of engineers, and quickly read over the plans laid out on the table. His mind made rapid calculations as to how the design could be improved, and he thought of one immediately. After forming a telepathic link to Mifune (Daichi doesn't know Mifune's name, but he's one of the only two other guys there with ninja garbs on, so he assumes Mifune to be a part of his reconstruction squad. He picks Mifune in particular because he overheard Mifune make the suggestion to the group as he approached from down the street) he pulled out a scroll from his back and began making rapid brushstrokes on the paper. Any who looked up to see his expression underneath the black hood would find only the black leather helmet greet their gaze without emotion. The scroll read: I am Daichi, a fellow member of this reconstruction squad. I think we could improve this design even further by putting a small roof over the top of the gate so the wood is protected from the natural elements. We could also form fold-down braces that would further enhance the durability of the gate, but we first need 4 timbers to form 2 braces across each door of the gate.
One will be at the top and the other at the bottom, and you will use hinges to attach the drop-down support beams to the top brace timbers and ropes held by rings in the ground to keep the fold down braces out of the way until you need them. The folding braces will swing back into the village and hit the ground with an angled edge so the bottom is flush with the ground and with the sideways timbers. We can also bury a couple wider timbers in the ground and carve a big groove into the wood so that the folding timbers have something substantial to push against.Included with the words was a rough draft of the looks of the new additions along with a list of supplies. He looked up from his quick work to see if anyone would agree, but particularly the person who had been linked to Daichi telepathically.

Mifune nodded and stepped back and placed his hand on his waist and bowed at the hips waving his other arm out and said," It is a pleasure to meet you Ken." He stood back up and continued," ... I am Uchiha Mifune. Gentleman Shinobi. Yes it would seem so. " He took another step back as his mind was intruded by a voice. He looked around trying to gauge who it came from to no avail so he simply responded not knowing if the voice on the other end would be able to hear him or not. " The roof is a good idea but the rest is merely an excessive waste. These gates do not need to be incredibly strong. They will be keeping out bandits for the most part which all in all are not well equipped enough to have any type of siege engine's thus eliminating the need for the larger defense. In the case of defending against shinobi then the gates will be useless as they can simply jump over them via the trees. These walls are not fortified enough to grant such defenses. Furthermore in the case of defending against a siege you dont want the gates to be to strong as the enemy will simply target the walls instead thus robbing you of a potential killing pit. If its a large shinobi force then it will be fought far away from here out in the woods or here inside the city. Any real fighting would be pointless here at the gates. " He wondered who the man was, Mifune would enjoy more conversations of the topic of warfare tactics.
