I bought this guide for Wario World....for GC...... it was helpful. The best part of guides is that you don't have to go on the internet....but I like playing a game without a guide. Because It's cool when you don't know what will happen.^^
But they are VERY useful (the computer guides and bought) when you get stuck somewhere.... sweatdrop
Wario World was a very bad game btw. >.< I like games that have more action and more challenges.

As long as you have internet, what is the point of paying $15 to get a guide that dosn't tell you much to begin with. If you need a good guide, go to www.gamewinners.com . That where I go and its usualy pretty good stuff.

I would say yes and no. For instance, In buying the guide, you can complete the game in a snatch and its quite fun to do the game with the guide aswell as without. But, on the other hand, if you use the internet, you can get games rockingly easily; and EVERYTING for the game. Every little piece can be found on the web in one place or another. Its also cheaper to get the information you need. HOWEVER; to get all the information, its best to print it all of, since there can be a lot. And that means that it uses up the ink in the printer really quickly; and the only alternative is to write it ALL down by hand, which would be really well, in a word; evil.
Its also quite interesting in reading where everybody finds their cheats, FAQs, etc. I go to www.gamefaqs.com It has any game (as far as I have looked) on it. I would reccomend it, as it is very easy to find which game you are looking for. You look up the platform, then the letter of the game that you want. Everything's listed alphabetically.

Yes, but then, not if you don't like them. I bought the FFX guide, it helped me a whole lot, but then that was after I realized it's a good idea to save Overdrives for bosses. I was stuck on the Seymour/Anima/Seymour battle, so I started a new game and saved over that, used the guide and won it in a snap. I had printed out a guide to fight him before and it didn't work. The book did. I actually ended up using it for the rest of the game. I liked the fact it had a whole chapter on blitz, and a whole chapter on sidequests and secrets. The poster's a nice bonus, too.

no.
just no.
if your going to buy a guild to tell you how to play the game. you are not a gamer and should save you money and let some 1 else play it for you.
the only time its good is if your a big time gamer and u have it just to have it.
also there ok when there is stuff in there you cant get any where else. like the limited golden eye 64 guide. it had stuff in there no 1 else had till years after the game came out... the game guide let us know about it. thats ok.
other then that. become a gamer or waist your life else where.

=MP=Deathwish no. just no. if your going to buy a guild to tell you how to play the game. you are not a gamer and should save you money and let some 1 else play it for you. How can you say that? There's no distinct definition for gamer, it would be best to just call it someone who plays games. Using a guide to help isn't "not being a gamer", because you are still playing the game. As long as you are playing the game, no conditions apply to "not being a gamer".

Well I don't always buy a guide, sometimes if I want to know how to unlock to the cooler things or if I'm stuck in one certain place, I look to the internet to help me there. But in games for which are massive and I know I won't remember alot of things to do for the game, then I get the guide. Also if I want info on the monsters/bosses I'll get the guide.

She had no idea how to do the sphere thinging where you learn techs and stuff, so her characters were like level 5 and she was trying to beat Seymour. so in some situations, the guides really help
