Cookie nodded emphatically at Eve before leaning down to pick up the toy from Lava to play with the other kitten for a bit. The two chimeras were kept amused while her companion was out of the room, finding whatever it was.

Eve smiled as she found the picture in a book in her bookshelf, part of her was wondering why the picture was there. She'd think about it later.
The toddler ran out of her room, tripping slightly and catching herself before going into Lava' room.
The picture in her hand was of Cookie at the Midnight ball and Eve had tried her best to make it look life-like.

Cookie had been in the process of playing with the other kitten again when her friend entered. She mewed happily and darted over to hug Eve and look over the other tot's shoulder. Wow! So pretty!
The chimera girl purred and motioned for Lava to come see too. Wow it was pretty! Not that Cookie knew much about art but yay pictures!

Eve hugged her back, "I hope you like it. It's for you." Eve was happy that Cookie did seem to like it.
Lava came over, curious about what the picture as the kitten had seen Eve working for a good while on the other day on it. The chimera kitten purred at the picture as he thought it was colorful.
Lila smiled when the last tray of food was on the table, "Dinner's ready, I'll get the kids."

The other girl's eyes lit up as she darted forward to hug Eve, her purring low in her throat and a non-spoken thank you for the present. Cookie couldn't wait to show Mommy! But first, she showed Lava, very proud for Eve, jabbering at the other chimera about how pretty it was.

Eve grinned slightly, accepting the low purr as a thank you. Lava answered back that he agreed how the picture was. The kitten knew her mother would be proud since Eve seemed to work on her skills as an artist every day that she could.
Lila poked her head in the room and laughed softly as she was glad to see Eve being a good hostess. "Eve, Cookie, dinner's ready. Lava, I've sat your food in your bowl," the nanny said.
Eve nodded as she knew her own mother would like to see the picture as well as Cookie's mommy. "Shall we?" Eve asked Cookie as she picked up Lava.

The fuzzed tot nodded emphatically, slithering beside Eve and holding her new present delicately. As they descended the stairs, the tot waved to her mother, wanting to show off the present she'd received.
"Seeee?" she purred out, holding the picture up before Ivy, Lila and Lam like a prize, "Eve gift to Cookie." There was extra special effort and emphasis in these words - they were special to her, after all. Eve was her friend.
Lam smiled brightly, "It's very pretty! Did you draw that yourself, Eve?"

Eve knew her mother would be pround to see how much she had improved on her work. She had done the picture with Cookie in mind and was glad to see her friend liked her gift so much.
Ivy turned around to look at the picture and picked up Eve to hug her gently, knowing Lava was still in her arms. "Good job, sweetie. I was wondering what you were up to after the ball," the assassin said before putting her daughter on the ground.
Eve nodded, "I didn't want my uncles or grandpa to help me, so I did it myself. Took a few days of work, but I'm glad you like it, Cookie."

"Very nice work." Lam agreed, helping Cookie to put the picture into her special purse. "I love having this thing with me on special occasions - it's spelled to have infinite holding and that is sooo convenient when you don't have pockets." the blonde told Ivy in a pleasant manner.
Cookie dashed over to hug her friend and Lava again, still purring up a storm.
"WE should probably get to dinner soon or Cookie won't stop cuddling Eve." her mother laughed.

Ivy nodded in agreement as a purse like came in handy. "Where'd you get it?" She asked politely before nodding in answer to the other comment as she knew Lila would be upset if the food was cold by the time everyone ate it.
"Dinner, kids," Lila said as she walked into the dining room. Ivy followed her.
Eve laughed and smiled, "They're right, Cookie. Nanny Lila hates for the food to be cold." The little girl hugged her back before going into the dining room and going to one of the seat with a booster seat in it.

"It was a gift from an old classmate of mine at the academy ins Zescasia. She was doing mage training and needed to practice some basic spells and this was one of them." Lam explained, helping Cookie into a seat by Eve before taking her own seat.
The pink haired tot didn't really need a highchair or booster, having such a long tail to coil up, so she was able to sit comfortably next to her friend on a regular seat.
"Well, things look good to me. Do you have some sort of before meal rituals we should go through or what?" it was an odd question, though intended politely. Lam tended to get in a short prayer to a few gods from her homeworld before she ate, but they weren't obtrusive and she'd prefer to complete the Poison family's ritual first.

"It's a lovely purse and appears to be very useful. My uncle Damin is like a mage himself," Ivy listened, sitting a plate of food in front of both children.
Eve smiled at Cookie, slightly surprised to see her not need a booster seat. Eve would need on until she grew taller. The toddler still smiled as she was glad to be able to sit with Cookie.
Ivy shook her head, "I don't have any before meal rituals though Lila prays for a few minutes before she eats. If you have any, you're welcome to pray to whoever you want. Eve and I tend to wait for Lila.
The nanny sat down beside the assassin, bowing her head to pray quietly to herself.

Lam smiled and quietly mumbled a few prayers in a language they didn't understand. After that, however, she was back to her cheery self. "I'd forego the rituals but I work for a goddess and my grandfather's a god so I kinda have to do that sort of thing now and then." she explained. She really should introduce Pudgit to Varian and Cookie someday.
Cookie poked at her dinner a bit with a fork before nibbling some and making a loud, happy mew. Yummy!

Ivy smiled, "I can understand that." Ivy had never done prayer as Anya and Louie were against religion.
Eve took a few bites after Lila finished her prayer, nodding in agreement with Cookie on the food.
Lila grinned, "Glad you like you, Cookie. Eve loves it when I make this dish."

Lam grinned, cutting into her food a bit and taking a bit. Afterwards, she nodded to Lila, "It is really good." she told the other woman with a bright smile.
Cookie purred once more before nibbling her food again. She seemed interested in animated conversation with her friend, but lacked the vocabulary to do so, so she ended up just making random mews and kitty noises at Eve in a babbly way.
