Kizuka's heart sank slightly as Oki mentioned not having seen Spenta since he tried to save her. She hoped Spenta was alright. She knew how malicious Angra could be, and could not bear to think of what he could have done to Spenta.
"I..." Kizuka began, before even realizing what she was saying, "...would care for him."
"He does not have to end up a horror like Angra," She murmured quietly. This all pained her so. Sure, these children were Angra's, and how she hated Angra, but even if they were the by product of something aweful, it did not mean they had to end up aweful. Oki herself had just said that there was a gentle one within the group, why couldn't there be two? Why on earth did this bright yellow cub have to end up like his father?
"I live in a place where Angra would never find him. In a mountain valley, heavily guarded and protected from our enemies," Kizuka said, rambling on, "Blame it on me if you have to, Oki. Tell Angra I showed up looking for Spenta with a guard of 10 or more. That we overpowered you and that you couldn't defend them from us all."
"I will take the blame..."

Oki stared at Kizuka, shocked. Would she really do such a thing? If Oki had a good heart, she would have said no, insisted that she should be the one to care for her young, but that was not the case. Oki had had enough of Bagrat, and with a willing victim here to take him away... This could not be more perfect!
"You can have him if what you say is true." Oki swatted Bagrat on the behind, ushering him toward Kizuka. "It sounds like everyone would be better off this way." Yes, she wouldn't have to deal with Bagrat, Bagrat wouldn't have to deal with her, Angra would be upset with Spenta rather than her... It was better than anything she could have wished for in this situation!
"Just keep yourself safe, you hear? I'm sure you have an idea of what Angra would do to you if he found you. Only take him if you're sure that he won't find you, or you could both be in real danger." She didn't really care about Bagrat, but she had some sympathy for the kind lioness before her. She didn't want to put someone like this in harm's way, someone who clearly had a good heart.
That kind of lion seemed to be getting rarer and rarer lately.

Bagrat's eyes widened. Really? She'd really care for him. For the first time, he saw this lioness as something other than nice and pretty. Her soft words were sweet, but he'd only ever heard his parents and siblings before and knew nothing of goodness, but this had to be it. He'd never met Uncle Spenta - likely never would - but this lioness would actually care for him?
The smile that lit up his face was neither cold nor cruel as he darted forward to nuzzle at Kizuka happily. "Really really?" he asked her, for once sounding like a little one rather than a jaded creature that'd seen too much in too little time.

"I know what Angra is capable of," Kizuka said coldly. She was fully aware of what that terrible creature was capable of. Thankfully he also knew what she was capable of. Bagrat and her would be safe from Angra's grasp up in Kizuka's pride. Angra would not dare attempt to attack her, especially knowing the risk of having an entire army taking him down and risking the lives of his other cubs in the process.
"Bagrat and I will be fine. Where were will be Angra can not touch us." Kizuka stated reassuringly.
Kizuka nodded to Bagrat and patted the child gingerly on his furry little head. Kizuka wasn't quite sure why she was doing this, but felt this was something she had to do. Spenta would not want this child to live a life that would lead him into becoming another Angra. Dealing with one was becoming difficult enough.

Oki simply nodded solemnly. It was clear that Kizuka had an understanding of what she was getting herself into, and was confident that they would be safe where she was going.
"You have my thanks, Kizuka." She said simply, "I have little to offer, but if there is anything you ever need, come and find me. I will help if I can."
It felt strange to be offering assistance to someone she had just met. Oki rarely offered to help anyone, even those close to her, but for some reason she felt like she owed this lioness a favor. She had, after all, just taken the worst of the litter off of her shoulders without even being asked. It was the least she could do. Oki's heart had changed since Angra showed up, maybe she was starting to learn kindness and gratitude? How odd that something good could come from such a terrible experience. She mused silently as she watched Bagrat suddenly become excited by the idea.
Maybe it wasn't that Oki had changed, but that Kizuka was magical. That had to be it. Even Bagrat had been affected by her, he wasn't being cruel like he usually was, he actually seemed happy for once, and not at anyone else's pain.
"You are truly a gift." Oki said with a slight smile, bowing her head to Kizuka. "May you live a long and happy life."
