I love this book but I think the third one is best.
This bok is great but is the American version called the Golden Compass or what? I'm not sure.

Supposedly, your daemon is supposed to reflect your personality in some way. I really am not sure what mine would be. A panda would be amusing.

Don't worry, things will pick up in the story and make more sense later on. I really enjoyed this series it was very imaginative ^_^
I think my daemon would be either a kitten or a squirrel, I'm a very hyper person ^^

I read that book around september! ^_^It was really good! and the 2nd and 3rd books are even better! Im in the process of reading Amber spyglass. Don't forget the movie coming out also. ^_^ Great book! Very Suspenseful makes you not want to put the book down till its done! 3nodding If I had a daemon right now, i think it would be a Golden retreiver puppy ^_^

wow I finished this book on Friday in the morning at 8:00am before school
I had to stay up till like 12:00am to read it to the end
I picked it also for my book report biggrin
I think it was very interesting to read and cute with the little daemons
I wanna read book number 2 and 3
does anyone know what they are called????

Anasuki_PL wow I finished this book on Friday in the morning at 8:00am before school I had to stay up till like 12:00am to read it to the end I picked it also for my book report biggrin I think it was very interesting to read and cute with the little daemons I wanna read book number 2 and 3 does anyone know what they are called???? pm me about that The sequels are "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass." Will is cute

I read this book years ago. I don't remember too much about it, but what I do remember is that I thought it was just okay. I read it because a friend at that time had thought it was God's gift to the library.
I just couldn't stand the 2nd book though. I read about...two chapters maybe before I gave up, thus I never read the 3rd book.
The book had some elements that I thought were EXTREMELY interesting, such as the daemons, but other than that, your standard novel. I think my daemon would be cougar.

Ah, how can you not have liked the 2nd book. I am know trying to remember what happened in the first two chapters. It is SO good. Maybe you should give it another try.
