 Lucid got up out of his eat again. A thunder cloud roared over the bright blue sky. Spark of lighting surround Lucid as the cloud hovered over his office. Once the cloud had covered his office lighting shot from his body all over the room. Lucid kept his eyes closed and his body still as this occurred. It appeared as though he planned this all along. The lighting never got close to hitting Shizuka. The lighting hit both tea cups and hit the window behind Lucid. The glass shattered into hundreds of little pieces. When the cloud passed over his office the random lighting bolt attacks went away. Thats not the way i intended to tell you but yes that is my power. To control lighting and use its power for my own free will. Lucid showed another smile then looked around his office at the damage he did to it. This is not good. Now i have to clean up this whole office again. Im sorry that this happened i hope you were not harmed in anyway.

She wasn’t entirely sure what he was doing but her curiosity had been aroused so she squinted at him. A movement in the corner of her eyes caught her attention and she looked at the thunder cloud in confusion. The sky was completely bright blue except for this random one cloud. However, her thoughts were answered a short while later as the lightning bolts hit both tea cups and the window behind Lucid. She involuntarily flinched as the glass shattered, but she kept her cool. Wow. He didn’t really have to have…demonstrate it. Lightning, eh? Well, it sort of suited him, since he was the captain of a squad which dealt with large offensive attacks. She sighed. If she was up against that, she doubted that she’d be able to block it properly. She stood up, looking at the mess of glass pieces that were in the middle of the floor.
“Well, that’s certainly some power. Wow, I wish I had that…” she replied, “And don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine, it didn’t even come close. We could try cleaning this office up now, I’ll help, if you have a broom that would be great.”

You do not which to have the power i possess.When thunder cloud roll by i can't always control my abilities as you just saw.In thunder storms its alot worse. I try not to fight if a thunder storm is coming. Lucid walked out the room for a second and came back in with two brooms. Lucid began to wipe up the glass from the window. After he finished sweeping up the glass he dumped it all in the trash can that was in the corner of the room left to his desk. Lucid used his hand to get the shattered glass from his tea cup into the trash can. He passed the trash can over to Shiuzuka so she could the same. While passing it a thought crossed his mind. What is your power? Lucid thought her powers would allow her to read minds or control people like a puppet if you looked at her Zanpactous. Lucid sat down with anticipation.

Lightning. It was definitely a powerful power, especially if the enemy had some fear of thunderstorms. Maybe she’d get to see him in action with somebody one day. Just as long as she wasn’t the other person, she didn’t mind too much. She dumped the glass shards into the trash can and then picked out the shattered glass her tea cup and put it into the trash can. Looking around, a satisfied smile appeared on her face. The office looked much better than before, since most of the glass shards had disappeared. As he asked the question, she turned around to face him.
“Actually, my power lies more in the mind, since I can control emotions, read minds and compel people to do things,” she didn’t exactly know why she was telling him this but she continued, “Mainly because many are too caught up in physical power, my abilities works against that and…I affect a person mentally. So people that don’t have strong minds would find me a difficult person to deal with.”

He hope she would never use her powers on him. Lucid didn't have a weak mind so he didn't see it being a big deal if she did try to use her powers on him or not. Lucid was taught a strong mind builds a strong body. Lucid never once thought a strong person physically could beat a strong minded person. Thats a good power to have. I would like to see your powers in action some day. Lucid sat down and enjoyed the brew from the once glass window behind him.

I wonder who would win between us.”
She flashed him a smile, although there were still many questions that she still had unanswered. What to ask first?
“Anyway, I’m sorry if I’m prying too much, but…how come you decided to be a Shinigami?” she asked, wondering.

I became a Shinigami because i want to kill evry single last hollow i can get my hands on. Lucid had his hand in the tightest fist he had ever had it in before. Blood ran down his hands. He relaxed and put his hands in his pocket so Shizuka would never see them. I think it be a good fight between the two of us. Lucid smiled

She hadn’t encountered the like for some time, except for when somebody close to people died and she could see the grief and anger written plainly on their faces. Her eyes caught sight of his clenched fist and she noticed the blood. However, he seemed to be trying to hide it from her so she didn’t protest. If she said anything, she had a feeling that it would just make him feel worse.
“Are you alright? What did the hollows do to you?” she asked in the calmest and most reassuring tone she could muster.

THe memories of the night his family and friends were killed by hollows came back to him once she asked him that question. Lucid gave a big sigh and hekd his Zanpactou with his right hand. He squeezed on the handle as hard as he possible could.
hollows,hundreds and hundreds of hollows, came and destroyed my home and killed everyone i have ever cared about dearly. They came unexpectedly and started eating everyone in the palace. I was conveniently in a room covered by a barrier. Sadly, i heard every last scream of all the women and children as they were devoured by hollows. After a hour the barrier was taken down and hollows came rushing in ready to do to me as they did to the others. But,something happened. A blast of lighting came shot down from the sky, and destroyed all the hollows in sight. After that all i saw was the burning buildings of what once was my home. Soon after Shinigami came and one of them took me in as his own. Lucid got quiet for a few minutes then he forced a smile.

Lucid didn’t seem too eager to be talking either after his long talk although he had attempted to force a smile onto his face. Images flashed through her mind as she processed the information – pictures of the hollows devouring the others, of a boy sitting in a room entirely surrounded by hollows, knowing that the barrier was going to come down soon, and the Shinigami. She had never managed to understand some people’s foolish desire to be a Shinigami, but this desire was neither foolish nor something she couldn’t understand. Moisturizing her lips, she tried to think of something encouraging to say. At this time, she couldn’t find anything and words failed her.
“Well, I’m truly sorry about the fact that you had to go through all of this,” she couldn’t find any other way to describe what she was feeling or how entirely wretched she felt for basically dragging this out of him.

Lucid walked by Shizkua and put his right hand on her right shoulder. He looked at her and smiled. Theirs nothing to be sorry about. Things happen for a reason. We as people never know what that reason is until years after the incident happens. When we realize why what happened happened it helps us grow and accept it. I figured out why this incident occurred. It must have happened so i could become a Shinigami and help take down the evil surrounding us.Because if those hollows didn't attack my home that night,i would have never become a shinigami. So im not mad about what happened. Im not happy about it either. Lucid hoped what he said made Shizuka understand how he felt about the situation. Don't feel like you forced this information out of me. I told you this because you our a comrade of mine and comrades need to trust each other. And i trust you. I trust all my comrades.Lucid looked up at the door where his Captain coat hung.

It wasn’t that she didn’t like it or anything like that, but she still felt slightly bad for what she had done. However, as he smiled at her, she attempted to force a smile on her face. Even she could tell that it was definitely not a smile that would convince anybody but she had to at least try. Hearing about people’s past sometimes made her want to cry, but as she had been taught, crying was a weakness and there was no point in showing the ‘c***k in her armour’, as people put it. She nodded slightly in understanding as she slowly processed the information once more.
“I think you’re a strong person, most of the people I have met would not be able to cope with these sorts of things,” she stood up and walked so that she was standing near the window.
She then turned back with a wry smile on her face. “One of my Shikai powers is the ability to seal emotions and memories away. Often, people who have experienced what you have gone through would rather seal their memories away rather than face the pain of losing a loved one every single day. I think…you are one of the bravest people I have ever met,” she replied as she lifted her eyes and met his gaze.

Lucid couldn't help but think about his past and how,as a kid, growing up was. He never talked to anyone after the incident. All he did was train until his body gave out. Lucid wanted to work his body to the point were it would just give out and he would die right then and there. He wanted to die because he hated himself for not being able to help fight off the hollows and save his family. Lucid hated being weak and punished himself for it. Until he became a shinigami and mastered his Shinkai ability. Gold dragon told him that he should not put himself through this pain and take this huge burden off his shoulders. Lucid took his advice and ever since then Lucid was always smiling.
Lucid walked up to the window and stood to the right of Shizuka. Im glad you said that,but i have to say that im not that brave. If it wasn't for my Zanpactou here..i wouldn't probably be alive right now. Lucid held on to his Zanpacotu and had a small smile on his face as he stared at the tree outside his window.

Not that brave? She wondered about him. He was entirely different to anyone she had met before so far, but she had not managed to met many of the other Captains. They were most likely going to be as fiercely dedicated and strong-willed as they were the Captain of the Gotei 13 after all. If there wasn’t any sense of order around, the Hollows would have most likely destroyed them a while ago. Rules were there to be checked and tested regularly or else there would be inequality all around. His zanpakuto helped him? Saved him? Really? Wow. That was certainly something she had never come across. Her own zanpakuto spirit was rather…different to her and while they could work together, they certainly did annoy each other sometimes.
“What did your zanpakuto do?” she asked quietly, her curiosity overruling her other thoughts.

All he did was told me he would promise to give me all the power i needed to destroy all the hollows i could as long as i promised to live on and stop beating myself down about what happened. Lucid didn't say another word after that. He kept quiet and walked into the small kitchen in his office. He began making another cup of tea for himself.
