No, but I watched one in the city near me. It wasn't so good. I guess we have more lesbiens than gay men. And the men that where there where obviously closeted because they where wearing clothes that they wouldn't be recognized in. But I saw a friend so I didn't feel so alone while watching the parade.
I think it was Taiwanese Pride participants who wore masks so they couldn't be identified in pictures or media. They have good reason to, when their everyday lives hang on a thread and it really is their only time to be unabashed about who they are. It's just ironic that people would liberate themselves, only to hide their faces or some other disguise.

Gay Gay at Great America was on May 28, and San Francisco Pride was June 26 and 27. ...And I don't even live in the U.S. Ah, the joy of Google!
Thank you! You're always so helpful... 3nodding

Vague
While it's true that some people have forgotten the meaning of Pride and just use it as an excuse to be flamboyant and crude, that's not what it's about. As you said, being gay is not an accomplishment. But there are several associated with it. Pride is about our achievement in accepting ourselves as different. Pride is about our courage to face the world as who we really are. Pride is about valuing the community we have, the network of support and understanding, and the unique subcultures we have. Pride is about our right to stand up and be recognized as people. Pride is about hope and building a better future for those who will follow us.

Well, pride shouldn't have to be included in those things. Most of the things you listed there shouldn't even be dealt wtih hardship.

So... you won't go to a gay pride parade because you know what it's like... but you're never been to one either.

Anyone else have a logical dilemma with this statement?

Ehh, you didn't read me correctly. I never said I knew what it was like, I said I was basing my opinion off of what I have seen. It's there in the second sentence.

Could we let the Pride debate slide? Unless you really want to turn this into an overdone ED thread. The fact is it exists, and we can either use it in a positive or a damaging way to the image of the GLBT, it's a personal responsibility at the individual level.
