Unfazed by her comments, Siri could see that she was getting irritated with him but that was alright for now. From her body language, he didn't feel the need to resort to physical violence because for what he had planned, he didn't need to kidnap her. "Heh. I haven't done anything worthy of boasting about." He wasn't the type to take the limelight but instead he would rather be the behind the scenes mastermind of it all. The goal of creating chaos was not to advance himself socially or politically but purely for the purpose of creating even more chaos in the world.

She didn't seem to understand so he explained it for her. "I don't need to 'do' anything right now. It may seem like I am in a position to take advantage of you but I do not need to and nor do I see any reason for it." She was only looking at the current situation and she did not see the fact that it would be much better for him to befriend her now than to attack.

Staring at her defiantly, Siri wanted to assure her that he had no ulterior motives. "So, relax, Mfuondoka. I have no intentions of doing anything." For now...

So Mfuondoka couldn't get a rise out of him. She couldn't get anything. Whatever game he was trying to play was severely and obviously bothering her, especially because she didn't know what it was.

With a hefty sigh, she sat on her haunches right beside him, perhaps even close enough to feel the touch of his fur; she was partially aware of this, but partially not due to her exasperation. She was close to resigning, maybe to see him another day with another approach.

Siri'harani had done this job, alright, in alluring her interest, even if they held notes of suspicion. It was characters like these who never existed for her - it seemed like a total opposite; whereas Mfuondoka was forthright and direct, he was uncommunicative and concealing something, even if it was something so inconsequential that wouldn't have mattered in his matrix of plans. How could anyone deal with someone like this?

"If your intentions were to drain me, you have met your goal," she reluctantly admitted.

"...Not everyone has struggled, though," she wanted to explain if he really believed that, "Sacrifices, though we wish for their experience, shouldn't be tainted with... such experiences that constitute 'struggling', as they won't be as enriching as more positive ones."

Hearing her sit down next to him, Siri smirked to himself knowing that this would not be the last time they met. He duly noted to himself that he needed to find shelter somewhere close by and familiarize himself with the border some more.

"Forgive me. I didn't mean to wear you out but hopefully I have answered at least some of your questions. Or at least given you some idea." Siri's mind was already racing with thoughts as he laid out the possibilities of the future. Looking at her questioningly, Siri was genuinely surprised at her response. "Really? You think that positive experiences are better than struggling? Personally, I've always seen struggles as the experiences worth living for. You learn the most about yourself when you are forced to work towards something. If given everything on a silver platter, you're just living but not experiencing." Shrugging slightly, Siri had spent large amounts of time pondering the schematics of life but he knew that everybody saw it differently especially those from the Mizimu.

As their talk moved on, it seemed as if Siri'harani was being more cordial, or at least less troubling and menacing than the beginning of their meeting. But still, his disinclination to get to the point - she was sure he had one, otherwise he wouldn't be here aimlessly badgering her - bothered her. This would perhaps be something to mull over during the stale days of watching her younger siblings fight amongst themselves.

"You think you're quite the cryptic, Siri'harani. 'Given you some idea' - of what?" she huffed out, then debating her response to the other concern; she thought she would have known the answer right away, with all her years of studying the Mizimu's practices and way of life - knowing that their way of life produced the exact effects their history promised to yield.

But her answer came out more in a quiver than she would have liked, "Well, we don't want sacrifices to be harmed... to have an accidental death not suitable for the spirits' appeasement. You still live and experience great things without struggle. Like... starting an honorable family and birthing non-coward children. That is very enriching."

When Mfuondoka felt him looking at her, she turned to meet his eyes and then, after a pause, commented, "But I'm not surprised you would think about things like that; your eyes tell me that you are very spiritual, and you also have a stable spirit. You also house a rather old spirit, but there is still some youth left in you."

Siri shrugged at her comment knowing that withholding information from her would only make her more curious. "You're smart. You'll figure it out." He needed to be cautious with what he revealed about himself; there was potential for his plans to go south if he wasn't careful. From what he deduced of her personality, Siri felt comfortable with the way the conversation was going. This way, he could let her get to know him without actually lying. He wanted to create chaos and at this point, lying to her would not achieve this goal. As cold-hearted as he was, lying was reserved for dire situations and true manipulation. Somewhere deep down, he didn't have the heart to deceive Mfuondoka about trivial matters such as his perceptions of the world.

Her justification for positive experiences was a typical Mizimu response and he expected nothing less from a pride that promoted sacrificial offerings. "Understandable. I can concede to the logic of that particular train of thought but you must admit, raising a family must have trials and pains of its own." Catching her gaze, he listened to her analysis of his spirit and laughed lightheartedly. "Spirit talk isn't something I'm completely used to but thanks? I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not." Though, he thought otherwise; the spirits were deceptive and the Mizimu still haven't understood that.

If he had intended for his words to leave Mfuondoka thinking, he wouldn't have been quite off the mark. But in addition, it moved her from her temporarily subdued state to that of an increasing animosity towards the difficult stranger. She didn't take pride in his acknowledgement of her mental acuity; it meant nothing, as he meant nothing to her. And his laughter at her commentary prompted her to rise from her place, pushing her body harshly against his, visibly upset.

"That's enough," she said simply but roughly; Mfuondoka didn't want to bother with him anymore - not if he was going to act like she was going to nonchalantly go along with whatever the hell he was trying to get from the situation.

"The only thing I'm getting from you is a desire to send the Mizimu warriors out to catch a harassment to the firstborn royal daughter. You shouldn't be anywhere near here, and I shouldn't even have fathomed asking you to join... or re-join, if you apparently have much knowledge of us already."

Her eyes concentrated on him angrily, paws gripping the ground firmly as she began to back away, "But I'm not one to lie. You will find yourself in trouble even without my word if you linger around here, Siri'harani. And if I stayed here for much longer, someone would send for my word. You think you're so tough? There are a dozen more lions in the Mizimu who have more frightening appearances than you. And more who are by far larger and would easily make you learn your place. You know I'm not scared of you, nor impressed by your antics."

Sensing her getting up, Siri'harani stared at her almost bewilderingly because nowhere in his last few comments was he trying to be abrasive or rude. This lioness was... strange and Siri felt a little uneasy that she was rather unpredictable. That made things even more interesting...

Ah. Firstborn royal daughter? That was a fancy title for something very simple, she was very important in the pride. Though, Siri was unaware of the multiple royal litters running about. The lion just listened to her speech and nodded. There was a part of him that wanted to retaliate because she had interpreted his comments completely differently than he had intended. But he knew better than that. Someday... she would come out here again searching for him whether she knew it or not. For a pampered lioness, her actions revealed potential conflict within herself? Maybe Siri was making too many assumptions but he liked guessing.

"Of course. Again, I'm still not intimidated or scared of these lions you speak of. Though, I will leave now but I know you won't forget me. Good luck with whatever you're struggling with and perhaps fate will allow us to meet again someday. Farewell." He spoke calmly as he rose from his sitting position and turned away from her. Walking away, Siri'harani couldn't help but smile knowing that he was very lucky to have met Mfuondoka.

Mfuondoka was far too perturbed to notice Siri'harani's quizzical expression and lack of response. It couldn't have been a miscommunication. He had clearly been speaking against the way she had been living the entirety of her life. He had shown skepticism when she housed no toleration for it. What she had learned all these years was not knowledge to be disregarded.

And she was making him comfortable, too. She hissed in a low tone when he left, her anger making her feel chained to the ground, unmovable. Siri'harani was definitely a brave lion in saying he was important to remember.

And Mfuondoka wished she could cast away the memory of this instance at once, but she would find that very hard to do.
