Therac was a green shadow with wide eyes wedged between two computer towers, and did not respond.
Hayes wore what could only be called an expression of amused botheration. "Al - c'mere, buddy." With a "Kay," the little legendary vanished and reappeared above the blond. It dropped on his head and mumbled "Hi," draping over his hair.
Paying absolutely no mind to the Jirachi's arms dangling over his ears except to reach up and let a little white hand wrap around his fingers, the agent glanced at Kofuku. "His name's Alphard, and I'm not sure. Guess they thought I did all right on that raid." With a half-laugh he detached a Pokeball from his belt, enlarged it and held it up. "Okay. Naptime." Still looking sleepy, Alphard obediently pushed the center button and disappeared inside.
One distraction out of the way. Hayes looked at Kofuku again. "So - Annihilation?" Stay on target.

As she watched the little legendary drape itself over Hayes' head, Kofuku looked like she literally might just explode all over the walls of the room. Adorable? No, it had just surpassed that. "Awwww! He just put himself into the pokeball! He's so freakin cute!"
Blinking as Hayes brought the topic back arround to Annihilation, Kofuku tilted her head. "What about it-Oh right, you're playing it tonight." Walking over to look at some of the books on his bookshelf, she carefully picked up his Dune book and started to read the back of it. "Well, you'd have a lot to teach me before then. I've never played a video game before."
Putting the book back, her eye was caught on a rather fancy looking book and she pulled it out. "Hey, what's this? Dungeons and Dragonites...?" Flipping through it, she suddenly snickered. "Oh wow, I never knew you were THIS level of nerd!"

"Yeah, he's fun,." Hayes grinned with what might be a touch of fondness at the Master Ball and clipped it back on his belt. When Kofuku started to move he shifted on his feet a little and looked toward where she was heading. Okay. Nothing valuable that way.
"That's okay, y- never?" The blond looked at Kofuku, honestly surprised - until she started going through his things again. And calling him a nerd.
This was getting to be a little much.
"Dani-" Hayes started, then stopped himself. "Yeah, we all played it in college," he laughed, but didn't move to take the book from her; it was safe at least. It was well-used, with rounded corners, sticky tabs at various sections - 'Equipment,' 'Feats,' 'Spells,' - and a bit of paper with several columns of penciled numbers shoved in as a bookmark.

Grinning a little as she flipped through the book, she stopped on pages to look at the pictures that were in it; they were really pretty! Looking up from the book, she shrugged a little, having hear the surprise in his voice. "Guess now's good time as ever to tell you I grew up on the streets. Crummy orphanage, dirt poor, went to some pathetic public school, and dropped out when I was 17 to run away and live off the streets." The way she spoke about it was so casual, like it was totally normal for an everyday person to do.
Looking back to the book, she continued to flip through, pausing to inspect the number columns that were in there. "So... how do you play? This looks kinda interesting." A playful grin came over her face. "And who's Dani?"

Such a blithe rendition of what must have been a highly unpleasant childhood left Hayes blinking, unsure of how to respond. "Oh." The blond reached up and rubbed the back of his head, wearing the faint, sheepish grin he did sometimes. "Guess that would do it."
Topic change.
Hayes thought for a moment, then said, "There's a bunch of mechanics with dice and stats and stuff, but.. pretty much you pretend to be someone else and go on adventures. You can borrow it if you want."
His pudding cup licked clean, Switch came waddling out from behind the bed on a beeline for the wastebasket under the desk. The 'chu had a ring of chocolate around his muzzle; he gave the huddling Therac an odd look as he tipped the cup in. It fell on top of various plastic wrappers and crumpled bits of paper.

Careful with the pages, Kofuku flipped through the book. "Really? What kind of adventures do you usually go on?" She paused on one page, looking hard at an image of a female wizard looking amazingly awesome as she took on a dragon, her light violet hair flowing behind her. Holding the book up to Hayes, she grinned. "I wanna be her."
Watching Switch throw away his plastic cup, she noticed the strange robot looking things on his desk and walked over to them, picking one up. "What are these? Do they do anything? Is Dani your girlfriend? Did you have to build these yourself?"

"Uh.. depends on your group and DM. Pretty much anything? There's a sample module in the back if you want to- whoa, hey." Hayes took a sudden step forward to intercept her as she went for his desk, but was too late.
"That's first edition. Can you put it down?" The agent actually sounded and looked a touch uneasy as Kofuku picked up the figurine. It was jointed, solid molded plastic made to look like.. something between a Porygon and a mech suit. The paint was chipped in places and the clear tinted plastic parts scuffed.

Rather interesting that Hayes was so concerned over the thing, and a small smirk came over Kofuku's lips. Raising and eyebrow, she carefully turned it around in her hands, inspecting it. "Hmmm, seems that it's something important to you. I'll put it down if you tell me who this Dani person is. Is she pretty?"
Something on the figurine caught her attention and, blinking, she brought it close to her face. "Alex H.? Oh my gosh, you have a first name?!"

A hand closed around Kofuku's wrist and pulled it upward. "She's my sister," Hayes replied as he gently but firmly pried it out of her grasp. "And you're acting like her." There was still a note of laughter in his voice, but it was definitely time for her to go.
"C'mon, I really need to finish this," the Rocket repeated as he carefully set the figure on the top of his bookshelf where the shorter girl couldn't reach. "We're meeting in the lounge around seven; you can take the book 'til then."

There wasn't much prying since Kofuku let go as soon as the information was given. She made sure that Hayes did have a hold on the figure before she let it go; it was important to him, so she probably shouldn't let anything bad happen to it. Grinning a little, she crossed her arms as it was put up way out of her reach. "Oh, c'mon, like I'd REALLY let something happen to it? I'm not THAT bad."
Turning her attention back to the book, she flipped through it. "This stuff is pretty complicated though... even the starting up stuff. Any chance you'd want to meet a little earlier and help me make my person thingy?"
