With a happy and glee filled giggle, Citrine reached up and gently pet Vahy'n. At first she was timid about it, but after the second or third pet, Citrine had zoned out a little, and gave the Vaporeon a soft kiss to the nose. "You're such a pretty pokemon." She cooed. After a couple more seconds, Citrine gasped, and turned to her backpack. She fished around in it a moment before pulling out a pink pokedex. It was covered in stickers of pokemon and glittery stars. She pointed it at the vaporeon, recording it's information. With that done, she set the pokedex in her lap and pet Vahy'n once more before looking at Rosie again.
"How do you train your vaporeon?" She asked, curiously. She was quite the novice at pokemon.
The gastly looked at Vahy'n jealously. ("Why do you get pets and kisses? I get frightened yells and she runs away from me.")
Suddenly, the gastly burst into tears. Citrine jumped and stared at the pokemon.

Vahy'n sniffed softly after her nose was kissed, but looked touched at the sweet gesture from the young girl. "Va"
Rosie tilted her head when Citrine looked up at her, smiling softly.
"I'm still learning how to train pokemon properly," giggles "at this point I don't think its so much me training Vahy'n as its her training me" explaining this with a pleasantly amused tone, but that quickly changed when she heard sudden crying and sadness.
her shoulders sank when she saw the Gastly crying, and her mouth opened in surprise, her face showing pure heartbreak.
"awwww" pushing herself up and stepping over to the Gastly, not getting to close into his space though "don't cry little gastly, don't cry" she said gently, trying to calm it down. holding her hands out as if to offer a hug to it.
"Don't be sad little one, do you want a hug?"

"Gast gas gas!" The white gastly floated to Rosie and her vapors seemed to coil around the blond girl. Citrine had a startled and mildly horrified look on her face.
"T... the gastly almost killed me like that!" she warned. When the egg had hatched, Gastly had latched onto Citrine's face. Though what the trainer didn't know was that the new pokemon was just saying hello.
"Gas gast LYYY!" Couldn't the human understand that it was an accident? All she wanted to do was be friends. The white gastly started to cry again.
Citrine looked bewildered. "Why is it crying?" She felt like crying too. She didn't understand. Why couldn't her pokemon be good and cute like vaporeon? Being out of her pokeball, she was still behaving.
Pokeball.
"Um... Rosie? Am I supposed to um... put my pokemon in a pokeball? It hadn't occurred to her after it had hatched. Did that mean it was a wild pokemon, and someone else could just... take the gastly? "OH NO! It's my pokemon!" Her mind ran wild very fast and she panicked before pulling a pokeball from her belt. "Um... How do I do this?"

"its okay" Rosie reassured Citrtine, "its not hurting me, see?"
reaching up to gently stroke the gastly in an encouraging way, trying to calm it down.
"She seems a little sad right now, I think she wants to say she's sorry to you. maybe she wants to be your friend?" Rosie tilted her head looking at the younger girl "Pokemon don't mean to hurt people, I'm sure she didn't mean to scare you"
Blinking at the sudden explanation about pokeballs, the pink trainer watched as the younger girl pulled a pokeball out.
"oh, well, I don't know, I've never hatched a pokemon before. I guess try recalling it?"

Citrine watched as her new friend was happy to play with the ghastly. She sighed slightly and smiled, watching. "You... you think it does?" She pulled a pokeball off her chain belt, and toyed with it a moment, eying the pokemon. Finally, she aimed it. "... return?" She wasn't sure if she needed to say that, or if she should throw the ball at the ghost. But the ghost was easily called into the ball. She smiled a moment before her pokedex made a slight chiming sound. She looked at the sticker covered dex.
"Name my pokemon?" She looked at Rosie, then back to the dex. "I know! I'll give it a cute name so it's less scary! Gastly is such a blechy name anyways." She poked at her pokedex a little, speaking softly. "N-o-r-n-s-t-e-e-n. That's a cute name, right? Nornsteen..." She was still unsure about having a ghost.

Stepping away while Citrine got ready to call her pokemon back into its ball, she smiled politely, watching the white ghost vanish within the beam of red light.
with hands folded behind her back, looking down only when the specked Vaporeon stepped up to sit next to her.
though the curiosity of what the Gastly was going to be named drew her gaze back.
"thats a wonderful name!" Rosie smiled excitedly perking up and clapping her hands in front of her. "I think it fits your new pokemon beautifully Citrine, you two are going to make such a wonderful team~"
"Vaaa" Vahy'n chimed with her trainer, seeming to agree with the young girls statement.

Citrine closed the sticker covered pokedex without fully looking over her gastly's information. "You think we will? I mean... I uh... I hope... I hope we'll make a good team. I'm not sure though. I've never trained a pokemon... I've just watched my mama with hers." She idly traced her fingers over Nornsteen's ball before clipping it to her belt.
"Um... Rosie? How do you become closer to your pokemon?"

Rosie seemed a little caught off guard with the Question, tilting her head to the side, and folding her hands behind her back, as she took a moment to think it over.
"well... its just like with people I guess. if your nice to them, and you work together with them for long enough, you get a stronger bond."
she hesitated again before smiling softly and crouching down to put her arms around Vahy'n "that seems to make sense doesn't it. I grew up with Vahy'n so I know her pretty well already. but any new pokemon I get. thats how I'm going to treat our friendship."

"So the more time I spend with Nornsteen... the closer we'll get. That makes sense." She smiled. "You know, you and Nornsteen and Vahy'n are the only people I've met since I came to Kodo." She held her hand to Rosie. "Do you want to be friends? You and me and Vahy'n and Nornsteen?"

Blinking softly when Citrine said she was the only other person she had met since arriving on the island, she must have just gotten here. but at the request of friendship Rosie's expresion broke out into a bright smile, beaming at the younger trainer.
"I would love to be friends with you"
she replied gleefully, reaching out to take her hand, holding it gently.
"VaaaPoreon!" Vahy'n chimed in herself, in agreement with her training. she liked this young girl.

"GREAT!" Citrine chirped. "Oh! then this means I can figure out how to put your number in this thing..." She held up her pokegear, trying to figure out how to add a number. "That is... if you want to exchange numbers." She smiled. "Cause then we could always meet up if we're in the same area. And we can enter pokemon contests... er... if they have them here. Do they? I need to find out. It would be so much fun to dress up our pokemon though and see how well they can preform in a contest." She clapped her hands together. "I'd... even try... dressing up Nornsteen. She might look cute with a pink fluff or some flowers."

"I would like to have your information. here let me show you how to enter it" Rosie offered, quickly showing the younger girl where she needed to go to enter in new contact information, then getting her information from her to enter into her own Gear.
"Contests sound like so much fun! I think they have some here, in the cities. I live there so I'm going to check it out once I get home, I'll let you know if I learn anything! I bet you and Nornsteen would do really well in it. I would love to see her all dressed up!"

"AH! thanks so much!" Citrine said as she watched Rosie add the information. Now she knew for the future how to do it. "My mother used to do contests when she was a pokemon trainer. She was really good. Cuddles won so many cute contests. Aaaah. I loved that muk. I wish I could see him in contests again. Mom hasn't done them since she opened up her daycare center. But I still got to dress Cuddles up." She giggled. "Even if there aren't contests... we can still get together and dress up our pokemon. Have a beauty pageant all our own!"

Rosie looked a little surprised for a moment, wondering if she had heard Cirrine right.
"wait. did you say Muk?" a smile couldn't help but form on her lips. she knew of Muk or course, but none that would be considered "cute"
"wow! I'm impressed, I don't think I've ever heard of a Muk winning a cute contest. I bet he was a real sweet heart."
Reaching out to take one of Citrine's hands, holding it firmly "I would have fun dressing up our pokemon, your welcome to come over to my home any time. we'll go shopping in the city for accessories."

"Yeah! Muks are totally cute. And they're so squishy you just can't help but love them. And Cuddles was always giving people hugs. And you could use him like a pillow and... AH! I'm sorry, I'm babbling." She blushed sheepishly.
When Rosie grabbed her hand, Citrine clasped her hand over Rosie's as well. "I would love to! And if I find any accessories, we can like... share or trade if we have extras of things. AH! They're going to be so cute. I'll be sure to bring my camera too!" She nodded happily.
