"Ooo, the Mummy; don't you just love those crazy scarabs that get into you and burrow around? It's nasty but cool at the same time." Marlon grinned and shrugged his shoulders. "Anime doesn't bother me; most of what I've seen is pretty interesting. I saw Princess Mononoke once; it just amazed me how violent and grown-up it was, and so different. It was pretty amazing. SO don't be afraid to break out the hard stuff; I can stomach a lot of gore, though I'd prefer less of it, you know?"

"Great! We'll raid my collection and have a great day together!" Eolande glanced down at the dessert containers. "So? Did lunch fill you up? Should I make more next time? Hey! While your over we can go through my cook books and plan lunchs for the next few days too." Eolande leaned down and began to collect the empty containers with a smile. "I think lunch is nearly over. I can't wait until it's over."

Marlon nodded and he carefully got up and stretched, being careful that his arms didn't whack into something. "It definitely did; probably the first time in a long time where I actually wanted to finish lunch instead of chuck half of it in the trash. And I'd love to look through your cookbooks; maybe I could get a few ideas on making stuff at my house for a change of pace."
He peered back over at the school building, where kids were beginning to hurry across the grass and back through the doors. "Looks like the bell could ring any second. We'd better get a move on. But at least by this time tomorrow we'll really be having fun and these losers can just stay here, do sums and pick on other people."

Putting the dirty and empty containers back into the paper bag, Eolande folded it up and tucked it under her arm. "Excellent! I'm looking forwards to tomorrow then. A few more classes and we'll be free." With a happy little sound, she stood and moved towards the doors. "Thanks for having lunch with me Marlon. I'll meet you at the front doors tomorrow. Don't make me wait too long!"

Marlon followed Eolande for as long as he could before the crowd swallowed her up and he was being carried along by the tide of humanity to his next class. He felt happy enough right now to take the rest of the day in stride; tomorrow he wouldn't have to be here, and he would have a friend to hang out with. Things were definitely looking up around here.
Even when he walked into his class and stumbled after catching his foot on a desk leg, he took his seat amid the giggles, hiding his wry smile. We'll see who's laughing tomorrow when you're here and I'm not. I hope the teacher dumps a pop quiz on all your asses.

She glanced back a few times to glance at Marlon as they returned to the school. She lost track of him fairly quickly. In part because they were heading to two different classrooms now, and the rest of the part because the halls were packed with other kids. Oddly she found herself sad that they were parting. Eolande shook her head as she stuffed the empty lunch containers into her locker and moved on to her class. It had been so long since she had actually wanted someone to spend time with her..Someone to just...no. It did not matter. It was not something for her to think about now. Eolande slid into her seat and kicked her legs out under the desk. She needed to focus on school...she had to be careful was all...yeah..Marlon was great...but she...no...she had to keep her mind clear. Everything ended after all. Eventually...
