After absorbing what she had just said, Gabriel wasn't sure how to react. None of this was adding up in his head! He got out of bed and stood, frustrated. He was a bit surprised to notice he was wearing the black gi that he uses to train martial arts with. He could question that later though. "Whoa, whoa, whoa..." he said, puting his hands up in protest. "This doesn't make any sense at all! First of all - Nico is your name, you said? - I don't even know you, how am I supposed to fight alongside you?! Second, this whole situation is flipped! You guys kidnap me, and take me to this place in the middle of nowhere, and expect me to help you fight a war against corruption?!" The more he thought about it, the more furious he got at the situation. "What's to stop me from saying 'No', huh? What's to stop me from just walking out that door and going back to my normal life?" He starred at her in silence for a while; he gazed into her eyes, looking for the explanation that she was giving him. Frustrated, Gabriel started for the door.

Damn. He was going to be difficult. This is just like the Matrix. Sighing, Nico put her hands on her hips, leaning more on one leg as she listened to his angry rant. She stood more in front of the door, not about to move just because he was going to say no. "Yes, thats my name. Whats to stop you from going back to a normal life? The fact you won't have a normal life if you do leave. They will simply pick you up from your home and take you away to a facility not related to our cause and you will be tested upon, and eventually killed." She stared at him dead in the face, the hardness in her eyes somewhat surprising since she didn't seem that old.
Taking a deep breath, she straightened up, ready to fight him if he were to try to bust his way through. "You are safe here. I know it seems like we kidnapped you, but we were running out of time. This place was the only place I had left to turn to. Same thing for Maya. Jane was also taken here, or well.. he sort of found his way here, but thats besides the point. The point is," She poked him in the chest, her expression softening a little. ", you have to help. If you don't, your family? They won't be the same. They will be obedient and not question the darkness that is going to come. Please, just listen to me. I know this is all really new and... unwanted. But trust me, it will make sense." Her voice had grown softer, knowing he'd either flare up at the mention of his family, or he'd calm down. She was really hoping he'd go for option two, but she was ready to have to take him down if necessary.

He was surprised at such a response, but Nico was right. He knew what the war had done to people, what it was still doing to people. And the civilians of this city were right smack-dab in the middle of it. Indeed, him, his mother and Cloe too... But Gabriel was no ordinary civilian. He had skills, skills he could use. And if this "organization" was going to help keep the people safe, he should do his part too. "....Alright, I'll stay," he said. "If this is where the fight is, this is where I want to be." He noticed his blue katana and belt of throwing knives at the foot of the bed. He grabbed them both and strapped them around his waist. Once he checked and made sure that everything was in order, he looked up at her, calm and collected. "What do I do?"he asked her as he took a step towards her. "You said that there were others. When do I get to meet them?"

Honestly she was a little surprised he didn't flare up, but man... she was glad she didn't need to fight him. A) They were roommates and fighting them always puts a damper on things. And B) She had just trained for a while and she was a little tired. "Thank you." She said softly, relaxing, visibly relaxing at that. She actually smirked. Glancing to him as he strapped on his weapons, she brushed her bangs out of her eyes again, a constant fight she seemed to have with her hair. God, that was a change. Hot and heated one minute, calm and cool the next. Oi this could be fun.... Raising her eyes up further since he took a step closer, Nico blinked since she hadn't quite thought about much past calming him down.
"Well, it's only 8:30 in the morning so I'd think that the others are up." Her stomach growled rather furiously, making her chuckle. "Maybe someone's eating breakfast. Come." She murmured, turning to open the door. She stepped outside, gesturing for him to go ahead, blinking as she noticed a form sitting outside their dorm. "Morning Jane. Hows it going? Er, pardon me if I'm interrupting your thoughts." She murmured, noticing he seemed rather thoughtful. Once Gabriel was out of the door, she closed the door and locked it. Looking up to her roommate, she stepped aside, gesturing to the other. "Gabriel, this is Jane. Jane, my roommate Gabriel." She said softer, knowing how room 2 tended to be a bit more quiet than her.

Well, it looked like he was in. Was this girl going to be his teacher or something? Or his teammate? Or maybe even a rival?? So many things remained unclear. In any case, she had just said something about breakfast, and he could certainly eat. He followed her outside of the dormitory and into the hallway. As he stepped outside, he noticed a guy sitting outside door in the hallway. He was wearing a white shirt and blue trousers and, like Nico, he waisted a rapier. Nico introduced him as jane. TO be honest, Gabriel didn't quite know what to make of him: it didn't seem like he was "there". Rather, his mind seemed elsewhere, off on some distant adventure or fighting through some awful struggle, and had simply left his body here, frozen, sitting in the hallway.
Either way, to ignore him would be rude. "Um, nice to meet you, Jane," Gabriel said, chancing a smile and holding out his hand, waiting for a handshake.

It was official. The others were up. Now her day would begin to suck. Amaya didn't wish to get close to anyone anymore. Not after all of the friends and family she lost. She poured herself a bowl of cereal, then added the milk, eating it in silence. She could sense their energies, she could sense everything around her, but all nearby plants just seemed afraid. It was odd, since one would normally think that plants couldn't feel, but they could and it somewhat hurt Amaya to kill them everytime she used her powers. Of course, it also did actually just hurt. If she were lucky, Nico would leave her alone, along with Gabriel, but that rarely happened, as Nico liked to talk.

Since Jane was taking a bit to answer, Nico decided it was probably best to leave him be. She did tend to be the more... er.... friendly? Talkative? Something, of the group. Though the other four hadn't been located yet so maybe she wouldn't be in the long run. Touching Gabriel's shoulder gently, she started to pull him away. "We'll leave you to your thoughts Jane." She said softly, leading her roommate down to the kitchen.
She did find Amaya there though, brushing her bangs from her eyes again. "Morning. Amaya, this is Gabriel. Gabriel, Amaya. She's Jane's roommate." She spoke at a normal volume, leaning close to Gabriel to explain why she didn't press further. "She likes people to leave her be. So lets do that." She murmured in a low tone so only he would hear, heading over to the fridge to grab what she wanted before popping a couple of sausages in the microwave and a bagel in the toaster. She worked quickly and quietly, not seeming too bothered by the silence. It took her all of five minutes to grab her strawberry cream cheese and spread it on her bagel, waiting for him by the door.

While she heard Nico, Amaya made no sign to let her know she had heard her at all. She didn't want to talk, she only wished to be left alone. She finished her cereal, then just sat there to stare out the window.

Jane, finally remembering what he was doing after Nico left, he stood up, and turned about to follow her. "Thank you...I forgot what I was doing." He walked himself over to pour a bowl of cereal before sitting down; he then proceeded to stare at the bowl for a moment before eating. He ate quietly, quickly, before finishing and looking at Nico. Opening his mouth to say something, he stopped himself, as if he'd forgotten what he'd been saying.

Honestly at first, she hadn't even heard Jane follow them until he spoke, startling a little. Laughing lightly, she turned back to look at him with a small smile, "You are quite welcome." While she waited for Gabriel, she practically inhaled the two sausages, her eyes glancing about the room. Amaya was distant as always, and Jane... She tilted her head as if to listen, but he appeared to have forgotten what he was going to say or something so she relaxed. Yeah... you could say she sometimes felt a little awkward around her hall mates. Chomping down on a bagel half, she leaned against one of the tables, not really sure if her roommate would want to sit and eat or eat on the go. Usually she did the latter of the two since well... she liked to give Amaya her space. She knew that she wasn't one of her favorite people.

Jane, after several seconds of thinking, pumped his fist up in the air. "I remember now. I was wondering if you wanted to spar a little later." He said, his orange eyes glistening. It seemed that now that food was in his system again, his memory was actually functioning in today.

Nico was already about to finish half of her bagel when Jane shot his fist up, making her blink since it was unexpected. Chewing the last bit, she swallowed, having to clear her throat a bit. "Sure. I'm always up for a match." She answered with a small smile, swiping a napkin to wipe her fingers though she still had another half a bagel to consume.

Gabriel was a bit taken aback at how quiet everyone was being. Was everyone going to be like this forever? We all sort of seem so... distant, detached. Oh well. He went over to the counter, grabbed a couple of slices of bread, and threw them into the toaster. After a bit, he turned away from teh counter, chancing a glance at everyone in the room. So this is the team, huh? he thought. Heh, what a lively bunch.
Then, just as Gabriel was settling into the silence of the room, Jane hopped up in action, talking to Nico about sparring! Hmm, that's right. I suppose they're all pretty talented.. This out to be interesting. I'm kind of curious to see what everyone's capable of. Just then, his toast finished in the toaster; he spread some butter on the slices and took a bite, trying not to look too famished.

"Good." Jane smiled brightly, hopping up from his seat. "What is bad is good in situations where what is good turns bad." He said calmly as he moved carefully to clean up his dish. Realizing what he just said, he appeared confused. What had he meant? Why had he said it?

Great. Now her roommate was quiet. Was it because everyone else... well, at least Amaya was as silent as the grave. Jane sort of talked. Speaking of which, she returned her attention to him, blinking a couple of times as she tried to figure out what he had said. "I think I got what you meant... Maybe? Hey Gabriel, do you want to watch? Or spar with someone else? I can tell you Jerry is rather good." She asked him, popping the other half of her bagel into her mouth. Mmm, she did love strawberry cream cheese a lot.
