"Orion?" asked Europa briefly. She hadn't met him, but she nodded. "Yeah. You have to be resourceful, figure out what around you can turn into a weapon. My powers aren't any good for doing damage, either."
She crossed the roof, gravel crunching beneath her boots, and sighted their next target. They were moving in a slow but steady circle around downtown's perimeter.
"Swim team," she nodded, smiling, but looked concerned about Valleriite. "Yeah," she said. "That's what they do. You know the coma victims? That's what happens when you lose your star seed. Eventually you die."
Her voice had gone a bit hollow. Dying was very much a bad thing.

Eos nodded to confirm the name was correct, smiling gratefully to her ally. Resourceful, that was the word. Look around, see what weapons you could make, discover, use. SHe swiftly followed Europa, happy with the confidence boost she'd received by talking to her fellow Basterd.
...Wait, it was the swim team? She'd actually remembered something? That was...that was pretty amazing. Eos' smile must've been as wide as the Cheshire Cat's - clearly today was a good day. Her smile faded at the mention of the coma victims, though, a sombre nod following. "...That's what we're about, right? Saving people from having their star seeds stolen?"
'Cause really, who was this Serenity?

"Well, yes, there is that," said Europa. They'd finally reached the far edge of the strip mall, and the next building was a squat tenement house, about three stories high - and upward leap. She glanced back at Eos, then took a few steps backwards.
"Just like we did to get onto the roof at the burger place," she explained, smiling to the other girl. She took a few long strides and jumped.
"But then - you've had the dreams about the moon princess, haven't you? Serenity?"
She picked her way past the ruins of what appeared to be a Ford Model T - what was it doing on the roof? - and leaned against a slowly rusting cistern. "As far as I can tell, we're supposed to find her, awaken her, defeat the negaverse. Not sure what comes after that. How are you feeling? You're doing well."

Oh my, that was a...tall jump. She watched Europa jump first, before backing up a little to give herself a run-up. She ran, jumped, landed with a small stumble before righting herself. She was definitely getting better at this.
Dreams? Eos nodded, instantly know what Europa was talking about. How could she not? "Yeah, they never make much sense though. And I've never really...heard anyone else talk about her. Everyone I've met just seems to kinda be...getting by, y'know?" she sighed, glancing at the car ruins with slight confusion. She pondered for a moment whether she should mention the nightmares she'd been having, that were becoing more frequent by the week. She decided against it.
"Sounds easy," the Senshi joked sarcastically, offering a grateful smile, "Not as bad as I thought I'd be feeling, actually. Fresh air's doing me good, I reckon."

Europa shrugged. "Astraea-Luna seems pretty intent on finding her," she said, "And, I mean, you heard what Elzo said? The Negaverse has their queen. They were paramilitary to begin with, but now they've got real leadership in place. Shouldn't we?"
She yawned, stretched out her calves, and said, "Let's finish up and go get coffee, huh? I haven't been getting much sleep lately..."
She trailed off, debating mentioning the nightmares, and decided it couldn't hurt anything. Sheepish, Europa crossed back to Eos. "Though, to be honest," she said, "I haven't dreamt about Serenity much recently. I have nightmares instead. Bad ones."
She took Eos's wide-eyed look of surprise as a sign that the other girl had also been having bad dreams.
"You too?" asked Europa.

Everything Europa was saying made perfect sense, and Eos nodded to show this. She just needed...someone to point out the obvious, sometimes. To say everything in the right order and do the work for her, effectively, otherwise it just went straight over her head. "You're doing a pretty good job as leader," she offered as means of a compliment, smiling warmly.
Coffee? "Coffee sounds great," Selena grinned, although she frowned again at the mention of lack of sleep. Europa brought up what the Senshi of Senses had been too afraid to, and her wide eyes gave the other girl enough of an answer, "Yeah...really weird ones, sometimes, with other people I know in. I...I've been screaming and stuff sometimes, Scottie's had to come in and calm me down."

"Scottie...?" asked Europa, but let the question hang. It was probably a relative, although she didn't really know Selena's living conditions. They were only casual acquaintances in their daily lives, not friends who called each other at two in the morning to share secrets. She didn't really have any friends like that - the latest at night that Dani or Pasha ever called was about ten.
The rest of patrol went quietly, a loop around downtown ending near Apollo's coffee. Europa landed in the alley and waited for Eos to touch down as well before she powered down.
Tallulah Cowden blinked owlishly, adjusted her baggy jean cutoffs, and rolled up the sleeves of her sweatshirt. (It said "DARTMOUTH" across the front.) She checked her watch.
"Eleven PM," she announced, and jerked a finger to the street. "Coffee?" she asked, followed by the more typically Tallulah, "do you have any AP exams?"

ooc|| Omgosh, I must have totally missed this when doing my tags x_______x Sorry!
"He's my uncle," she explained, realizing that Europa wouldn't have a clue who she was talking about, "I live with him, 'cause my family lives out of state." It suddenly struck her that she wasn't particularly good friends with any of the Basterds, not in their daily lives. She didn't even really have a clue who Elzo or Jaimie were, and she only knew Tallulah, Pasha and Lily through passing them in the corridor at school.
She followed Europa down into the alley, landing without any trouble. She powered down, Selena Adams not standing there in a pretty skirt, the overall appearance made more casual by the t-shirt she wore on top, with a sequin bird on it. Eleven, already? Woa. The girl eagerly nodded at the suggestion of coffee, following Tallulah. "I've got a couple," she shrugged, chewing her bottom lip thoughtfully, "An English Literature and a Music Theory."
She continuing chewing her lip, which had recently become a sort of replacement for sucking her thumb (which was really, really embarrassing if you got caught). "Hey, Eu- Tallulah?" she asked, inwardly cursing herself. She had to get more used to this name-swapping. "Do you reckon we should like...do more as a team? 'Cause I honestly...don't really have a clue who most of them are."

Tallulah looked thoughtful for a moment as she tugged her dark teal hair into a sloppy ponytail. "We should," she agreed. "We'll have more meetings, I mean-" Just as soon as she talked to Elzo about his atrocious behavior, that was- "And we'll do... other stuff."
She kept this vague because she wasn't quite sure what it would be. Camping? Wilderness weekends? Trust falls? Summer was coming up. She'd give it more serious thought after exams were over. "I need to take a few nights off to study for exams," she sighed. "English lit, biology, and United States history." AP exams had been brutal last year, and that was without being up until midnight every night fighting monsters.
She held the door to Apollo's open for the other girl and gave Selena an encouraging smile. "Good work tonight," she said happily. "I'll let you know about the team stuff. Let's get our coffee, we earned it."
((I think this is a wrap!))
