Tony smiled and shook his head, saying "don't worry about it. I didn't introduce myself properly, either. That was my fault." He reached and took Ladon's hand, shaking it firmly. "Anthony Darrow. Pleasure."
He released him, seeing how the young man had to stretch his reach a bit, laughing.
"You can keep them as long as you need, or at least until I want them back," he was just teasing, but only partly. He trusted the boy enough, maybe naively, to bring them back when he was done with them. And if he didn't, at least now Tony knew how to get in contact with him. Or go collect them himself.
Not that he would ever strongarm any one for library books.
"Good, good. And in between all that taking care of them and not taking forever, be sure to enjoy them. They're good books, the both of them, and very fascinating. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to come back in, and I'll let you have another look around."

Smiling, he watched as the books were given back and took them, fingers lightly touching the front cover of a worn cover, it’s cover a dark, matte blue with frayed threads along the spine. “I’ll be sure to enjoy them.” If they didn’t offer anything else than entertainment, he would gladly take that. A story that valued bravery and honor was not something he could consider a worthless find after all, and he looked up at the other with a grateful expression. “I’m glad that you’re just as interested as I am in this. You were more helpful than the entire library. Thank you. I”ll be sure to give these back, and if you don’t mind, come back to read some more.” He hoped. This wasn’t even the tip of the iceberg of all the books he had been interested in them when looking at Tony’s collection.

Tony nodded, grinning, "of course! You're always welcome to come back and read all you want."
With that, he let the young man do as he wanted. Leave, or go back upstairs to read, or whatever he needed to do. He knew students kept their own schedule, and if he had a paper to write there was probably somewhere he needed to be. Couldn't waste all day at the library, even if it had already been a few hours.
That room could do that to people. The right kind of people, anyway.
He was glad to have been some help, and took the note he had made for himself over to his desk. He pinned it to his board and made a note on his calendar, then returned to the front desk to wait for any other patrons that might need his help.
