The youma was well and truly dead, shriveling up in the most vile of ways, acid oozing out around it and eating at the carpet on the floor. It looked like a dried husk before long, in two pieces, or near enough. It's body eventually dried into itself and vanished, nothing but a puddle of acid on the floor, sizzling unhappily.

Tony got to his feet slowly, wobbling. He looked at the shards that were once a desk, and the ruined books and computer that littered the floor. His misery was very clear on his face as he took in all the damage, but as his eyes came to fall on Scylla and the Cavalier, as the senshi had called him, Tony did a better job of hiding his anguish.

"I-it's okay," he said, when Sailor Scylla apologized. Looking at her reminded him of what he had heard, and now that the near-death experience was over he could bring it up. "You called me Tony Darling before, didn't you?"

He frowned, clearly overwhelmed. He was shaking and needed to sit down, but the chair hadn't survived the wreck any better than the counter had. His hands were clinging to his clothes, trying to keep the shirt closed after it had burned away from the acid. The stuff would keep burning, if not through flesh than at least through clothing, until it was properly cleaned off. Even residue left on the surface would burn holes in fresh clothes or bandages, even if it wasn't still scorching skin.

He looked around again, bending to pick up a 'please have your ID ready' sign from the floor. Half of it was missing from an acid burn. It took him a few full minutes to register Scylla had said something else.

"Yes... definitely closed..." He looked back at the two, suddenly surprised. "Oh! I'm sorry. I'm so... distracted. Ah! Thank you both, honestly, for... for saving me, and probably everyone else in here."

Laocoon's face broke out into a wide grin as he rested his wrist on the hilt of his sword. "Of my weapon? This? While I can't say it's useless it certainly lacks the kind of creativity that one could attribute to tentacles. The possibilities are endless. I'm afraid all I can do is slice and dice, if you'll excuse the simple terms." The Snare wasn't useful unless he was bonded, and with no Hermes that meant the rapier was really only good at cutting things.

He gave Scylla a bow at her introduction. "Laocoon, Cavalier of the Maze. The pleasure is all mine." A regular Moon Court senshi. How very interesting. The cavalier wanted very much to grill her on the current state of her court but decided that she wasn't in the greatest shape to answer hundreds of questions. Not to mention the fact that their poor librarian looked more than a little dazed. Perhaps another time then.

Avoiding the puddle of acid, he made his way towards Scylla, eyes still focused on Tony. "Should we help him?" His voice was almost loud enough to be a stage whisper, but he seemed to honestly be trying. "Maybe clean up a bit?" What was the protocol on this Earth? Did you kill the youma and then run for your life?

It was very easy for Scylla to decide that she liked this Cavalier.

The senshi of the Kraken turned her attention, however, primarily to the civilian on the floor. "Is your last name Darling?" she picked up one sad little piece of Anthony's nametag. "Ny Da." she shrugged at him, grinning. "I guess it could be." She patted the librarian on the arm. "You'll do fine. Call the cops, call the insurance company, and they should get it all sorted out. I think. I know the insurance companies are probably trying to figure out a way to get out of paying for senshi-related disasters. No luck yet, however..." she stepped over, setting her gloved hand comfortably on Laocoon's arm.

"We need to get out of here." she looked up at the Cavalier. "Typical senshi modus operandi is to hit and run. At least that's how I've always done it." She found the phone, lifted it up. Dial tone. She dialed 911, and left the phone hanging. "Lets go, Laocoon." she tugged on his arm lightly, impatiently. She wished she could just go upstairs as she would have to explain later how it was that she got all the way out of the library without being seen from the second floor. But for now she wouldn't worry about it. For now she had to concern herself with getting both herself and the cavalier to a place for them to power down without being caught.

It was the middle of the afternoon, too. Hell. Youma sure didn't bother to try and make it easy on anyone at all.

Tony looked at his name tag. That made sense. Maybe she had just happened to call him Darling, though it was Jada's nickname for him. Da could mean anything, from Darrow to Darling, after all. Mind feeling fuzzy, he decided that was a satisfying enough conclusion, and he was not going to argue with himself or her on the point.

"Cops. Insurance... yes..." he watched her as she moved to the other helper, and he nodded, thinking it best if they got out of there as well. He wanted to thank them both again, but instead he just sat down a bit heavily on the floor.

Relief washed over him, but with it came the realization that the library was wrecked. At least the front desk and most of the lobby. He would be helping with repairs for days. And days. Just one more thing to add to the extending list.

He was going to be living at the library. Thank god the couch had been spared.

Distantly he heard sirens wailing, and he knew the duo would leave soon enough. He looked up at them, thanking them again a few times over, pretending he was more coherent than he actually was, hoping they would be fine. He then questioned himself as to what would happen to them, since they had already killed a monster and could handle themselves, and this his mind quieted and he just decided to sit and wait for the emergency crews to arrive.

Not that he would go to the hospital, but they could at least help him clean some of this initial mess up. Right?

She was good with the hit and run? Fine by him!

Laocoon allowed Scylla to pull him along, trying to ignore the destruction they had inadvertently caused to the library. Had it been worth saving civilians? Most definitely. Did Tony feel that way? That one was harder to call. For all the cavalier knew he could have just compounded the city's image of senshi as destructive terrorists. Maybe they would even ban Ren Faire with the addition of mystery men with capes and swords. Who knew.

The only thing he knew for sure was that this was going to be hell to explain to the cops. He cast Tony a pitying look over his shoulder before trotting out after Scylla. Exit stage right!
