If he had known that all it would take to help her relax was mentioning his cubs, he probably would have done it right away. She suddenly seemed much more… bouncy. Which, actually, he couldn’t decide was a good or bad thing. Hyper creatures always seemed to get the better of him. In a way, it was a little amusing to see her go from unsure to delighted.

Guess his cubs weren’t on the menu after all.

“They’re not quite hunter material just yet, but they’re getting there. I think it won’t be too long before they start to have their lessons.” He smiled slightly, secretly, at the thought. More cubs to teach how to fend for themselves. It was always fun to show them what it meant to be a real adult, all the while keeping in mind not to treat them like his father treated him.

He didn’t respond to the idea of his kids worshipping him, but he did find it a very satisfying thought. Hopefully they at least loved him.

Chuckling faintly as she moved, he nodded. “I suppose she would find it a little displeasing to share the den with another lady.” He led her towards the forest he shared with his family, deciding he might spend a little extra time with his children.
