She had a moment of self pride as the youma seemed to fall under the effects of her petals. Things were looking up and it seemed they could stand a chance! It was almost like the battle at her awakening all over again.
And then the hornet/wasp/whatever kind of instect the youma was got rather upset by the turn of events and the blonde paled as she watched it shoot off stingers in it's frustration. That... wasn't the reaction she was expecting...
"S-sorry! I didn't mean to!" she managed out, surprised fear on her face.
As Maia moved to dodge the stingers, Lacrimosa did her best to try and brainstorm a way out of the mess. She hated violence with a passion but something had to be done. The question was what?

The petals fell seemed to have fallen away completely and it was only a moment before the youma noticed. The barrage of stringer ceased momentarily as the youma regained it barring.
Crack. The youma swung around and locked onto Maia who had just stepped on a plastic cup near the trash bin. "Buzzzz, starseedzzzz, buzzzz." It headed straight for her, throwing one stinger that another.
Maia eyes widened at the youma, who deemed her it target. She managed to dogde the first stinger, but the second cut her leg causing her to fall to the ground. The youma was closing in on her as she tried to scramble to her feet.
"Distract it," she shouted as she finally made it to her feet and took of running. "Do something, distract it," she shouted running around the trees, trying to ignore the pain the rode up her thigh.

Desperate times called for desperate measures. Shame Melody didn't do well under pressure like this. Watching as Maia ran from the insect, the pink-clad senshi tried her best to think of a way to distract it.
Looking around she found nothing except rocks and she quickly scooped them up to try and chuck at the youma. It was her only option, save to try using her attack again. Qucikly she lobbed a rock it's way, hoping it would hit.

Thump. The youma was struck right in the thorax by a rock. Thump, thump, thump. More rocks followed and the youma spun around looking at Sailor Lacrimosa feeling very irritating. The youma head straight for the senshi, throwing stinger after stinger at her.
Maia watched as the youma turned on Lacrimosa and frowned as it proceeded to attack the girl. She hadn't thought about the fact that distracting the youma would make the girl its primary target.
Maia turned letting her good leg hold up her weight and she lifting her hands. "Try not to move to much," she called loud enough to be heard.
"Sweet Harmony," she called allowing the music to fill her and singing the notes out loud.

She did her best to not get hit by the stingers, though one managed to graze her arm and leave a cut. She let out a hiss of pain, arm moving to hold the wound as if it would make the pain go away. How she was going to explain that one in the morning she didn't know.
Then came Maia's warning to not move much and she didn't have to be told twice. She just hoped that whatever the other senshi's attack did would make it easier to kill the beast, if it didn't kill it itself.

Maia was focused on her attack, watching as the music notes formed in the sky and headed toward the youma, which now turned to face Maia at hearing her music. It matter not, however, as the youma was surrounded by and pelted upon with note after note.
"Buzzzzz," cried the youma as it limbs grew heavy and it wing beat slower with every note that hit it. "Buzzzzz," it cried as its wings could not longer beat fast enough to keep it airborne and it feel to the ground immoblized, though Maia knew it was watching and struggling to move.
"We only have a minute to kill it, " shouted Maia looking for a good branch or something to kill it.
It took a second, but she spotted it. A dented aluminum stick seemed to be lying on the ground behind the trash bin. "There," she cried pointing at the stick and gesturing to Lacrimosa.

'Color me impressed!' Lacrimosa thought as she watched the wasp slow down then eventually fall. A very nice attack, much more effective then her own for sure.
Her awe, however, was short lived as Maia was pointing out an instrument in which to kill the beast. Brown quickly followed the other's finger and suppressed a groan. She was going to have the bash it's skull in... This was going to be such a mess.
But it needed to be done and so she ran quickly for the aluminum pipe-stick-thing that very well could have been from an umbrella had she been paying that much attention to it. She wasn't though as time was ticking down and she didn't know how much long the attack holding the youma down would last. Scooping it up, Lacrimosa turned quickly back for the wasp and lifted the stick high above her head.
"I am so going to need a shower after this," the pink-clad senshi muttered before bringing the stick down as hard as she could against the youma.

Maia watched as Lacrimosa went to retreive the 'weapon'. Time seemed to crawl by, but it did not stop Maia from worrying there minute would run out. She really did not wish to know if youma learned from there mistakes.
She held her breath as Lacrimosa took the metal stick and impailed the youma, which seemed to burst, but left nothing behind, but a stinger that wasn't visible to naked eye, not in the grasses anyway.
Maia let out her breath releaved to be done with the youma and ready to retire for the night. "I would have to call the a job well done," she said laughing, before she gave the other girl a thumbs up.

She was so glad when it exploded into dust, a breath she didn't know she'd been holding expelling out in relief. And she wasn't as dirty as she thought she'd be, but the urge to go home and shower was there and ohgodshewantedtogohomenow. When Maia said something, she turned and gave a shaky smile as her stomach decided that she'd had enough violence for one day.
"Luckily neither of us are horribly injured." That's it, she told herself, focus on the other girl and not on your stomach. "How's your ankle?" Would she be able to get home all right?

Maia nodded, "Yes that is definitely lucky. I would hate to try to explain any extreme injury to my parents though I know it is bound to happen."
Maia looked down to the cut just above her ankle and sighed lightly. "Don't worry I will be fine. When I get home, I will wrap it and tell my parents I strained in ballet. I think I will be acquiring many more 'ballet' injuries in the future. Hopefully I will not have to stop dancing."
Maia smiled, "Do you get any injuries?"

She was glad to hear that the twisted ankle wouldn't get the other in trouble, and that she could get home fine. Not that Lacrimosa wouldn't have helped, it would just be a bit awkward with the whole secret identity thing. Nothing like revealing your home to some one who you barely even knew.
Glancing over herself at the returned question, the pink-clad senshi smiled and shook her head. "Nope I'm good to go!" Hands clasping in front of her, she gave a bow. "Thank you very much for your assistance in fighting the youma. It was a pleasure to meet you."
Now that the ordeal was done and over with, however, she really needed to head back to the dorms to shower. And possibly empty her stomach, there was still a debate on that.

Maia nodded to Lacrimosa and smiled happy to hear the girl was not injured. "Your welcome. It was no trouble at all. I do not think either of us could have gotten it alone. It was very nice to meet you as well. Remember, you have my number so if you ever need me, just give me a ring."
Maia turned slightly smiling, "I think it would be best if I went home now. I've got to wrap my ankle and get some sleep. Still have school tommorrow, right?"
Maia gave a wave, turned and started to head out of the park, "Goodnight Sailor Lacrimosa," she called over her shoulder.
