Variscite's sudden lending to duty set the skirted woman back a few paces in her judgment. She could appreciate the drive and need to satisfy their Queen. It was the entire reason they were doing exactly what they were, after all.
She gave a curt nod, placated with Variscite's acceptance that she had been to blame for everything. It made perfect sense, after all. There was no way she'd take any of the blame herself. Not like she had much choice in what her uniform looked like anyway.
"Hah. I suppose you did." Paragonite couldn't help but laugh in spite of herself, and her agitating companion. If there were any way to ease one's self into Heather or Para's good graces, it would be to play to her narcissistic tendencies. There was little she liked more than being complimented on her physical attributes.
"How fortunate for you."

Variscite found herself smiling when she saw Paragonite laugh. She loved laughter and tears, any extreme of an emotion. It made life so much more interesting. She also liked to examine the similarities of happy and sad faces. Extremes tended to look similar, even if the situations were very different.
That didn't matter, though. So, this girl liked flattery? Variscite made a mental note of it-- but it would be best not to exploit it at this point in time. It would be better to leave Paragonite with that little taste of the flattery a real gentleman could give.
"I was lucky. Now, if you do not mind, my dear, I must retreat to put an ice pack on my leg. Happy Seed Hunting!"
