So far, I've gotten three letters in a bottle. Two are alreay listed here (the husband/wife one and and the Heather, Grade 3 one). The other one I got was one I sent myself! I was disappointed to open it and see that it was one that I wrote! I don't know how that happend.

so i have a question. I want to know if you have to have wifi for the mesage in the bottle to work and people on your friendslist or can you just send em without it?

Well, you can send out the bottle message without wi-fi BUT... it's doubtful that they will go out to any real people.
With wi-fi you need to have people on your friends list who's towns you've visted or have visted your town (people with a circle by their name) for your bottle to possibly wash up on their shore. X3

I got a bottle message from Jewels! Bottle message from Jewels Dear Some Stranger, If you are reading this then you are the grand prize winner of the random bottle message contest! From Jewels Inside was a Nintendo Bench! I've already got the item but it's always worth some bells! What a fun thing!

cassiopeia_starkitten I'm hoping that this thread can be kept and used by everyone! What this thread is inteded for is to find out who wrote what in bottle messages! Have you gotten a message washed up on shore recently? Come here and write the message you got, people who've written messages can check it and if they see the letter they wrote they can let you know! That is unless they want to keep it secret... Also, remember that some messages are random NPC things and may not be from any user. This is just meant for something fun to perhaps bring people more together? Today I got a message that washed up on my shore! Message Listen up! If you're reading this, it's probably too late for me! Take care of things for me, would you? Farewell.
