Eve smiled in greeting towards Luvvie, the ragdoll was a little startled by how hyper Luvvie was at the moment. "I'm good, Luvvie. It is a lovely party. Are you all right?" Eve had asked since she did see the girl trip over her dress like Eve had been doing that all evening.
Eve waved back to Cookie with a warm smile.

"Woah." Kaito peered around Lyoko's skirts with wide eyes. There were so many living things! Err...people, humans that was. The toddler's hands clutched at his mother's deep red skirts as he tried to find any familiar faces. Where was the rest of the family? And...and - oh! Kaito grinned as he recognized the form of his chimera friend, Cookie.
His eagerness to walk over there was pushed aside by a wave of sudden shyness. There were others around her too. Just the thought of going out into this mass of people made Kaito back up towards the hallway. Only a tug at his tail made the boy stop.
"Kaito, now don't hide on me." Lyoko smiled at her son, "We'll go find daddy and your sister okay? It'll be fun." Her fingers laced with his tiny ones as she made her way towards Adrian. "Welcome!" Her voice was a whisper amongst the noise of their guests as Lyoko slid up to lean against Adrian. Lyoko's honey eyes lit up as she looked around, "It feels like it's going to be a busy night." She commented happily.
Kaito had freed himself from his mother's clutches and was now tugging at Deirdre's arm. "What are we doin?" He whispered low, barely daring to peek at anyone.

The little princess looked up at Jaella and smiled for her papa, then when he looked off, stuck her tongue out before diving behind his leg. Adrian chuckled as he stepped up to inspect the cupcakes. "My word, you've got a collection, don't you? You can take take them to the parlor and one of the servants will set them up."
When he looked back, Deirdre was still in place with her hands clasped behind her back. What an awkward wall flower she made. He motioned for her and instantly had a leg leech. However, it was when he looked up, that his pale blue eyes turned silver. His free arm wrapped loosely around Lyoko's waist as he bent to kiss her chastely. "I agree. The castle lives again." Passionate fangs gave her bottom lip a nibble before departing. "Allow me to introduce you to Jaella. And Jaella, this is my wife, Lyoko."
Meanwhile, Deirdre had a death grip on her brothers hand as she looked suspiciously around the room. "I don't know, but I fink we're 'apposed to make fwiends." She snubbed her nose at the mere thought. Friends? With them? The only one she thought on her level was Loki and he wasn't even here!

"I'm sorry." Sophie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and laughed. "Really, you can't slither away from him by dancing! But..." She turned to Eve, who seemed to have found a new companion. That just meant that she wouldn't feel bad leaving her alone. "...we can definately try!"
The stitch witch pulled her 'husband' to the center of the dance floor where the other inhabitants of the castle had already begun to dance. Of course, she was aware that she had two left feet and dancing was never really her thing, but why pass it up?

Lisa wasn't exactly having fun. She leaned back against the door railing with her clipboard in hand and looked wistfully out to ball. Oooooh, this was the worst kind of punishment.
When she shifted, she noticed two new guests; a fae and a little boy at her side. What a cute pair! Her golden-green eyes sparkled girlishly. "Is he nervous?" She bent at the wasit, her clipboard on the ground next to her. "You have to have courage, little one. Just pick someone who looks interesting and go chat. Maybe they'll ask one of you to dance."

Alome couldn't help but glare at the lady who was speaking to Irae. She had become overly protective of her little cousin due to the trouble he had been through, and was near lashing out words that they didn't need no woman to help them with anything.
Yet.. Little Irae came out from behind her, smiling shyly, holding out his hand. "I not shy.. I wanna sing.."
His voice was soft, almost inaudible, but his microphone caught it, sending it through the speaker hooked around his belt.
"I ish a vocaloid, and I sing.. So I wanna sing, buh... Dunno if I can do it here.."
The butterfly at his side seemed to relax a bit. Good.. He was beginning to open up a bit.. It was as if the incident hadn't even occurred. Perhaps it was time to try leaving him alone...
"Irae, I'm going to go get something to drink.. You behave, alright?" Irae nodded smiling, and Alome left him with the lady. She swore to herself, if the lady did ANYTHING to hurt Irae, she'd personally find a way to make her life miserable.
On the other hand, Irae simply beamed at the lady, bouncing up and down a bit, then fixed his glasses. "I sing? I sing pwease? If I be a good boy, uu lemme sing?"

"Sophie, you're ruining the moment. How else was I to steal you away?" Howl knew, that despite that he walked with a dancer's grace and was every inch the perfect gentleman; he couldn't dance. "Do you think you could talk our feet into knowing the right moves?" He put her arms around her in what he thought was the right way--if his memory served him, and it usually didn't, he was doing fine. He paused, and sighed. Why was this so difficult? Why couldn't he remember? He pulled Sophie closer. "I give up," he muttered. "Let's slow dance instead."
For a moment he glanced about the room, before looking back to Sophie. "So tell me," he started, "why would vampires choose to host a ball? Is it a conspiracy? Are they looking for the best tasting people in Gaia?" That was one list he did not want to be on.

Zee was becoming uncomfortable. He didn't know anyone here; neither Stasia nor Maru was here to keep him company. It wasn't at all fair. He decided to make his way over to Lisa. "You seem lonely," he observed, before smiling at Alome and Irae. At last! Someone he recognized. "Hello Alome, Irae. Where's Noel this evening?" He looked back at Lisa. "If you don't mind, I think you could do with some company. My fiancee doesn't seem to be present, so maybe when you're not so busy, you'd like to dance?" For politeness purposes only, of course.

Samantha held Axel carefully, giving the infant a smile. "It's alright," she told him. "We don't have to dance if you really don't want to. Niko's told me all about you; though. I thought we could talk. He told me you can light things on fire without burning them, like I can. Can you really send things after people, though?" When Sammi spoke of fire, she was completely animated.

Jaella didn't seem at all bothered by Deirdre's tongue-sticking-outage. She just smiled brightly, giggling once before looking back up to the adults. "Yep, sure do! I wanted to make sure everyone could find a kind they liked." She offered one of her sun-shiny smiles to Lyoko, curtsying politely before speaking. "It's nice to meet you, Miss Lyoko." she chimed cheerfully, holding her hand out to her new acquaintance.

She returned the kiss lightly before giving Adrian a look of promise for later. Right now it was time for their guests. "Hai, it does." Lyoko's gaze was happy but underneath that was concern. How well could this night go? Wonderfully well - but that was the same for how horrible it could go wrong. Still she felt that everything would be fine. It was amazing to see life back in the castle after all.
"And it's a pleasure to meet you, Jaella." Lyoko smiled at the brightness of the girl before taking her hand. Heat from their handshake warmed her icy hands even after she had pulled back.
Kaito's brow furrowed in concentration, "Friends? Reawy?" Was it even possible to find someone out here...the toddler sighed. It looked like they'd have to try really really hard with this assignment. "Maybe we'll know someones." He told his sister while giving her hand a comforting squeeze, "We can do anythin' afta all. This should be easy."

Lisa tucked a strand of chocolate brown hair behind her ear as she inspected the tots contraption. She didn't know what a vocaloid was, but it sounded pretty cool. "I don't see why you can't." The entertainment for this evening hadn't included vocals of any kind, but a little karaoke might be fun!
The vampress barely noticed when Alome left because she was so consumed on the idea. Grinning, she held her hand out to him. "If you mean it, I'll let you. But you have to be super good, okay?" Just as she stood to sit her clipboard on the little stool she had placed, she noticed Zee. She smiled coyly. "Your fiancee isn't here, so your looking for tail? How very upfront of you. Come on, Irae. The stage is this way."

As long as Sophie had studied the adults on the dance floor, she still couldn't get the moves right. It seemed alot like ice skating. Move from side to side, sway your hips just right and hope you didn't fall.
Golden flaps of material wafted around her legs as the witch tried to move in tune with Howl. "Because their nice. Or at least Adrian and Lisa are. I haven't met Lyoko yet." She bit the inside of her lip. Was he intentionally trying to step on her feet? She couldn't move them away fast enough! "Oh, I really hope she likes me."

With a light sweep, Adrian took in the crowd. It felt as if he could breath in the energy radiating throughout the room. His fangs tingled ever so slightly, but were easily appeased with a swipe of the tongue. "And where are Mademoiselle Darcy and Monsieur Aaron this evening? I do hope that they're well."
Deirdre, however, was less hopeful. She leaned against her twin and took a deep breath, then nodded. "Easy peasy!" Looking around, she spotted a little group with a snaky girl and one with a mask. She practically drug her brother over to them, but clammed up at the last second and hid behind him.

Zee shook his head. "No," he said. "Just a friendly dance." Actually, he was looking for something to distract him from the idea of lecturing a certain vampire for frightening his son. Lisa didn't seem all that interested in dancing, though. He glanced around, hoping Stasia or Maru would be walking in at anytime. No such luck.
Ah! He had spotted someone he knew. The dark elf quickly made his way towards Jaella. "You look lovely, Jae," he said, giving the teenager a smile. Sure, the last time they'd met hadn't exactly been the best of meetings; but out of all the Azoulais, Jaella was the one Zee trusted most. "Would you like to dance? Or are you too busy?" He gave a curt nod to Lyoko and then to Adrian. Were these the people who'd frightened his oldest son? No matter. "Hello, I'm Zee. Howl's father." He gestured to Howl and Sophie with a hand. No need to waste pleasantries.

"I don't think Adrian's nice," Howl muttered. He didn't know why everyone insisted the vampire was nice. Even his Aunt Risa had said Adrian had appeared to be a charming fellow, and she tended to be picky. "Or maybe he's judged me on everything you've said about me. Do you describe me as someone who requires chasing off? Lisa is your mother?" he guessed. He wondered if this Lisa would desire to make him her next meal... If not, he supposed he would like to meet her.
He glanced guiltily at their feet. "Sorry," he muttered. "Whoever this Lyoko is, she's sure to like you, though." Sophie was far too likable for any sane person to dislike her, in his opinion. Even if she was nosy and horribly clean, she was perfect in every other respect. He paused, looking at the floor as if to make sure his feet weren't on hers. "Be careful, though, Sophie. I don't want to hear that you've ended up as some vampire's brunch."

Jaella smiled at Lyoko before turning her attention to Adrian. "Mom's been really tired lately, and Dad made her stay home so she wouldn't overtire herself. Mom sends her sorries; she promises to come next time." Judging by her tone, Jaella didn't seem to agree, but what could she do? She then made a little gasp, remembering something. "Oh! I'm supposed to let Sophie know that Mom and Dad would like to have a meeting with her to see how things are going. Thanks again for taking her in! Mom really appreciates it!"
The purple-haired teen turned, smiling at Zee. "Thank you!" she chirped, giggling a little. "I can dance after I put these away. How's the baby coming along?" she asked, peering curiously at the elf's stomach.

Eve started to get thirsty for something to drink and excused herself from Luvvie, promising to be back in a moment after she found where the punch or whatever was being served as drink for nonvampires was.
She picked up the hem of her dress before going to track down her target at the moment. The toddler was getting tired of tripping on the dress itself.

Axel stuck his tongue out at Sammi, bound and determined to be difficult. "Maybe, maybe not - I'm not gonna tell," he said, folding his arms and scowling. He wanted out of here! Why couldn't he go stay with Demy tonight? That would have been more fun, even if his brother was sick! Anything would be more fun than being stuck at a stupid party that wasn't even fun - it was way too stuffy to be a nice party, he just knew it!

Luvvie wasn't ready to be excused just yet, following the ragdoll girl over in the direction of the punch. "Punch? I'll help you look! IT sounds yummy!" Looking around, she spotted a bowl full of red liquid, and pointed it out to Eve. "Look! Look, what's that?!?"

Miriam tilted her head at the fuzzy, oversized kitten, and watched as Corin scrambled out of her arms and over to the kitten-like little girl, mewing curiously. "You talk to kitties?"

Eve smiled, a little unnerved, but happy for the companionship. She glanced at the bowl, but frowned as it was a little out of her reach. "I think that's it or it could be what my uncle Damin drinks." She didn't know since she had accidently took a sip of her uncle's drink, thinking it was cherry juice.

Cookie nodded, flicking her tail and reaching down to pat Corin a bit, conversing with him before turning back to Miriam. "Mhm!" She was on her best behavior tonight, which meant trying to talk to people a bit, instead of only mewing.
The girl decided it was about time to introduce herself, so Cookie prodded her own chest, attempting to vocalize her name, "Cookie. You?"

"All I said was that your sly, selfish and vain as a peacock." Sophie attempted a sashay that landed her foot on Howl's. "Just the truth. And no, she's Adrian's sister. Lyoko is his wife." She didn't call them her parents, because they weren't. That would just be weird. Really, where would that leave Fanny?
She smiled and danced a little closer to him. "I'll try not to, but you know, they really are good people." It scared her at first, living in a house like this, but even so long as you stayed clear of the bad ones and didn't go on the upper floors, you were fine. "She's over there, you know. The one standing next to him and Jaella."

Deirdre not-so-princessily stuck her tongue out at the girl, turned on her heel and decided to get a drink. She hadn't eaten anything before the party and right now she was starting to get cranky. When the toddler arrived at the table, her pure dress fanned out around her as she stood up on her tippy toes to get a cup of the red stuff.
Then she heard talking and turned round to see a ragdoll. .....A what?! Like the ones she had in her room? Or was it like Arson, her bodyguard? She was dead, or alive or whatever. "Hi." She chirped, taking as sip with both hands before waddling over, now noticing the other girl. "It's blood. From real people, not da bags."
Smiling proudly, she took a big gulp.
