"Uh...Dem?" Zink paused staring at the bow.
"You uh... " he pointed quietly. "People are going to think -your- the present if you don't take that off...um... or other things, but maybe we better leave it in the room"
He cleared his throat trying not to think about Boxer-ed and bowed Dem.

Demy blinked at him, pretty confused as to why this would be a problem. If nothing else it was a stylish bow! The rainbow went well with um...his rainbow. Yep.
"Like...you know? First and most awesome present, but still a present..."

"Oh...um....well in that case, um...bend a little... you need um... un....wrapping..." He coughed and hoped that the double meaning there remained lost on Dem.

It totally was. Z could thank his lucky stars.
"Okay!"
Demy chose to bend his knees so Z could easily reach the bow. Afterall, if he had simply bent at the waist it would have hurt -quite- a bit. Then Z would get all worried and cancel the trip and he'd be stuck in the room again and it would -suck-.
This simply couldn't happen.

He carefully removed the bow and, tried to take as little hair with it as he could despite the requisite clinginess of the thing and set it carefully on his desk.
"There, much better." He nodded satisfied and offered a hand to Dem to help him back up.
Maybe he should have just grabbed a chair to reach it, but he hadn't really given that option consideration.

Demy only winced once, this was a pretty good sign. Once he was back up, the teen held up a finger in a motion of 'hold on a second' and scooted back into the depths of his side of the room.
He returned a moment later in a loose-fitting hoodie, with a certain glowing gerbil plush tucked away in the hood of it carefully.
"Okay! Ready Z, let's go!"

"Your gona loose him if your not careful..." Z scolded lightly, though he was at the same time amused "Glad you like him though... "
Oh god... if it was his birthday, Demy's was eminent... s**t s**t s**t s**t... he had to think of something for Demy. Not that he wasn't in his own way easy to please but...there had to be something... a little more than that. He just knew there had to be.

The blonde winked and moved out the door, gerbil plush in tow.
For perhaps the first time in years Demy hadn't even thought about his birthday. Usually he was pestering people months in advance but this time he hadn't. It was...strange almost. But for now he wouldn't even think of it, too busy making sure Z had the bestest best birthday ever in his own strange way.

Zink pondered looking at his roomie for a moment as they wandered down the hall, he paused long enough to crinkle his nose at a sock over a door handle and rolled his eyes before pausing to ask..
"Would you like to start with desert first..."

It....was a compliment. Or something.
"Desert first? Man it really is a party! But..it's up to you, it's your day so if you're fine with that I'm all for it. Sounds good to me!"
Demy had paused to poke at the door-handle sock. He really had no sense.

"..." he had to bite his lip to keep from saying please don't poke that... and then a wicked thought occurred to him.
"Hey... I bet they want that tossed, would you mind just chucking it so their roomie doesn't have to? Call it... a nameless favor."
Ok...so he DID mean to celebrate too, in his own way.

Not a second thought, a pause to ask just -why-. Nope, like the good little minion he was Demy picked the sock off the door knob and chucked it in a nearby trashcan.
That disposed of, the blonde hurried back to his boyfriend's side and continued on down the hall.

Demy thought nothing of the grin, believing it to just be a product of what a wonderful birthday Z was having. In a sense, he was right.

The trip to the ice cream place was mostly uneventful. Oreo had managed to stay put in Demy's hoodie even with the blonde occasionally rushing ahead before turning to walk back to his partner's side and continue on. This happened, several times. The boy had energy to spare, afterall he had been in the room all day -and- taken a nap. It was a wonder he wasn't literally bouncing off the walls.

"What flavor? He asked Dem as he migrated in the direction of the order window, eyeing the list of pre-standing and 'add flavor to your soft serve' options. One thing he was banking on for a self bet was Demy and... sprinkles... lots and lots of rainbow colored sprinkles.
