Ilyrosa suddenly seemed to be entranced by the pictures of the other kids' parents. Just by the quick glance at Kaleb's, she easily figured out where his wings and swirly thingies came from. Next came BOTH of Nina's parents, which caused the little girl to pick out various things from them, such as the hair color, wings, and tattoo's.
"What about th'... er... My angel person? Diwigence?" she asked as she darted over to Damon's side since everyone else seemed to be doing that. Despite her dislike of staying still, she didn't seem at all disturbed by it. In fact, her tail which was usually in motion remained quite still. Quite shocking for a child that threw tantrums if left with nothing to do for more than a few minutes.
Did her angel mommy look like her too? Or was her skin color the only thing that came from her? She didn't have wings like Kaleb or Nina, but she did have a tail like Bleez and they shared the same demonic parent... If she ever got to meet the angel, would she actually like her? Some people said she was annoying due to her short attention span and inability to stay still, among other things.
"Wha' she look like? An' is she gone tew? Didja meet her?" she asked suddenly, restraining most of her questions till the man actually SAID he had met the angel. If he hadn't, then there was no use in asking personal questions, now, was there?

Bleez studied the picture of Jhor. She didn't see too many similarities between her and her Liberality parent, except skin and hair color. Oh, she did have one of those swirly dealies too, she thought. Maybe she wasn't so far off from being his spawn. Strong and caring, though? Bleez wasn't sure if either explained her.
Since the pictures had been brought out, Bleez had completely forgotten why she'd been pouting. She looked from the pictures of Vaelaeli and Cydi to Nina. She definitely looked like her parents. Revenge and Hope? Bleez made a mental note to try not to make Nina mad with her EVER. She had heard the term "Revenge" being used in movies a bunch... but it usually involved more complex things she didn't understand. She DID understand that one side was always mad at the other, so they took out their "Revenge" on that side. It was all a little to complicated for her. Granted, she wouldn't have known what Liberality meant if Moira hadn't have explained it to her... on more than one occasion.
"What's.da.Wrath lady.like?" She blurted. She was now eager to see what her DNA mom looked like. All the Wrath kids she'd met had the same tri-color skin SOMEWHERE on them. So, she surmised, the Wrath demon HAD to have skin like that. She had to have horns and claws too, because she had them and Jhor didn't.

Most of the conversation of what had happened to the angels and demons who were marked as being "gone" went a little over Nina's head. This was mostly due to the fact that she hadn't really cared about learning many of said demons' and angels' names, therefore couldn't correlate images with the actions that Almas was describing. Despite this, she managed to get the general jist of it: a battle happened, someone may have been killed, some were sent away, and there seemed to be a new angel on the premises. Even with this basic information, it was no wonder that they were having a picnic as opposed to having this meeting indoors -- too much to handle right now, but business was business when it came to the facility. Ahh well, the picnic was a better course anyway, in her opinion.
Her attention was hijacked before any more thoughts had progressed when Almas had started pulling out the pictures of their biological parents. Like the others, she had a bit of fun trying to pinpoint which traits were inherited by her peers from which parent. She wasn't as interested with her own genetics, at least not in the same way. Apprehensive and a little intimidated were more fitting words to describe her feelings about it.
She spent the next long while studying the two pictures that were presented to her in silence, making Ephron a little nervous about what she was thinking. Her eyes first fell on Cydi's image, perhaps for a grasp at the "lighter" side of her being before she looked at the part that scared her the most. It felt a little strange, seeing so much more physical familiarity with the demon of Revenge than the angel of Hope. Granted, the demons tended to pass down more of the unique traits of the spawn genetics, taking on most of the oddly striking appearances, but that thought didn't pass in Nina's mind at that moment. How many traits could she see in herself that Vaelaeli also showed? There was so much, as the demon showed so many characteristics, but only a couple from Cydi. Maybe she wasn't taking into account that her humanoid build was also inherited from Cydi, among many other subtleties, but Nina couldn't help but notice the demonic influence over the angelic.
Despite such whirling thoughts, she only managed to break the silence she was exhibiting with a simple, "She's so pretty." Was that optimism at the situation, or pessimism? Ephron was about to say something, but Nina continued, looking up from the pictures, "What are they like?" There were so many questions in her head, but she couldn't articulate them through all the random, muddied thoughts. Perhaps she should only have asked about Cydi... she was who Nina was here to learn about, after all. At that moment, however, she just wanted to get all the information she could.

"Dangerous angels?" Kaleb looked doubtful. "Are you sure you haven't mixed one up with a demon? I've never heard of dangerous angels. I mean--Patience, diligence, liberality, humility, abstinence--I suppose diligence could be dangerous." Angels were supposed to be beautiful, helpful beings that delighted in giving joy to others. "So my angelic father was trying to free angels... Why do you guys keep innocent beings where they don't want to be anyway? If they're angels, they can't have done anything wrong. Why don't you just get the DNA you need from them and let them go?" It seemed fair to the child, anyway. He was pleased that he was so much like his angelic parent; with the wings, hair, and eyes--but still something troubled him. He didn't like to think that anything should be kept against their will; especially not someone who was just as intelligent as anyone else.
"You keep saying was and were," the boy observed. "If Jhor escaped, shouldn't you be using 'is'? I mean--if he's still around, present tense seems more accurate. Just because he's not in the facility anymore doesn't mean he's not still caring and strong." Had Jhor died in the process of helping angels escape captivity? Or was Almas hiding something from him? The liberality spawn was unable to tell at the moment. "Do you know what really happened to him?"

Almas gave a smile as he went searching for the female angel's picture and then held it out for Ilyrosa to see, "This is Polondraeli or Pol for short, the Diligence angel." He told the curious girl, "She is a very interesting woman, always moving, doesn't have to sleep often, seems to want to be doing something at all times. She is someone that just watching her will make you tired." He said with a chuckle, "Do you take after her in that manner?" He asked curiously. He got out the picture of Vali and held it out to Bleez, "Here you go, this is Vali the demoness of Wrath. She is the second Wrath demon that has been a part of the Labs." He told them, "I haven't gotten to meet her, she is a tough one though from what I heard and saw." He turned to Nina as she spoke and he gave a gentle smile, "Cydi is a wonderful woman. A gentle soul but one that just being around that person makes you feel good, as though anything is possible. No matter how badly your feeling at the time of meeting with her you just... perk back up." He explained, "Vaelaeli was a little intimidating to deal with when I met with him but it was the aura about him, not to mention his look. He made no moves to attack though which was surprising." Almas turned toward the boy that was starring at him in a doubtful manner, listening to what he was saying finding himself faced with a line of very tough line of questioning and he seemed to be trying to think on how he was going to answer Kaleb. He didn't want for him to know about what some angels could be like when they were very zealous so he wouldn't speak of that. Best to keep the children sweet and innocent for as long as it was possible, "There is no way an angel would agree to sign up for what we do here. Angels and Demons, they don't get along... well at least not often that is. When they do its very special circumstances." He spokes as though he knew first hand, "The angels and demons are kept here because its the only way that the place would be able to continue giving life to all of you." "I suppose that your right." He knew that Vampy didn't believe that Jhor got out alive but the angel Coleth insisted that he and Anani were both sent home safety, "What really happened? No... we can only go off what Coleth has told us which was only that Jhor and Anani were both sent home."

Ily took the picture and studied over the features carefully, comparing them with hers. "Yah. Daddy says I can' stay still an' I don' sleep much," she replied softly. It was strange how little she took after her angelic parent. Her basic skin tone and metal frame on her tail, plus the odd metallic coating on her horns were the only things they had in common. Outside of personality and abilities, that is.
Ily's eyes snapped to Kaleb upon hearing him mention that the angel of diligence could be dangerous. How could her angel mom be "dangerous"? Angels were nice, not mean! "Take that back. Pol is NOT dangerous," she said, voice deathly quiet. Obviously she didn't take well to insults to her kin and friends, especially in an environment she detested. Anyone with some sort of sensory abilities could tell things would quickly become ugly as the usually energetic and constantly moving girl came to a sudden standstill, save for her slightly shaking fist.
"Ily... He didn't mean it," Damon said softly, noticing the warning signs of her quickly building rage taking hold. Not good...

"But why--" Kaleb started again, before looking at Ilyrosa. He hadn't meant to insult anyone; he had merely figured that the angel of diligence could be consided dangerous because she was so--well, diligent. Being over-active was a danger to one's self. "I'm sorry, Ily," he muttered, looking at his feet for a brief moment. He really was genuinely sorry; he hadn't given thought that he might offend his aquaintance. "I didn't mean it like it sounded. But--you're dangerous, I'm dangerous--everyone's dangerous, right?" Hopefully he'd calmed the younger girl down; though unfortunately, he'd given his attention back to Almas.
"Maybe give the angels something they want, and they'll want to help," Kaleb suggested. "They're angels. It's what they do. If you convince them that they're helping you... I'm sure they'd want to." He couldn't say much about demons; his parents refused to talk about his demonic parent, for some reason. Maybe demons did good stuff for things they desired as well? Maybe if you asked very nicely? "Maybe Coleth meant sent home in a different sense though..." The liberality spawn looked puzzled for a moment. He didn't know what the angel had meant. "I hope he's alive," he added with a hopeful smile. "Maybe I will get to meet him someday, after all."

Nina seemed to be taking most of the information she was gathering in silence during the meeting. Her eyes displayed all the curiosity they could muster, but she was having a difficult time unraveling the multitude of questions and statements that seemed to be latching onto her thoughts. I wonder if I'll be able to do that when I'm older, too. No wonder, I can see so much of myself in those actions. Is it even possible for me to be like that? What will I ultimately become? Am I really as much of a mess as I feel like? It was difficult to get a full line of commentary through her mind before another string of words appeared, and it happened like this for every thought that decided to pop up.
Of course, there was always one that kept coming to surface over the mat of tangles: Does everyone have this much difficulty with good and evil? Conscience, but it was more than that, at least with the spawn. Was there even a word to describe it?
However, a different kind of question spouted out her mouth when Almas had begun answering some of Kaleb's questions, "What about you?" It was obvious that he wasn't any normal technician, so why was he here? He even seemed to take some sort of pity on the angels and demons that were held at the facility.
Ephron coughed in surprised reaction as he tried to swallow a bite of his sandwich. He nudged at Nina to stop her from asking anything else about Almas, hissing a whispered, "Nina! We're here about your parents!"
She quietly snorted, lowering her head to stare at her hands. Parents, indeed. They probably don't even know I exist. She didn't like all this negativity she was feeling, despite being happy that she finally knew a little bit about her heritage. Happy... was that the right word? She always wanted to know this, right?
Her flopped ears twitched slightly as she caught Ilyrosa's voice. She hadn't exactly seen her friend... angry before, and although she wasn't scared of the reaction, it made her feel slightly uneasy. Maybe it was because "wrath" seemed to parallel "revenge" to an extent that she felt this way, but she also did not expect Rosa to get so defensive about it. Perhaps it was what Ephron liked to call "clingy behavior" to those she didn't want to lose? If that was it, then it was really no wonder Ilyrosa got upset -- it's how Nina tended to react when someone was "taken away" from her, even though what was taken was more a matter of ideals than the actual person, in this particular case. Or... angel, even mother, would probably give a better sense of the impact. Even so, Nina reacted only by wrapping her oversized arms around her knees, curling into a loose ball. Negativity... so much tension... she wasn't the only one.

Bleez snatched the picture from Almas. She was so eager to see the image she had almost ripped it. Vilo was very pretty... in a strong sort of way, Bleez thought as she studied the picture more than any of the others. She would hold out each arm at times, turning it over and making a a mental note of all the similarities. She was completely ignoring the spawn that were now on edge with each other, and the one that felt uneasy by it all.
It wasn't until Moira placed a heavy hand on Bleez's shoulder that she realized something was going on. Her head jerked up, looking from Ily, to Kaleb, to Nina, then back again to Ily. The hair on the back of her neck stood up and she tried to move, but Moira's hand held her down. She wanted to know what was going on. If there was about to be a fight between Ily and Kaleb, no matter the perspective, she'd take Ily's side. After all, she knew Ily and had only met Kaleb.
Moira, conversely, had seen and heard the whole altercation. As a preemptive measure, she made sure Bleez wasn't going to get in the middle of this. Keeping the little spawn in her place was taking all her strength, though.
Bleez wriggled, picture still absent mindedly in hand. "Le'.go," she hissed.
"Not 'til you calm down," Moira whispered back, placing her other hand on Bleez's vacant shoulder.
Bleez huffed, moving slightly less. Her muscles were tense and as soon as Moira let, she'd be at Ily's side, ready for anything. Moira could feel the muscles in Bleez's shoulders getting tighter as the girl looked to be calming down. Best to keep her hands where they were, at least until this little misunderstanding was resolved.

Almas couldn't help but to smile a little when Ilyrosa explained to him what her Daddy said about her, "Yes, that sound very much like Pol." He agreed. Even Almas who was half blind could see that the situation was quickly deteriorating when the wrath blooded spawn seemed to take offense to what was being said about the Diligence angel. He lifted one hand to place it gently on that of the Ilyrosa in hopes of calming her a little bit.
He then turned to Kaleb and seemed to be struggling with how he wanted to answer with what he was saying, "I can't say I am sure there are many angels that would take gifts from people who work with demons." He said finally, hoping it would be a good enough explanation. The blond man smiled and nodded, "I hope he is alive as well." Jhor was only doing what he had thought was best for the other angels, as such Almas did hope that he'd made it out of the Labs alright and that he was home as Coleth claimed he was.
Almas turned to look at Nina and seemed a little surprised when she asked about him, not many really cared as much about their tour guide as they did about the ones that they were meeting or learning about. He seemed for a moment to be lost in thought trying to decide whether or not he wanted to tell the truth or if he wanted merely claim himself a worker here and nothing more. He finally decide upon the honest route, after all he didn't see any reason to keep it a secret from the group.
He looked to Bleez, Ilyrosa, Kaleb, and then finally back to Nina, "I am a Fallen angel." He told them honestly. There was no reason to hide such a thing from anyone, he was what he was after all.

Ily snorted in approval at the apology, finding it decent enough to sooth the insult to her parent. "'Pology accep'ed. So what's Pol like besides all that? What she like t' do?" the spawn asked, already seemingly over the whole incident as if a switch had been flicked. As Nina finally asked about Almas, her attention became focused more on the strange tech than that of her angelic parent.
"You's a fallen angel? Wha' happen'd?" Always full of questions and curiosity about the world around her. It was a wonder how she didn't already know his shoe size, favorite color, favorite ice cream, and other random tidbits.
Her gaze traveled to Bleez and then to Nina as she waited for an answer, noticing how Bleez was being restrained by her mom for some reason while Nina... "Nina? You ok?" the spawn asked, sensing that her friend wasn't exactly happy anymore. That was strange, though, how she didn't even have to hurt someone in order to spark a reaction in BOTH kids... Perhaps she could use it to her advantage later.

Ephron seemed to be slightly surprised that Almas had opted to answer Nina's query. He smiled to himself, realizing just how easy-going this guy appeared to be. This should make Nina feel all the more comfortable in this area, despite how close in proximity they were to the facility. Kids did tend to respond well to honesty, after all.
Nina loosened her grip on her legs, letting them rest on the blanket once more as the tension in the air seemed to lose it's thickness. Although the anger wasn't what had caused the girl to close up, it had contributed to her already whirling thoughts. However, once it had ceased, she realized that focusing on something else seemed to help her mood. As she did so, she caught Ilyrosa's question and feigned a smile, "Yeah, I'm okay. Maybe I'm just hungry." Although she was currently lying about it, she believed that she would feel alright in a moment if she just let her mind wander a little more. Stray from these negative thoughts a bit. Picking up the sandwich Ephron had set in front of her, she left half on the paper plate in front of her and held out the second half to Rosa. "Want some?"
She tilted her head slightly to Almas' question, responding, "What kind of angel were you?" He had to have had a designation like all the others, a virtue he stood for, right? What caused him to lose his place in the hierarchy? Not only that, but she wanted to know the answers to the questions that Ilyrosa had posed as well. She caught a sideways look from Ephron as she had continued, which caused her to attempt to get back to the original conversation. Unfortunately, she was suddenly drawing a blank on what to ask the fallen angel about her parents.
Fidgeting and shaking her head, she pulled on Ephron's cloak with her free hand to let him know that she needed help coming up with a question without even looking at him. She wasn't used to this sort of thing; she was more used to being forced to stay in the dark about matters like this. Ephron caught on, clearing his throat before asking for her, "What sort of things might Nina expect as she grows? Any strange abilities or something?" The spawn had spontaneously grown wings the last time she had a growth spurt, among other things; it might be a good idea to be prepared if something else like that happened again. Nina nodded, finding the question to be adequate enough for her to want to know as well.

As the situation calmed, so too did Bleez. If there was no need to be angry or ready to fight, then she could calm herself. Moira, as a precaution for any future incidents, kept one hand firmly on the wrath spawn's shoulder.
"Wha's.a fallen.angel?" Bleez queried. She honestly had never heard the term before. Bleez could feel a squeezing hand on her shoulder. Moira was trying to kindly let her know that that wasn't a very appropriate question. This motion, however, was lost on Bleez as she eagerly awaited the answer to her question.
To try and curb her spawn's curiosity, Moira added her own interest to Ephron's question. "Yes, what can, or should we expect as they grow? Bleez is my first charge, and I was in for quite a shock when she grew last."

"Oh, right. I see your point," Kaleb agreed. Yes, he could see why angels wouldn't want to work for people who worked with demons. He took a cookie from the table and nibbled at it, finally at a loss as to what to say. He gave a smile to Ily, an awkward one at Bleez (were all wrath children so frightening?) and then one to Nina, though he didn't know the hope spawn, and then turned his attention back to Almas.
"Do you think Jhor'll come back? So I can meet him?" he asked, rather hopefully. Well, he supposed he couldn't expect the angel to come back; that would be too selfish of him. He took another bite of his cookie, and after swallowing, he added, "he doesn't have to, though. Only if he wants." There was a pause in which he stared at Almas for a long, silent moment. He nodded at Ily's question. He had known angels could fall, he'd heard stories about them doing so from his mother. Angels weren't supposed to make mistakes, she'd told him. They were supposed to be perfect and pure. "What happened? You're really nice... you can't have done anything too bad. Did another angel take your place? Or were you a special kind?"
