Name: girl: Shior / boy: Shiro
Which Basket you would want: basket #1 (i think im seeing spots) XP
How many soquili you own: 3 (2 cerynei and one skinwalker)
Teepee: XXX
Personality: innocent and willing to please...Growing up in a tight family circle plays a big part of her life. she would do anything to please her parents and siblings. she loves to help others, but often finds herself stretched too thin. eventually she will learn that you cant please everybody, but that wont stop her from trying her hardest. being a light and carefree spirit, she loves to play and dance in sunny meadows. she hopes to one day find her true love and have a big happy family just like her parents.
Prompt: Prompt 1: (we'll say she is a girl)

Shior ran through the meadow, rejoicing in the feel of the sun on her fur and the wind in her mane. she let out a loud whinny as she stopped to smell a small blue flower. the flower smelled nice, so she laid next to it to rest.

when she opened her eyes Shior jumped up in alarm. the sun was almost set and the field was dark. "oh, mothers going to be so cross with me!" she nickered and headed into the woods that lead her to her home. the path was small and it was hard for Shior to see it in the dark. the feeling of dread hung heavy in her chest as she thought of what her mother would say to her being late. she was so wrapped up her thoughts that she did not see the dark foal walking towards her on the same path.

the foal stopped and watched her as she kept coming towards him. right when Shior was about to walk into him he gave a polite cough. Shior looked up and jumped seeing the foal in her way. she nodded at him and tried to go around him, but there were high bushes and weeds on each side that would poke her if she went off the small pathway. she smiled at him looking right below his eyes to avoid contact, "im sorry, but could you please step to one side, i need to get home, my mother is worried."

the dark Kalona foal smiled but did not move. "i like your coat, its colorful. mine is only black, but my wings are red." he unfolded his leathery wings to show her, and watched as horror spread across her face.

Shior could feel bile rising in her throat at the sight. she had always dreaded meeting a kalona, and here one was...in her way, in the dark, and all alone. she swallowed her fear and stood up tall. looking him in the eye she said, "im sorry, but my mother told me to avoid kalona, and i really need to get back to her." with that she shoved him aside and tried to squeeze by.

the kalona did not like her attitiude...he hadent done anything wrong, but if thats what she wanted, then thats what he would give her. right as the Shior was side by side with him he held out his wing blocking off the path completely. "You dont understand...i just want to play. im sure your mom would be fine with that, so please stay a little longer...lets go deeper into the woods and play tag."

Shior felt hot tears sting her eyes. she needed to get home and now. she could literally feel the danger she was in. scared and panicked she turned in the little space she had and kicked the kalona foal square in the jaw with her hind hooves. the side of her face grazed the prickle bushes, but she hardly felt it. the kalona crumpled to the ground with the impact. Shior dashed down the path as fast as she could, tears streaming down her face as she made her way safely home.

Anything else? i love to RP, and am always available. i have yet been able to RP a horse that has been raised in a complete family, and i think it wold be nice. the personality i have planned for her is one of my favorite to role play. if you ever want to RP with one of my other soquili just shoot me a pm <3

Name:
spaceFemale - Shinju Li
spaceMale - Kekoa
Which Basket you would want: #2
How many soquili you own: 0
Teepee: None~
Personality: I see this foal being intensely curious, but cautious around things that s/he's not familiar with. S/he would love to make friends and go on 'adventures' with her/his friends. S/he would do everything heart and soul.
Prompt:
Prompt 1
You have just met another foal and realized that something is not right; they are a purebred Kalona. Shiori has always warned you about her negative experiences with Kalonas, and how they are dangerous soquili. It is dark, and you are in the middle of the woods, lost and far from home. What do you do?

Assuming the basket is male for this one~

Kekoa had been chasing after a rabbit as the sun slipped under the horizon. The darker it got, the less visible the dark colored rabbit got as he ventured into the forest. He poked around under a few bushes looking for the little creature that had led him so far into the forest. Uh oh. Forgetting about the rabbit, Kekoa looked up and realized just how deep into the forest he was. He was going to be in so much trouble.

"What's a pretty little thing like you doing in a place like this?"

Kekoa squeaked and whirled around to see who the voice belonged to. His curious eyes took in everything, from the black horns curling back from the foal's head to the demonic wings and the glowing red eyes. Oh, no. Just what he needed. A Kalona. Mama had told him so many stories of her experiences with Kalonas. None of them were good. Still...the verdant green foal couldn't believe ill of someone he'd just met. Not all Kalonas were bad...right? Right, he knew that was true. No one should be judged by their looks, or their race.

"I was chasing a, um, a rabbit in here. I didn't realize how far I was coming into the forest." There. That hadn't been so hard. His voice hadn't even wavered much, though despite his curiousity pushing him forward he felt a thrill of fear running through him along with the images his mother's stories had instilled in him. "What are you doing here?"

The Kalona came forward out of the shadows and into a beam of moonlight and Kekoa could see her a little better. The glowing red eyes that had seemed so evil on first glance weren't so malignant looking anymore. They were just eyes. She looked uncomfortable all of a sudden, like she wasn't sure what came next. "Honestly?" she asked, fidgeting a little. "I got lost."

Kekoa smiled easily and let out a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding. "Well, we can be lost together," he chuckled. "I bet if we put our heads together, we could find a way out of here!" he said.

The Kalona filly smiled back and nodded. "Sounds like a good idea to me!"

And just like that, Kekoa had made a new friend and proved his theory at once. Just because his mother had had a few bad experiences with Kalonas, it didn't mean they were all like that. However, his mother was probably going to freak out that he had tested his theory. In a forest. At night. Oh, boy. Though he knew he would be in trouble at home, Kekoa didn't let it bother him now as he and the Kalona found their way out of the forest.

Anything else? If the basket is a female, the personality and everything in the RP would be the same. Thank you for the chance to win! ^w^

Name: Male/Female: Torey - might change upon seeing after pop.
Which Basket you would want: #2 Green <333
How many soquili you own: 9 (All orginally mine, but 8 are co-owned :3)
Teepee: Teepee!
Not in Teepee: Twins Iniabi & Badru
Badru
Iniabi
Personality: Assuming: Male, but if female will still be the same way.
Like his father, Torey would be greatly inquisitive wanting to know much about the world and how it worked. As a foal, he would probably drive his family crazy with the lovable words, "Who, Why, Where, When and How?"
Torey would also be deeply in tune with his family. Family always comes first.
As like both his parents, a childish streak will always remain with him as he grows up. While his father prefered the chase of butterflies, Torey will be more into playing tag or singing along with the local bird population.
Lastly, Verloran's story of licking will forever be on Torey's mind. As a foal, he'll probably chase his father around with his tongue sticking out until Verloran gets angry but as he gains age, he will see 'wisdom' in his fathers fear and take it as his own.

Prompt: #3 -
Light from the early morning sun streamed through the small openings in the above tree canopy, breaking up the solid black shadow of the path ahead. Torey walked along this path, humming a tune he had learned as a child and put a bounce in his step. A smile came to his lips as a couple of small song birds flew above him, chirping along to his humming. The green stallion thought his heart was going to burst out of his chest this morning, counting down the days until he would become a father and have a family of his own.

The stallion and his mate had moved more inland, close to a small lake. This spot was closer to her family, but still close enough to his own family to make him comfortable. Torey didn't like being to far from his family, they meant the world to him. His two older brothers and younger sister, his mom and dad. But he had grown, met a fine young mare who had stolen his heart and felt it was time to make a family of his own.

His mate, the mare of his dreams, had fallen pregnant not long after there move to the pond. When Torey found out, the stallion swore his heart stopped a beat but made up for it by pounding in his chest as he ran around the field, calling out in excitement. As soon as Torey gathered his mind, he had sent word to his parents by bird. They too were as excited as he was.

The usual questions sped through Torey's mind and filled his every day thoughts. What would they look like? What would they be like? What should they be named? Would they be a boy and girl, or two of each. The thoughts always got the green stallion's heart racing and excitement raced through his veins. At times, he would get alittle to excited at seeing his mate's swollen belly and she would have to remind him to calm down and take a deep breath, while laughing at his childish behavior.

The time would not be long now, maybe a little more then a week. Torey gathered a mouthful of tender flowers, a sweet treat for the mother-to-be. As the green stallion broke the cover of the forest, and his entire body was hit by the warmth from the sun, Torey inhaled deeply. Before him lay a large field, a lake glistened not far off and there, laying beneath a shady tree near the water's edge was his mate. Nothing at this time could be more beautiful and wonderful, Torey felt his life to be perfect.

Not being able to contain himself, Torey dug his hooves into the soft earth and sprang forward, racing toward the mare. When he reached her, he quickly nuzzled her cheek and dropped the flowers for her to eat. While the mare ate, he lay next to her and ran his lips over her large belly feeling the movement inside. She giggled, as it tickled her and he grinned.

Name: Draiden (for either gender)
Which Basket you would want: #2 - The darker one
How many soquili you own: One (Dulce Periculum), and there is a custom in the works
Teepee: Uhhhmm... it's very bare. xD [ xxx ]
Personality: Assuming it is male
He will be a very carefree little character, happy to be in anyone's company, extremely optimistic and always smiling.
Prompt:
Prompt 1:
You have just met another foal and realized that something is not right; they are a purebred Kalona. Shiori has always warned you about her negative experiences with Kalonas, and how they are dangerous soquili. It is dark, and you are in the middle of the woods, lost and far from home. What do you do?

The foal tilts his head to one side, stares for a moment, and then turns his head to the other side. Was he sure he was seeing this right? Was he sure that this was a Kalone before him? Well it had the tail... and it had horns... very angry looking horns in fact, and even had an evil twinkle in it's eyes! But when he squinted his own eyes to peer at this new foal, he decided that perhaps its' face just looked like that. Afterall, you can't really change what mother nature makes you look like! So against all of his mother's wishes, Draiden lowers his head, nose working hard, and inches forward, closer to the other foal.

He would then introduce himself politely, with a genuine smile on his face and straighten up to seem less aggressive. He would do all of this nicely, and with happy thoughts flowing through and within his mind, in the hopes of making himself a new friend. Momma had said that Kalonas are bad and evil creatures, but who was to say that all of them were like that? He was sure that momma hadn't met every Kalona out there, and he was sure that he could prove that to her by becoming friends with this dark little thing across from him.

And so, in the forest, all alone with this so-called evil being, Draiden stuck his neck out – figuratively and physically – in an attempt to greet this newcomer. And though it was dark and the moon was hiding behind thick rolling clouds, he was not scared, and he would prove that evil is a character and not a breed thing.

Anything else?
The easiest way to contact me is through PMs. ^^
And I look forward to plotting out this little one's background plots <33

Name: Sena (M&F)
Which Basket you would want: #2 (Lovin' the stripes ~)
How many soquili you own: 1 (The other one is still on her way from Ameh's customs 83)
Teepee: I don't have one yet, but I have already sent out a PM and trade, so I should be getting one 83
Personality: (Assuming Colt, Because I only have females thus far XD)
Having grown up with a hyperactive mother, Sena easily became fit and strong during his foalhood, athletic and skilled in anything that allowed him to get on his hooves. The one problem though.. was actually making him get on his hooves. Where his mother was always up and about, Sena did nothing but lay and watch the clouds. A genius on his hooves, but with the greatest flaw -- lazyness. Sena, was lazy. His favorite thing to do was to simply loll in the grass and watch the clouds. Not that he would never get on his feet, but he simply wouldn't do it without a reason to.

Despite this, Sena's heart is definitely in the right place. His lazyness would never make him hesitate in helping a friend, or someone who's in trouble. Loyal to the death, Sena would first die than let his loved ones come in harm. Like his mother, he would easily sacrifice himself if it meant the people close to him would be okay or happy, and is very protective of the ones he loves. He can be polite and gentlemanly, though quite aloof, yet friendly. Sena's gained a natural charm, and respect for others wishes. Never quick to judge, Sena's lax style of life has allowed him to gain patience, which was even greater than his blessed athletic skills. Sena also shares his father's fascination in butterflies, but instead of chasing them, he would merely watch them and could idle for hours simply listening and watching the beat of their wings.
Prompt: #3, Because it gives a good taste of his personality, and how he matures 83 And the type of mare he'd go for in the future~
Quote:
You have grown up into a full-fledged adult and are planning on starting a family of your own with a mate/fling. You hear news that one of your siblings has fallen really ill and is in the care of Owletta (Sawaki's IC persona) by her hut by the beach. You want to visit your sick sibling, but you aren't sure whether your partner is up to it. What do you do?

Lovely, of course, as spring always was. Whisps of clouds passing through the skies, which were blue as the ocean breeze. It would've been a perfect day for Sena to laze around in the grass of the plains, just as he normally would. The tall stalks would've perfectly tickled his sides and legs, and the breeze through his light blue-green curls gave him a wonder unlike any other. Though something distracted the relaxing stallion today.

It has been long since Sena left home, and had become a full fledged stallion, lovely golden green stripes dancing across his face, neck and back, on his darker blue-green coat. He had taken easily after his gentlemanly father when it came for markings. He even had tiny white spots dotting his rump and flank. His mother however, while passing on few physical resembelance genes, had given him her eyes. A yellow-green, sparkling with life and joy, happiness.

It was with these eyes had Sena found himself a lady companion, who he may have said the least, had struck his heart and was not letting go. He was fond of her, and now, instead of watching the clouds this spring day, he idley watched his mate dance in the tall grass, so vibrant and sweet. Where he preferred to laze, she reminded him terribly of his spunky, hyper mother, who would love nothing more than to skip and dance on her hooves, just as his mate did. He enjoyed her presence, and she did his. Life was perfect under the skies for this one stallion.

Perfection however, is fleeting, and as the days passed, the perfection faded.

"He's sick? But how?" Sena asked, as his sister approached him, slowing from her gallop, exhausted, her normally bright face twisted in worry. "We don't know what happened Sena.. He just suddenly fell ill and came back in horrid condition. Owletta is taking care of him, but it really looks bad.." She stumbled out quickly, as Sena stood and nudged her affectionately under her nose, guiding her to sit and rest from her journey to find him. "I'll come back and see if there's anything I can do. I promise. Stay here and rest okay? We'll leave tomarrow morning."

Sena then left his sister with parting words, and wandered to where he had last seen his mate. His mate was not as strong or as fit as he was, despite the fact she loved to dance and sing. This was her homeland, and he was unsure that she would want to leave it. She was close to him, and he was sure she loved him as he did her, but travelling such a long distance.. He was surprised his sister had made it so far on her own. The beach was a long way from the plains. Sena could probably gallop an entire day and still have some ways to go.

Would his mate be up for the run? Would she stay behind? He didn't want to think of the second option. He loved her too much to leave her behind alone, but his brother meant everything to him as well. Family comes first right? But to him.. his mate had already become family, even if they had no foals yet.

Sena's ears perked up as he heard the rustle of dirt and pebbles, turning his head in that direction reflexively, giving a light smile as he saw his mate emerge from the path with a basket of fresh apples clamped between her white teeth. He trot over to her side and took the basket from her lips, nudging her in his affectionatte way, as the two trot together into the middle of the field to enjoy their snack.

Sena set the small basket down lightly, picking out a vibrant red apple from the small stack, and allowing his mate to take the first bite with him, before breaking the news to her as she went for a second apple. "Darling, there's something I must tell you." He said quietly, nudging his mates nose as she finished her second apple, and blinked those beautiful eyes she had. "What is it Sena?" She asked, curiously moving her head under his own.

"My brother has fallen ill. I must return to my family's guardian to see if there is something I can do.." He whispered to her, nuzzling her gently as she blinked curiously up at him. "You will be leaving?" She asked softly, showing no sense of disappointment, but hinting sadness. "I must.. I'm sorry, my love. But.. I wish to.. ask if you will accompany me and my sister on our trek to the beaches." He told her, moving his head so he could gaze at her profile with his deep eyes.

For a moment, Sena grew worried. His mate had gained a look of astonishment in her eyes, which widened considerably as he asked her to travel with him. He felt his heart beat alittle faster, anxious to find her answer, in any way he could, scanning her body motions, his long trained patience failing him at the moment he thought she may say no.

Rewarded though, Sena was, as his mate full agreed to join him in his quest. Alittle stunned at the sudden answer, Sena gave a bright smile and nudged his mate gently, before a lone butterfly landed on his nose, making him jolt abit in wonder, and causing his mate to laugh lightly, as the two watched the monarch fly off into the field of flowers. Sena gave a light smile as he watched it. Normally he would gaze and watch it for hours on end. But with time, things change, and Sena had changed.

Sena turned his head away from the fluttering wings, and gently picked up another vibrant, juicy apple, sharing his snack with his mate, the mare he loved so, and the mare that loved him back just as much. Tomarrow would be a long day, but time slowed that moment, and all was alright, just for that moment.

Family always comes first, correct? Yes. Family always comes first, even the kin that do not share your blood.

Anything else? 83 I love the baskets, and hope I can join your family ~ I love RP and plotting, and would be more than happy to have family RP sometime in the future. I had alot of fun coming up with this story, and hope you like it 83

Name: Girl - Midori (Green), Boy - Mahkah (Earth)
Which Basket you would want: #2
How many soquili you own: 4
Teepee: Teepee

Personality: Mahkah is a little bit of a day dreamer, having grown up with the safety of a stable family enviroment the young colt will bloom into a nature loving creature with a mind always imersed in the realm of fantasy. More then anything else he desires to be a white knight - the stunning hero of someone's story, the one who swoops in and saves the damsel in distress then whisks her off to live happily ever after. He's a little bit on the naive side - sure he's heard stories about the dangers of the world but he's never really expirienced them and until he does he's likely to think they are a little bit over exhagurated for the sake of good story telling.

As a foal most of his adventures will be imaginar ones - as he spins wild tales in which he more often then not plays the part of hero, as he grows older he might endevor to venture further into the world and live through a few real life adventures - bu will always return home in the end to spend at least some time with his family who are dearly important to him. How can you be a hero and neglect your family after all.

It is not just Soquili he wishs to be champion of however - this guy has a deep love of all life and will undoubtably seek to be a champion for all the species of animals in the land and an advocate of 'respecting the wilderness' and will take great pleasure in aquiring knowledge - sometimes what Soquili would consider 'useless facts' - about the plants and animals that share the world with them...and sharing said knowledge with whomever happens to be around him at the time.

You want to visit your sick sibling, but you aren't sure whether your partner is up to it. What do you do?

It had taken quite a bit of time to get this family thing started - longer perhaps then he had thought it would as a foal. As a foal his future love life had always seemed pretty cut and dry. He'd spent countless hours envisioning exciting senarios, scenes where he, the dashing hero, came galloping over the rise just in the nick of time and saved the mare - and she of course swooned and fell madly in love with him. Her saviour.

It had been a wonderful fantasy and while the truth was a little less whimsical Mahkah still liked to think Sereih thought of him as her personal knight in shining armour. She was a delicate mare and while her life had not been terribe or hard before meeting him she had seemed to be a sad creature when they first met. Mahkah felt priviledged to have watched her bloom before him - like a rare and wonderful wildflower. And like a wildflower Mahkah was slightly worried about the tiny mare - she was in the early stages of pregnancy - thier first and an event that Mahkah was looking foreward to in a ay he had never looked foreward to anything before - but she was small and fragile and Mahkah had to wonder just how well she would hold up to the rigors of pregnancy.

And now? Now that was just one of his worries - Mahkah was not used to leading a life full of worry and he didn't think he liked it much, but what could he do? Nothing as far as he could see. Life as much as he loved it, as much as it was a gift, a miricle...it was sometimes also filled with tradgedy and fear. Mahkah did not like to think of these thingsand it was incomprehensible that his sister would not make it through - a thought he simply refused to comprehend. But she wa ill, very ill by what he had been told and he must visit her. To do anything else would be something he regreted for the rest o his life and Mahkah did not desire a life filled with regret. What a waste that would be. NO his decision had been made nearly as soon as the news had reached his ears - he just had to break it to Sereih.

And even as he thought of her his love arrived - she had such a habit of doing do, her brow furrowed sightly as she looked on him in worry, small black tipped ears flicking slightly as she spoke "Are you worried about something? You've been so very quiet tonight.." She asked him. Had he been? Yes he supposed he had, to many thoughts within his mind but that was no excuse for worrying her so and he gave her a reassuring look "No love...nothing to terrible plagues my thoughts. It is merely some news I hav recieved" He told her - trying to make light of the situation, Sereih knew how fond he was of his family and would only stress should she know the true nature of his sister's illness. The mare could not be stressed right now - no it was bes to downplay the situation for the moment. "One of my siblings has come down with something" And when at these words Sereih's eyes grew wider Mahkah hurried to continue "I am sure it is nothing - but I should go and check on her. It's only proper" He told her with a smile "I am more worried about leaving you alone" He admitted and that wasn't completely untrue.

Sereih seemed to take his words at face value, though the slight pursing of her lips told the stallion that he was not fond of him leaving though her words spoke otherwise. "Do not fret for me" she told him ernestly "I will be fine - there is some time yet before the foals come and perhaps knews of thier impending arrival will lift your sisters spirits" That was his Sereih - always thinking of others. She was far to kind for her own good - truly a fairlytale princess if ever there was one an while he so dearly hated to leave her side - even for a breaths time - it was imperitive that he did so now "I will return quickly" He promised her with a soft nuzzle "Think of some good names while I am away - perhaps in my travels some will come to me as well" He stated with a soft chuckle - names had been a topic of great discussion lately though neither of them had come up with anything good yet. Mahkah imagined this was a problem many parents faced. "Perhaps" Sereih quiped back to him with a soft look "Nothing else seems to inspire you" he teased - implying none to subtly that she thought many of his previous ideas had been less then stellar. "We shall see" He laughed with her before nipping softly at her neck and turning to canter off, stopping a few paces off to turn once more and look at her "Farewell my love, wait for me.." Without another look or another word - fore surely if he looked upon her any longer he would have trouble leaving Mahkah moved swiftly into the night and towards his ill sibling.

Anything else?

- Sereih is obviously ficticious, but she's the type of mare I see him being attracted too, daintly and delicate - in need of nurturing and a knightly steed
- Should Mahkah turn out to be Midori she might become a mare like Sereih - and spend her foalhood whimsically dreaming of finding her prince charming
- I'd absolutely love it if he or she had a close relationship with his/her family - espechially his/her siblings! And i'm always up for RP!

    Name: Yu Jie (M+F)

Which Basket you would want: I like the first one <3 (color combo is pretty <3)

How many soquili you own: 2, one Usdia Mare and one Flutter Stallion

    Teepee: Sorry Dx In the process of getting one <3;

Personality: She's headstrong and works really hard for what she wants in life. It leads to her being strong-willed, but it sometimes may lead her in the wrong direction (she's gullible), and sometimes allow her to be manipulated by others.

First impressions are something that is important to her. She's quick to judge, and quick to dislike. When she dislikes someone, it's hard for them to like them. Ever.

Even as a young foal, she is very family oriented, and with the friends and people she gets close to, she ends up being a very motherly figure.

(I think her personality will develop more as she gets RP'd.)

    Prompt: Prompt 3
Yu Jie was happy; she finally got the life she wanted. Her travels, meeting other Soquili... It was enjoyable, but in the end, all she wanted was a family. Jie met the perfect stallion that was as headstrong as she was, and the new chapter of her life was ready to begin. That was what she had thought, however.

She had been contacted by her siblings that one of them was sick... Even though she had settled down with the love of her life, she would never abandon her family. Her love... Jie believed that no matter what happened, he would stand behind her choices.

Jie asked him if it was okay for her to leave for a short time. Although a little reluctant to be left alone with their newborn foals, it was not a final parting, and he knew Jie would be back, so he gave into her pleading and let her go.

Family. Even with a new chapter in life, she would always be there for them whenever they needed her.

Anything else? Thankies for the chance ^.^ Sorry if my RPing skills are not the best ^^; Sorry my reply is short O: i gets her general feelings out, but I'm not sure how to expand on it x3;; And as the RP shows, I'd always be up for RP <3!

You have just had an argument with your parents because they feel that you are too young to leave their protective embrace just yet, but you really want to start your own life. You escape to find some time to think about the situation, when your sibling finds you and suggests the two of you run away from home and Owletta (Sawaki's IC Persona). What do you do?

((For the purpose of this RP, I'll obviously have to assume a gender and demeanor for the 'sibling', therefore I'll have the sibling be the other basket up for grabs and give him the alternate male name for the basket for which I'm applying.))

"Gosh, mother! Let me alone!" Were Birget's last words to her parents before stomping off into the forest nearby. These were the words she kept repeating in her head, wondering whether they were too harsh - oh, how taken aback her mother and father were! They simply stood there, blinking after her crossly yet so stupid was their argument! Too young? "Hmph!" She stared down now at her perfect, solid hooves. Perfect for adventure! There was nothing about her that could possibly make her look vulnerable to the evils of the outside world! The sheltered bird is the one that doesn't learn to fly, no? And beside that, Birget was now a skip and a hop away from young adulthood! How dare they restrain me?

So muddled she was in her thoughts that she completely ignored the realization that her brother joined her and had been treading along beside her, trying to get her attention for a good bit of time. That said, it was inevitable that she jumped when she heard a rustle right up close..

"Bazilÿ!!" The filly stared down her brother disorientedly, the surprise stunning her vocal chords. "Why would you sneak up on me like that, brother?!" Her brows rose on her forehead, but she bumped rumps with him playfully nonetheless.

The colt seemed surprised as well, but gave her a grin as soon as she came-to. "Why, Birge, I was here all this time! You looked like you needed some space so I gave you some.... Well, time..." His grin faltered just a bit, "I heard you with mom and pop.."
"Baz--!" Birget was cut off quickly, which made her frown.
"So I was thinking-" This time it was he who was cut off by his sister.
Oh, retribution! "You're being so rude!"
"Listen, Birget!" Cross as she was now, Bazilÿ gave her a glare that instantly shut her mouth in a pout. His gaze softened for her sake, and he nuzzled her cheek gently to prevent tears. This action helped immensely, and Birget only sniffled once before nodding to reassure her state and urge him to go on. "I was thinking... Perhaps we should go off and leave! Have an adventure of our own!"
"Mommy and Daddy would not allow it, surely!" Birget blinked at her brother, head tilting like the child that she was.
"I never said we'd tell them! Of course they wouldn't let us!"
How strange Birge found the fact that two perfect teardrops slipped from her eyes then, at the very idea her brother posed! She looked long and hard at the spots they placed on the dirt beneath her feet until they receded and evaporated, like she and her brother would from their family if they should leave! She longed to go off on her own, certainly! But if mother and father let her not on this journey, didn't think her ready, how could she and her brother depart? Not only would Mommy and Daddy's hearts be broken, but theirs should be as well! Ragingly, Birge whipped her tail as hard as she could, driving it into Bazilÿ's rump.
"Hey! What's that for?! What's up, Birge?!"
"Don't you see, Bazilÿ?! Mommy and Daddy love us, they don't want us to leave because they know it's wrong, and who are we to question them?!"
"But you questioned them, if you hadn't, you wouldn't have fought!"
"Well, at least I smartened up! I just needed time, even you said time! I know now I was being irrational! And so are you, right now!" She felt a new river of tears welling up and let it fall all the better to convince him, "brother, we'll take this adventure! I want to as much as you, you should know, but mother and father need their peace of mind and we need our bodies toned and ready... Please, let us stay!"
Bazilÿ was stunned, but nodded slowly, coming forth to embrace his crying sister by means of placing his head on her shoulders. "Birge..." Sometimes Birget was like a second mother, always so responsible and lawful. But she was also inevitably right... "Of course we'll stay."

Anything else? This was pretty fun to reply to. Sorry if I played the other sibling too much, but I felt it necessary. I suppose if the basket is male, it will assume the personality of the colt in the prompt, impulsive and brave.

Name: Shaerin (F), Vaero (M)
Which Basket you would want: Basket #1
How many soquili you own: Zero. And getting frustrated at the persistence of that number.
Teepee: No Soqs, no teepee. sad
Personality: Shaerin is a playful but absentminded foal; however instead of being distracted by butterfies like daddy, this little foal is distracted by. . . just about everything. A dust mote in a sunbeam could captivate her for a while, or she could spent hours watching a squirrel gather nuts – nevermind that she had seen it doing so many times before. To Shaerin, the world is always full of wonderful, interesting curiosities. Unfortunately, this means that the little one has absolutely no sense of danger or what to do when it pops up. She simply does not believe that anyone out there could really mean her harm. Somehow, though, her luck has countered her trusting nature. Perhaps someday, however, she can eventually get past this – her continued survival depends on it, after all!
Prompt: Prompt 1:

‘Maybe I should have stopped following that birdie earlier,’ Shaerin thought, swishing her tail behind her as she looked around the dark, dim woods. IT wasn’t really scary, not like her brothers had tried to tell her it was, but nevertheless it was dark and she was lost. The woods were a long way from her home by the beach, and for the life of her the filly couldn’t think of how exactly she had gotten here. She turned around, hoping that her hooves would lead her off in the direction that she’d come from, but realized immediately that there was no telling where exactly she had come from. The Soquili foal turned in circles several more times, trying and failing to find a clue as to her whereabouts, when she heard the sound of hooves coming up behind her at a slow trot. Oh, hooray, had her family come after all? Or was it a new friend, one ready to play with her and have lots of fun? She turned in the direction of the hooves, and called out a cheerful,

”Hello!” to the form that was coming out from behind a tree. Had Shaerin had more sense and less trust, she would have run away immediately from the foal that came up to her – she’d listened to her mother’s stories enough to know a Kalona when she saw one – but as it was she only took a step or two backwards, working up a cheerful smile for the other foal. “Hi, mister Kalona! I’m Shaerin, and I’m lost. What’s your name? Do you wanna be friends? Are you lost too? Do you need help getting home? I live by the ocean, where do you live?”

The Kalona foal snorted and stomped a hoof, long tail lashing behind it. “Why aren’t you scared of me?” He asked impatiently though there was a little bit of hesitancy behind his complaint – he had yet to run into a foal that wasn’t terrified of him, and though it didn’t show very well, the Kalona was more than a little intimidated by the fact that this filly wasn’t afraid of him, despite knowing clearly what he was.

For her part, Shaerin blinked and smiled, taking a few steps closer. This Kalona wasn’t scary at all – she knew her mother had been wrong! “Why should I be scared? You’re younger’n me, and I’m bigger! Plus you seem nice! Let’s be friends!” She bounced around on her hooves for a minute, trotting in circles now around the Kalona. ”We’ll be friends and you can come home with me and my mother will see that you’re nice, just like everyone’s nice and she’ll believe me, and we’ll be the bestest of best friends ever!”

The Kalona snorted, stamping a hoof and backing away slightly now, himself. “You’re crazy,” he said flatly, eying the filly with a wary eye. “You’re crazy, and weird, and no fun to mess with. I’m out of here!” He declared, taking off and vanishing into the forest as quickly as he’d come, leaving Shaerin standing there after him, a frown on her face.

“That’s not how you say good-bye,” she complained, then shook her head and stamped a hoof, snorting. Turning around again, she saw a firefly glow in the distance, and she squealed with delight, taking off after it, all thoughts of the Kalona foal vanished from her mind. “Wait, mister firefly! Wait for meeee! Let’s be friends!”

Anything else? Obviously, this little foal has no sense of self-preservation. Someday this will cause her trouble, but it’s also one of her more endearing personality traits. Also, I would like to thank you for the chance at winning a basket!

Name: Female- Dahlia/ Male- Russle
Which Basket you would want: #2 and #1
How many soquili you own: 2.5
Teepee: Here
Personality: Independent with a need to be seen as competent and strong. Once her mind is set on something, she stubbornly clings to the idea until something happens to prove her wrong. In which case she will go off to quietly sulk by some running water, the sound calms her, until she feels right once more.
Prompt: #2

Cool water caressed the bottoms Dahlia’s legs as she stood on the shallow banks of a creek. In contrast to the cool water, hot tears of frustration trailed down her cheeks. The tiny droplets falling to be swept away by the cool water.

She was a filly on the cusp of adulthood. In no time, she would be a fully grown mare who’d need to venture out in to the world and create her own trail. But how could she do this if she did not acquire the needed life experiences? And how could she get those if her parents wouldn’t let her go?

They were so protective, always watching her and her siblings as they frolicked amongst the vegetation. Their watchful gaze had always been a comfort when she had been young. As long as they watched her back, she felt like nothing could harm her.

But now, that protective gaze felt more like a burden. Like they did not think she could take care of herself. Deep inside herself, she knew that such thoughts weren’t true. But it did not stop herself from thinking them.

A soft rustling drew her attention from her thoughts. When she looked up, it was to gaze into a face that looked much like her own. A face filled with concern, and understanding.

“We could leave,” said her brother, breaking the silence that had hung in the air.

It was true, they could leave. It’d be easy enough to slip off. Sure their parents would follow, but there were places the two foals could hide. Places the two adults could not reach. But could she do that to her parents? Could she leave them to worry about what had befallen their children? To wonder if they had died?

“No,” responded Dahlia as she shook her head. She offered a shaky smile to her brother. “I’ll just have to prove to them that they can trust me.”

Anything else?
Thank you for this opportunity! ^^

Name: (m) Korem or (f) Koren
Which Basket you would want: hard decision, but i guess #1 smile
How many soquili you own: Only one custom on the way
Teepee: N/A
Personality: Temper: Unorthodox
They are unusual to say the least. Thinks "out of the box" and isn't quick to judge others by appearance alone. Not necessarily adventurous, but loves to be outdoors and travel. Especially to what some would call "creepy" places. The darker the better, loves where mysteries may lie. Loves mom and dad, but isn't fond of authority so there is also a predominant rebellious air about.
Prompt:
Prompt 1:
You have just met another foal and realized that something is not right; they are a purebred Kalona. Shiori has always warned you about her negative experiences with Kalonas, and how they are dangerous soquili. It is dark, and you are in the middle of the woods, lost and far from home. What do you do?
for the sake of this entry I will act as if it is a girl
-It had been another typical day. Mother and father enjoying the butterfly chasing as always. It was always fun watching them revert to their childhood. Then something averted mother's attention. There had been rumors of a rouge kalona in the near by woods. This of coarse put her into a rant on how they are nothing but trouble....blah blah blah. She directed most of this rant at me. Knowing how Im always in the woods discovering new places everyday. I tried tuning her out, but it just wasn't working this time. I shrugged her off when she finally paused; taking this opportunity I decided to go to the near by hill over-looking the woods.
I lay there for a few hours, mother's words echoing in my head ~Stay away from Kalonas...they are nothing but trouble~. What did she know anyways?! Not everyone is the same, just because you have a bad experience with one kalona doesn't make them all bad!! You can't brand someone just because of how they look!! *ugh!!* she makes me so mad sometimes. The next thing I knew the sun was setting and I was running of to the woods. I was always able to clear my head with nightly strolls.
I soon found myself in a new area with barren trees and the whole area gave off an erie feel. My favorite!! I ventured further and basked in the darkness that surrounded me. I'd guess a few more hours passed as I ventured further in. I soon found myself stopped at the biggest tree I'd ever seen! As I looked around I realized I didn't pay attention to my path. I stood there trying to visualize how I got there...did I go right at the dead tree or left... Mid-thought a sound I was un-familar with reached my ears from the direction of the tree.
I inched around to the side and saw another foal sitting there, he looked different.
I'd never seen one like him. I slowly approached and as I did he just glared at me. I noticed he was holding his hoof, it appeared to be swollen. I moved a little closer, "Umm...are you alright? Do you need help?", I asked. I got nothing but a harsher snarl as a response. I moved closer and found a big leaf and some twigs and cautiously attempted to tend to the sprained hoof of this mysterious foul. At first he just flinched and tried to move away only to fall. I giggled a bit, but the straightened my expression and moved closer again. "You shouldn't move like that, please let me help you.", I smiled gently. "Why do You want to help ME!? Your kind hate me!"
, he suddenly yelled at me.
I was taken a back at first, but just smiled at me. I realized then he must be a Kalona, possibly the one spotted near my village. "I don't hate you...how can I hate someone I've never met? Now let me see to your hoof." He just stared dumb founded at me as I tended to his wound. When I was done I stepped back and saw he had a sollum look on his face. I was saddened by his expression. "Are you in pain?"
He looked at me, a single tear catching the light of the moon. He quickly straightened his expression,
"Umm...no....it's just I don't know how to get home. I think it's north of here, but Im not sure and I can't walk very well." I smiled to myself and walked closer and help him up and had him lean on me. "I'll help you get home. No worries. By the way I'm Koren." We started to walk a bit and he finally responded, "Rider..."
We continued north for a few hours. It had to be around midnight now and it was getting colder. I realized my parents would be worried about me and I'd be in serious trouble when I got back. I tried not to think about it while walking and talking with Rider. He told me how he got hurt. He had ventured off and got lost and found my village. He was going to ask for help, but got scared when called out to by an adult seemingly yelling at him. When he got to the woods he tripped over a dead tree and twisted his ankle and was able to limp to the tree where I found him.
We finally came upon other Kalona's which happened to be his parents. At first I didn't know what to do. His mother looked at me with high suspicion, but after hearing Rider's story they thanked me. I wanted to head home, but they insisted I stay for the night considering how late it was.
I awoke next morning with Rider waiting for me with food. Boy was my mother completly wrong about them. I was right not to judge Rider for what he is rather then who he is. After eating his Father elected to walk to through the woods home.
You can imagine my mother's expression when she saw me come from behind the trees with a Kalona. She soon put it aside and ran towards me to see if I was alright, but more so to scold me. After I told her what happened her face was blank and she turned to talk to my father. Will her view of all Kalona's change now...only time will tell. I'm sure if anything it might be a very long and slow process.
It's true what they say....."NEVER judge a book by it's cover!"

Anything else?: Not really....if I'm picked Id kinda hope more for a girl.
It's longer then I thought and could be better....My idea came and went while typing so...ya

-Good luck to all-

Name: Jamarion if a boy, Nanami if a girl
Which Basket you would want: #2
How many soquili you own: Divena: 1, DivenasMom: 0
Teepee: NA
Personality: He's very adventuresome, constantly seeking out new things to do. Rarely putting much thought into anything, he's very much the "jump first, think later... if I get bored" type.
Prompt:

Quote:
Prompt 1:
You have just met another foal and realized that something is not right; they are a purebred Kalona. Shiori has always warned you about her negative experiences with Kalonas, and how they are dangerous soquili. It is dark, and you are in the middle of the woods, lost and far from home. What do you do?

Jamarion bounded through the trees without a care in the world, which was, truthfully, his natural state of being. It wasn’t until he had finished singing the song that had been going round and round in his head that he realized he had no clue where he was. Again, this was a natural state of being for him. He was all set to try and back track, if he could remember where he’d come from, when a rustling caught his attention.

A grin spread across his face as a grand idea bloomed in his mind. Crouching low, he creeped through the foliage, following the mysterious sound, all the while he ran commentary in his mind.

And so the mighty Jamarion critter stalks toward its prey. Ain’t it a beaut? Nothing more efficient in the whole of the natural world….

His silent commentary was brought up short when he stumbled upon the source of the rustling. In a small clearing, not too far from where the green colt was hiding, was the strangest foal he had ever seen. She was blood red with some sort of horns coming out of her head and the oddest wings!

Now, young Jamarion hadn’t really seen many others of his kind before, but he’d heard about the various different races. Mother had given him many warnings about the Kalonas in particular, but there was no way this other foal could be one of those things! Right? Right! Before common sense could break pattern and reign supreme, he bounded out of the bushes.

“Hi!” he greeted the other foal, cheerfully. “I’m Jamarion, what are you?”

The foal froze midstep and stared at him for a moment, as though he had just done something inconceivable. That was fine. Jamarion was used to such expressions on other people. Though usually it was mixed with a bit of horror also, which he never really understood. Really, other people were just too whimpy to handle his special brand of fun… but he was getting distracted.

“Don’t you mean who am I?” the other foal asked, her voice musical. And it was a girl, Jamarion decided. She was too delicate and pretty to be a boy.

“Sure, that too,” Jamarion agreed, still cheerfully.

“I…. am Ianata,” she answered cautiously, as though she suspected he was up to something unpleasant. That was fine. He’d show her he wasn’t in just a minute. “I’m a Kalona. Do you know what that is?”

Yes, he did. All of his mother’s warnings about the dark race were racing through his mind, along with her orders to run if he should ever meet one. But this was just a foal, like him. What harm could she possibly do? And besides, she looked as lost as he was!

“Nope,” he lied, simply because it would take too long and be far too boring to tell her the truth. “Are you lost? I’ll bet you’re lost. I’m not,” another lie but that was fine so long as they had fun, “want me to help you find your way home? Great! Let’s go this way!” He started off in a random direction, without waiting for her to respond. Talking was boring. Exploring was fun.

When he didn’t hear hoofsteps echoing his own, he paused to glance back, only to find that she hadn’t moved. Once again, Ianata was just staring after him. Oh dear. He must have done something shocking again. One day he was going to make an effort to figure out what, exactly, it was about him that kept bringing those expressions to people’s faces. But not now. Right now there was a game afoot!

“Are you coming?” he coaxed, wondering if perhaps his new friend wasn’t a touch slow. Well, that could be fine, so long as she knew how to have fun.

“Ah… y…yes,” she answered, uncertainly. Almost hesitantly, she followed him. Absently, he noticed the fluid grace with which she walked. He almost detected a dark, thoughtful glint in her eyes, as though she was thinking of something sinisterly fun. Well, that could be great, too, so long as she shared with him eventually.

“Great!” he chirped as he started walking again. “Where are we going? To your parents? Are they nearby? There’s a river somewhere around here, would they be around there?”

“You talk too much,” Ianata decided suddenly, frowning at him. Well, that wouldn’t do. Frowns meant that she wasn’t having fun!

“Sorry, want me to shut up? Cuz I can shut up,” he assured her, chattering rather happily. He believed in leading by example, after all. If he was happy, she’d be happy. Probably. And one day, his theory would prove to be true rather than just annoying to those around him. Though… annoying people could be fun in its own way. Really, adults just kept too many things bottled up. They needed to let lose sometimes. That was why they got so frustrated with him, he was sure.

“What of you?” Ianata asked, reminding him of the current game. “Are your parents nearby?”

“Nope,” he answered carelessly. “They’re off somewhere outside the forest… probably. I don’t know where they are, I just know where I am.”

“And where is that?”

“Here, with you,” he flashed her an easy grin, trying to encourage her to smile as well. She did, but the expression was far from comforting. In fact, Jamarion suddenly felt somewhat like a mouse facing down a cat. He didn’t particularly care for the feeling.

“So you’re all alone?” Ianata asked, slinking toward him. And really, slinking was the only way to describe her movements. How could a horse seem so… snake-ish?

“No,” he drew out the sound carefully. “You’re here too, remember?”

“I haven’t forgotten,” she assured him, her grin growing a bit wider. “And you wanted to play a game, yes?”

Now she was talking his language! “Did you have one in mind?”

“Yes, it’s a game where you run and I catch you,” she told him.

“Like tag,” Jamarion guessed. That was good. He liked tag.

“Yes, like tag,” Ianata agreed. “Only you don’t get to be it if I catch you. You get to be dead.”

“Dead?” Jamarion didn’t quite frown. He never frowned, but he was rather perplexed. Being dead sounded dangerous and not all that fun…. “I don’t think I like that idea. How about a different rule?”

Rather than answering, Ianata lunged at him, her sharp teeth snapping for his through. Instincts kicked in and, heart racing and adrenaline pumping through his veins, Jamarion RAN. He raced through the trees, his thin legs moving faster than they had ever moved before. His mind, for once, was an utter blank as he heard his pursuer chasing behind him. An unfamiliar emotion flooded through him, causing his breath to seize.

And then, suddenly, the forest was silent save for the sounds he made crashing through the foliage. A short moment later, he broke free of the trees and into open air. He continued running for several minutes, until he stumbled into a stream. Unable to run another foot, he collapsed into the cool water and drank deeply. A little too deeply, he decided as he nearly inhaled a mouthful.

When the coughing subsided, he looked around quickly to see if Ianata was there, but the filly was gone. Maybe he outraced her, or maybe she merely grew bored with chasing him. He wasn’t certain and, really, it didn’t matter. He was still alive. Hysterical laughter bubbled up as he flopped into the water, trying to catch his breath.

Next time, he decided, he would listen to his mother’s words of wisdom. Next time, he wouldn’t play with a Kalona…. Oh…. Who was he kidding? He knew better than anyone else that he’d do something stupid like that again because… really…. That had been the best game ever!

Anything else? This prompt was a joint effort between me and my mother (DivenasMom, real creative name, eh? X-D) and, if it's alright, I'd like to co-own with her ^_^ Other than that, thank you for the opportunity! (Divvy's Mom: Thank you!)

Name: Cadmium (For male or female)
Which Basket you would want: Numbah 2~ So pretty.
How many soquili you own: 11 (9 fully, 3 co-owned)
Teepee: [Click!] - This isn't fully updated yet. xD
Personality: Despite being overly curious at her core, Cadmium is incredibly insecure and unsure of her place in the world outside of her family and Owletta. She longs so very much to see all that the wide world offers, but feels she can't do it alone. Whether that means getting her Father to go with her, her mother, or a sibling; she doesn't care. So long as she has someone to help her along and share the experience with her she's up for anything.
Prompt: #2

Cadmium sat on the far side of the area Owletta and her family shared. She sat in the squashy mud from the fresh rain sniffling and sobbing. All she'd wanted was for one of them to take the time to go exploring with her! But no. They were "busy" and "trying to do other things Cadmium, please go explore on your own." They never understood! They never even tried to!

The rebellious voice of a growing filly sounded these things over and over in her mind. Logically she knew they did. That they tried their best to give her the confidence she needed to do the things she wanted to do so badly. But try using logic on a young girl. Stamping a hoof, she turned and craned her green neck to peer at what her parents were doing. Sure enough, despite her wailing and fleeing from them, they were still busy doing whatever it was they felt needed to get done so badly.

They hadn't even stopped to see if she was going to be okay! Huffing again, Cadmium could feel another bout of sobbing and pity-partying coming around when a soft "thuck" in the mud warned her there was someone behind her. Could it be? Were they done?

"Daddy?!" She was so excited the green filly nearly tripped headlong into the mud as she threw herself up and spun around. Gaining her composure, she giggled with glee that at least one of them had decided she deserved more attention than chores. Her mouth turned right upside down in a pout as she flopped her rump back down in the mud with another little cry. It wasn't her father. It was her obnoxious brother.

Picking her crying back up right where she'd left it, she frowned at her brother's legs. "Whudda you want?" The look and attitude wasn't becoming on her, but she didn't care. He circled around her once, swagger in his step, before turning his mouth to her ear and whispering gently into it.

"... Wanna run away?"

Cadmium wasn't sure. She was angry, feeling dejected, and tired of waiting around for her parents ... But was that really a good enough excuse to leave forever? Forever forever? Looking up with a tear-streaked face and pleading eyes, she questioned where they would go.

"Wherever we want," he answered gleefully. "Everything we could ever want to see. YOU could want to see! Without Mom and Dad telling us it's not safe."

A flutter formed in her heart and a very small smile cracked her facade of pity and sulleness. "Really?" She still wasn't sure it was a good idea, but in her lack of logic she could already feel new wind in her mane and exotic water spray at her feet. Taking a gulp she looked to her brother. Did he mean it? For reals? Standing up, she glanced this way and that before looking at him expectantly. "Can we go to a beach first?" Eyes now filled with wonder, she beamed at him and batted her lashes as best she could.

When a shrug was her answer, she darted off in the direction of her parents. Stopping full stumble before them, she nuzzled both and reached as best she could to give them both kisses before darting back in the direction of her waiting sibling.

"We're gonna go play now!" Cadmium called over her shoulder! It was best they not know she wouldn't be coming back. As she ran, the last little tear rolled down her cheek.

No fear.

Anything else? UH. I hope I'm not too late. xD

Name:Bardess Ookami
Which Basket you would want: The white and gold, please.
How many soquili you own: An adult normal Soq and a familiar
Teepee: Don't have one yet
Personality: too bighearted for her own good.
Prompt:
Quote:
Prompt 3:
You have grown up into a full-fledged adult and are planning on starting a family of your own with a mate/fling. You hear news that one of your siblings has fallen really ill and is in the care of Owletta (Sawaki's IC persona) by her hut by the beach. You want to visit your sick sibling, but you aren't sure whether your partner is up to it. What do you do?

It had started out as one of the most joyous days of her life. Her first thoughts upon waking up were remembering the words of her beloved before she fell into slumber's warm embrace. He loved her, and he had agreed to start a family with her. They would be as one, a team inseparable. She had awoken with the warmth of his words nestled in her heart like the ember that keeps a fire going on a cold day. It was comfort and love.

How could a day that started out so wonderfully have ended so poorly?

News reached her that Owletta was caring for one of her siblings who had taken ill. All at once time and her heart had both frozen. No... she couldn't loose her brother, she couldn't. Like a swift kick, her heart started up again, into full gear. She looked for her beloved, panicked, then remembered that he had gone to prepare. He was going to make a feast for her, a private celebration of their bonding. All the details were to be a surprise, she didn't have a clue where he was!

She couldn't hunt for him. Her brother needed her now. Grabbing a twig she sketched out a fast note to him in the place where they had promised to meet. She hated how long it took, but she could not let him think he'd been abandoned. Grabbing some berries, she filled in the gouges she made, so the words would hopefully last, then she turned on her heel and made for the beach.

Her sides heaved as she ran, mane slapping her neck, wet with exertion. Her mate would come, she knew he would. He would be there for her family, taking them as his own. If he was the stallion she thought he knew he'd come... right?

All worry over her beloved flew from her head as she took the final turn and saw her brother. Family came first, would always come first, and she knew that her beloved would understand that and would agree. After all, she fell for him for a reason...

Anything else? I just guessed at what her mate would be like. She's very very big hearted. so I could see her just as easily falling for some one else, just because he needs her.

Name: Female: Vida (Means life in latin and knowledge in Sanskrit… not to mention it’s very similar to my very inspiring dance teacher’s name 8D)
Male: Ka’eo (Mean strong, zealous and full of knowledge)
Which Basket you would want: Basket #1

How many soquili you own: 0.5 – Co-owning Nalini

Teepee: Don’t have one yet, but I will be getting one if I win the basket =)

Personality: I’m assuming a filly, although the personality would be quite similar if it was a colt. The actual personality would be Zealous.

As a foal, she would be very energetic, and incredibly curious; quite the mix between her parents. Some would consider her silly and dense, but in fact she loves knowledge, and will go to extreme lengths to satisfy her craving for learning more about everything. Her motto is “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back!” – The kind of motto that will often get her into trouble. This quest for knowledge makes her brave to the point of actual stupidity.

As an adult, she would have evolved to a more down-to-earth mare. Her constant quest for knowledge has finally made her intelligent enough to know not to necessarily pursue at any cost. That doesn’t mean that she is less keen on learning more, and every time she sees something or someone new, she soaks it up in the exact same way she would as a foal. This enthusiasm can still make her careless, and ignorant of trouble.

Prompt: (You have just met another foal and realized that something is not right; they are a purebred Kalona. Shiori has always warned you about her negative experiences with Kalonas, and how they are dangerous soquili. It is dark, and you are in the middle of the woods, lost and far from home. What do you do?)

Vida was in the forest. Vida was alone in the forest. In the big, black and scary forest. And she wasn’t entirely sure where she was. But she wasn’t lost. Vida never got lost. Really! She was just having a momentarily lapse of navigational sense. Besides, it wasn’t really her fault that there had been a curious trail of foreign flowers that she had never seen before at the edge of the forest. They had been begging for her to study them. She had simply complied with their fervent wish. And then there had been this really interesting butterfly that she had stirred up when she had been examining one of the flowers, and it, too, had been asking her to follow it and look closer at it. Hadn’t she always seen her father follow around butterflies? Obviously, it must be a very common past time for soquilis such as her, and clearly, she should try it too. Clearly.

And so here she was, in a little clearing, deep in the forest, and no butterfly in sight. Well, she couldn’t really be completely certain of that, she rationalized; it was pretty dark, and there were trees all around the clearing, so there could technically be many butterflies, she just wasn’t capable of seeing them. Because she was a soquili, and soquili’s eyes didn’t adjust well to darkness. She had heard that somewhere recently. She hummed a little in pleasure. She was just so knowledgeable! She wasn’t entirely sure what knowledgeable meant, but she had heard her mother use the word a few days ago, and it sounded good. Now, to use that incredible intelligence of hers on getting back to her parents…

Now, what was that trick she had heard about? Right, turn around yourself three times, and then the way your head pointed was north. And you should always head north. Or something like that. Steadying herself, she ran in a small circle three times, and almost fell over. God, she hadn’t expected the wooziness. She would definitely note that for later attempts. And that was when she heard it; a twig snap behind her, and a low snicker. She registered that it sounded slightly menacing, but she didn’t really take much note of it. It was new, it was unknown, it was interesting! Peeking behind her, she saw a pair of bright red eyes, shining between the trees. That was so smart! With glowy eyes, one could probably see a lot better in the dark! Like little inbuilt bonfires (which she had seen at the human camp once or twice). She would have to look into that when she got back home again.

“What on earth are you doing??” said a voice that Vida placed as coming from the eyes. Huh, curious that; talking eyes. Definitely interesting! But honestly, they must be quite stupid, those eyes; it was quite obvious what she was doing. Well, she couldn’t expect every other living creature to be as smart as her, so she indulged anyways “I think that is rather obvious. But if you really can’t figure it out for yourself, I was trying to find a way out of the forest. The Three-turns-head-north way? I thought everybody knew about that…” she trailed off. Maybe that hadn’t been the right way to do it; she certainly didn’t feel any surer which way she was supposed to go. Then she brightened again “Maybe you could help me?? I’m trying to find my way back out of the forest, but I’m afraid I’m not entirely sure which way leads to out.” the forest rung silent after her sentence. The glowy eyes didn’t answer her, but merely stared at her. How rude. ”or maybe not” she muttered to herself. Just as she was about to turn and trot off again, she head some shuffling, and a few more branches snap. ”Sure, I know the way…” the eyes answered. Except, they weren’t just eyes anymore.

Another foal had stepped into the clearing, but there was something wrong with it. At first, Vida wasn’t entirely sure what was wrong. Ears like hers? Check. Four legs like her? Check. Hooves like her? Check. A long tail like her? Che-oh! Okay, so no tail like her. More like a long spiky tail. And then there were the horns. And the wings. The very menacing wings, at that. Oh, and the glowy eyes; she couldn’t forget the glowy eyes. And were those scales? Alarm signals went off somewhere far away in a deeper corner of her mind. Spiky tail. Evil eyes. Menacing wings. Horns. Oh... OH! Of course! A Kalona! Her mother had told her so much about them. She had told so many stories to Vida and her siblings about how Kalonas were evil and dangerous. And she had put a lot of weight on the evil part, why, she even made Vida promise that she would run in the opposite direction if she ever met one! Had she mentioned that they were evil? Probably. But this foal didn’t seem very evil to her. It had offered to help her, right? Besides, maybe she was just a little bit lost, and had no idea where to go.

”What?!” the other foal snapped. Vida pulled herself together; she had been staring. How rude of her. She shook her head, feeling her own mane bat against her neck. ”Nothing, I was merely… admiring your wings!” she piped up, and trotted over to the other foal ”I’m Vida, nice to meet you!. The other foal, a colt, she now noticed, looked down at her with some scorn in his eyes. It didn’t scare her, though, so she didn’t pay it much attention. He must be a bit older than her, considering that he could look down on her like that. She started to wonder how much older he could be, but her train of thoughts got interrupted by a sulky voice going “yeah, yeah, whatever, I just want you out of my forest” he started walking, and paused at the edge of the clearing “you coming??”.

Vida blinked and shrugged. That was fine by her, even if it was a bit rude. Besides, she would have plenty of time to study his interesting features as they walked. At first they walked in silence. She knew it would take a while to get back – it had taken a while to get here in the first place. She would watch him out of the corner of her eye, until he sent her an annoyed look, and she would shift her eyes to the path in front of her again. Until a few seconds later, where she would stare at him again. He was just so different!. Slowly, the silence started to bother her. She started to fiddle. Flicking her ears back and forth. Throwing her mane around. This was getting tedious.

”sooo… you never told me your name” she piped. He shot her a quick look ”It’s none of your business” he muttered. She cocked her head ”That… is an interesting name… I don’t think I’ve ever heard a name like that before…”. He looked at her with furrowed brows, and let out an exasperated sigh. ”I meant it’s none of your business what my name is… I just want you out of my forest”. She blinked a few times ”Oh… yeah, you said that already… the part about wanting me out of your forest, I mean”. They walked on in silence for a little longer. “So, how did this forest come to be yours, anyways? I didn’t know anybody owned it” . The other foal flicked his head in annoyance and grit his teeth ”I live here, that’s how”.
”All alone??”
”Yes, of course all alone…”
”oh…”
They walked on in silence again, until Vida broke the silence again. ”That’s rather sad”. He blinked in surprise ”What’s sad?. She cocked her head and looked at him ”That you live here all alone, of course! Where’s your family? Your parents?”. He looked away and mumbled so silently that Vida could hardly even hear him ”I don’t have any”.

Vida stopped in shock. He didn’t have any family?! Any parents!? How could that make sense?! EVERYBODY has a family. She didn’t know what she’d ever do without her own! Even if her older brothers bothered her sometimes, she still loved them dearly. They played with her every now and then, and she looked up to her; they were her best friends. Everybody deserved family and friends. Maybe that was why all Kalonas were so evil; if they never had any parents or any friends. Maybe... no, this was probably the most stupid idea she had ever had, but it was quite an interesting experiment. ”I’ll be you family then… well, not your family, but your friend!” the colt stopped short and stared at her with disgust on his face. ”What on earth makes you think I want a friend?!” he said, spitting out the last word. Vida shrugged ”Everybody needs a friend”. He shook his mane ”No. I don’t want to be your friend. Let's get one thing straight, little miss annoying, I'm only showing you the way because I want you gone from my territory, and I figured this would be the easy way. And will you look at that, we’re at the edge of the forest. So scamper off, little girl, and don’t bother coming back. I probably won’t be so nice next time”. He sneered and turned away; leaving Vida so she could just see where the trees started thinning out into a nice large field. She started trotting off, before turning around and yelling after the slowly disappearing colt “I’ll see you again sometime soon!”. She thought she heard him scoff, but she wasn’t sure. This had most certainly been a most interesting day in the forest. She would have to do it again soon.

Anything else? I don’t believe so? Aside from sorry for the length; I got a bit carried away once I started xD It was a great joy to write; loved the prompt! Thank you for the opportunity!
