Kelder laughed hysterically at Pippa's antics and pushed her a little with his muzzle to help her back to her feet.
"Alright then, let's go that way." he said still giggling before turning to his Momma and wagging his tail. "We can go, right Momma?"

Kokoro smiled, standing and shaking out her fur. "We certainly can go that way." She padded quickly over to the pups to watch over them as they entered the new area.
Back on her feet, Pippa pawed at Kelder and then ran after Kokoro, bolting past the adult and right through a small stream. She was already through by the time she registered the cold water that had dampened her paws, but she still yelped in surprise, spinning around with eyes wide, staring at the creek. "Cold!" She yelped in warning, shaking her paws off.

Kelder grinned ear to ear and chased after Pippa all the way until she crossed the small stream. He stopped short and almost tumbled onto his face before catching himself as he stood frozen in front of the water. He looked up to see her shaking off her paws as she yelped that the water was cold. Shivering a little, he looked back down at the water and gulped; he hated water.
"U-uh, Pippa?" he called out in a shaky voice. Come on Kelder...it's not even deep, it won't reach past your paws you can do it. Don't be such a wimp! He chided himself in his thoughts, trying to will himself to just go across so easily like Pippa did.

Kokoro was on instant alert when Pippa yelled, until she realized what it was about. "You silly thing." She said playfully. "Go run a little and get those paws dry." Instantly, she noticed stress within her son. She frowned slightly before smiling to cover herself. "And don't think I'm letting you get your paws wet in cold water." She said, quickly grabbing his scruff and skipping over the creek before setting him down. "I don't want you two getting sick." She showed no indication that she had noticed his fear. Maybe she would ask him later if it happened again...
Pippa wrinkled her nose at her damp paws before following her mother's instructions. She took off running, laughing happily as her paws dried in the grass. Though, dirt did stick to the damp fur, which she only laughed at as she ran back. "Kelder! I'm wearing people boots!" She squeaked, lifting a dirt dusted paw for him to see.

Kelder was relieved when his Mother came to his rescue, picking him up and escorting him over the small creek before setting him down again. With a smile he turned around and nuzzled her before skipping off towards Pippa.
"People boots?" he said in the midst of giggles as he examined her paw. "I want people boots too! Lucky duck!"
He made to pounce on her but rolled over onto the ground with a thud before laughing some more. He'd overshot his pounce and was now belly-up in the grass behind her.

Kokoro's tail swayed happily as Kelder showed his appreciation. it looked like she was raising a good set of children. Her face showed her pleasure, her eyes still watching for the safety of those pups.
Pippa jumped to the side, laughing at her brother and running after his, jumping over him a couple times. "People boots! People boots! Ducky, ducky, ducky!"

Kelder laughed hysterically at Pippa, still laying on his back. He rolled over as Pippa jumped over him and tried to pounce her again as she went by.
"Gotcha! Silly duck!" he half laughed, half growled playfully in mid-air.

Pippa yelped with a laugh as Kelder caught her, scrambling at the ground to get away. "Help! Help! He got meee! I needs a prince!"

Kelder play-cackled wickedly as he caught Pippa and she squealed for a prince. He held her as tight as he could but she was wiggling so much he was going to lose his grip any moment.
"I've got you little princess! There will be no escape for you, I'm going to put you in a stew! Mwuahahaha!" he declared trying to keep himself from bursting into another fit of giggles. He went back to cackling maniacally. He replaced the mock-evil look with a giant toothy grin as he turned towards his mother, "Look Mama, I caught me a princess!"

Kokoro clenched her jaws together to keep from laughing out loud. What a couple rambunctious children she had. "Well, what are you going to do with that princess? She must be far too nice to really put into a stew."
Pippa flailed and yipped. "No! I'm not good in a stew! Yuck! I'm all fur! Help, prince!" She yelped happily as Kokoro came to her defense. "Yeah! See? Much too nice, I am!"

Kelder paused a second, he face twisting up to ponder the thought as his mother asked what he'd do. He didn't really know, of course he wasn't actually thinking about it because he never really intended to do anything in the first place. Pippa's yelp at their mothers defend made him stop contemplating what wasn't going to happen and step off her, grinning.
"Alright princess, I shall let you go. You wouldn't be good in a stew anyway, I should rather have rabbit instead!" he said in a mock-old world voice. He laughed at himself immediately after, hearing himself talk like that was just too funny. "You're right, you're much too nice to put in a stew. Rabbit is tastier than you anyways, I've bitten your tail before and it doesn't taste very nice."
He laughed again, bounding away from Pippa while sticking out his tongue and wagging his tail.

Kokoro was barely able to keep from laughing at the kits' play. Putting into stews, princes and princesses, such imagination! "That's probably a good choice, Kelder."
Pippa ran a few feet away when she was released, then paused and curled up to lick her tail. Did she really taste so bad? So didn't think so... but... "Do I need a bath?" She wondered, licking more of her fur. She had just had a bath yesterday!

Kelder swirled around to see Pippa licking herself and vaguely heard her ask if she needed a bath, that made him feel bad. Hurrying back to his sister's side and nuzzled the side of her head and licked her ears.
"No you're fine Pippa, I was just kidding. You taste just fine, I just meant you wouldn't be good to eat." he said softly with a small smile on his lips.

Such funny children she had! Kokoro wished her mate was here, and her two other children. She sighed softly, looking back the way home was.
Pippa perked her ears, tail wagging at Kelder's reassurances. "Really? You're so nice!" She pawed at his nose, spun in a circle and started running around again. Sore moods never lasted very long with her.

Kelder sneezed when Pippa pawed his nose and then laughed. He felt better now that she wasn't sad anymore, he didn't mean to make her feel bad. Glancing back at his mother, he noticed she was looking in the direction home was.
"Momma wanna go home?" he called to her, tilting his head a bit. Trotting over to his beloved Mother he rubbed his head on her.
