...this was awkward. Kimbi stopped, the nerves gone from Ariza and transplanted into him. He waited, unsure if he she approach them by himself, or leave the little reunion to themselves. He knew them, sure, but it still felt...odd.

He felt the urge to wrap his wings around himself, but after a moment of noticing that nothing was happening, he wanted to smack himself. Oh, right. No wings. That was why it felt so odd. He had changed so much, and he wondered how it would be taken, the way he was now.

"Arizaaa..." He groaned as his back hit the ground, his own eyes closing as he grimaced, half expecting her to start licking him. Ugh... Sisters. If anything, it was at least good to know that some things never changed... "I'm not going to be for much longer if you don't get off of me. Gods what do they feed you here..."

It was likely to get him huffed at, or smacked, but at least she wouldn't be pinning him to the ground anymore.

He coughed to mask a laugh as he listened to his children, shaking his head slowly before letting his gaze wander. His brow furrowed slightly as his eyes paused on the lion that he assumed had come with Ariza; the one that she'd left to stand alone in order to tackle her brother. He felt like he should be defensive or tense, protective of this stranger so close to his family and his new cubs... But he wasn't. There was something too familiar about him for that.

"Ariza... You should introduce us to your friend." He murmured, eyes never leaving the other lion.

She did laugh at her children not able to cover it up with anything. Ariza had always been so expressive she should have known she'd do something like that to her poor brother.

Her attention only turned from them when she heard her mate speak. The young male that was left standing there looked familier.

"I am not fat!" She smacked her brother lightly before sliding off him. "They feed us what they should. You need to eat more." She poked his side where he was slimer than she and Shujaa.

"Hm? My ... Oh! Kimbi i'm sorry." She frowned slightly as she looked back toward the other male. "I didn't mean to leave you over there i just ... it's Kivuli and he's back." She smiled again before padding back over to Kimbilo.

"This is Kimbi. You remember him right?"

His eyes darted from each lion in a sequence, worry touching the corners of them as he took a step forward. He offered a nod to Tmabaa, and to Kindoro.

"It's alright," he replied to Ariza, torn between looking at her (and suffering a stare of doom) or keeping his eyes focused on everyone else. In the end, he felt like he'd lose either way. "I can understand."

He took another small step forward, another nod, only smaller, shorter this time. "Kimbilio," he replied with his full name, though most knew him by his nickname.

"I didn't say that you were fat. You came to that conclusion all on your own, Ariza." He couldn't help but grin. This was what he had missed about his own family. The ones that had adopted him amongst the Mtango'bui had their moments, yes, but every time he watched the true siblings interact he always thought of his own.

He took a step forward as Kimbilio did, head tilting slightly to the side as he recalled the familiarity of the name and the youth of the face. Eventually his furrowed brow smoothed away, a warm almost-smile curving the corners of his muzzle. "... It seems as though Kivuli's not the only one to return all grown up. It happens too fast. Seems like just moons ago you were all cubs."

That would be as far as Tambaa would let nostalgia take him for the day.

"Kimbilio ...." She stood up and walked over to the younger male before giving him a sniff. "You smell the same." She smiled. "But ... obviously there is something different about you. You do not look at all the same as you did the last time you visited"

"You implied i was fat which is just as bad." She huffed at her brother before looking at Kimbi. She didn't want to blurt out what he'd done if he didn't want to tell them directly

Kimbi paused, wondering how to explain it. It seemed so much easier to say it to Ariza, but there were many different reasons as to why it was so easy. This time, however, it was different. With her whole family standing right there.

"Well...I'm a little different," he replied quietly. "You've heard about Tawa'di, right?" Maybe they'd guess it for themselves...but in case not, he decided that he could just tell them.

"These wings on my back are nothing but a reminder of what I was. Being a god is something that I don't think I could ever completely explain, but I gave up my immortality to Tawa'di. He is an essential part of the Ela'wadiyi, and I couldn't imagine this land without him. As I'm sure much of the other members would agree."

He sighed, glancing over at Ariza. This...felt even more awkward to explain, in all truth. "And...I didn't want to keep living on in this state without Ariza." Gulp. Now he felt silly, really stating these feelings outloud for all to hear, but it was the truth. And now that it had been said, it would never change.

They would be a family together, here in the Ela'wadiyi lands, with it's old patriarch to guide them forever.

"We would all have missed Tawa'di" They had missed him for the bit he'd been gone but he had come back. In a way it was comforting to know that even the gods knew how much the pride would have missed their leader.

The second part caused her to raise a brow. Ariza hadn't told them she was seeing Kimbi. Not in that way

She looked over at Kimbi as he admitted to her family that he'd partially done it to stay with her. Somehow it felt more special to know that her family would know how much she meant to him. IT still made her giddy.

Shifting she leaned over so she could nuzzle into his fluffy mane. "He's going to stay with me, us, now. Part of the family"

He grinned sheepishly. Er, whoops. Guess he had broken the news. Oh well.

"Hope...you don't mind," he said, but he more than likely already knew the answer. Ariza's parents were loving with one another as well as their family, and surely they would see that Kimbi would take fantastic care of their daughter. Especially so as they would all be living together under the same part of the big blue sky.

"I like that," he said, feeling blessed to be part of such a family as Ariza's.
