Your opinion.
  South Park isn't at fault
  South WAS at fault
  I don't care
  They are both at fault

They have a tendency to prove their point thats why people get mad.

Exactly.
That's why this all seems stupid.
I saw parts of the new episode that were funny, but in general I think South Park has recently fallen into the trap of confusing loud and offensive with clever. Kind of like Carlos Mencia or any other comedian that gets laughs on shock value.
There old stuff was great. Their new stuff... I don't think it will even make sense in ten years.

Also, I'm not saying that it was right of those people to threaten the South Park creators, just that South Park shouldn't be surprised.
They're being as offensive as possible on purpose. This is probably the response they expected.
Also, it's just a website, right? I would hardly consider it a serious death threat.

You never know, it's coming from the same group that killed an actor and there has been crazy murders.

I'm sure fanatical Christians have threatened the writers before but we only bring it up when its the Muslims. Why do they throw a bigger fit, hold rallies and protest and everything else? Do they care more about there religion then the rest of the world? Do they have more fanatics? (and I serioulsy doubt that's the answer by the way) I'm curious to know what the Muslim opinion on the topic would be.
I don't think they're throwing a bigger fit. I don't really know South Park's history with what responses they've gotten from different religions (though I'm sure the Catholic community wasn't cool with them showing priests with little boys on leashes), but this looks like just a couple of posts on a website.
I think it's because it is a Muslim website that it got so much attention.

I meant crazier murders. sweatdrop
Like John Lennon for example.

As for who made the threat, it MAY not be the same group but it was by a radical muslim. The guy who made that movie actually had a cause when South Park was just trying to be funny.

Radicals of any kind have no sense of humor.

now, i have a number of Muslim friends, and an incredible amount of respect for the Islamic culture. so i say this with all due respect, and with honest love and respect for the religion.

please, SHUT THE ******** UP, YOU OVERSENSITIVE PANSIES! it's a damn cartoon about rednecks! stressed it's SUPPOSED to be making fun of s**t! and they didn't realy do anything offensive by it, yer being freaking rediculous! couldn't you have tried just explaining your opinion in a more calm fashion first, and then waited to explode (verbally only, i swear!) until after any rude responce (and only on the condition that they actually respond rudely)? seriously, you didn't even give them a chance to defend themselves for it.

sincerly, your non-Muslim brother,

that is all, Muslim people. -.-

Seriously, I feel that all religions make people nuts. I mean seriously, there was nothing offensive in that episode and Muhammed wasn't even shown. And who cares even if he was shown. Seriously, these people are psycho.

Seriously everyone gets crazy when it comes to religion. They also get self righteous and everyone should just chill out and not take it personally and not point fingers and blame those who do get upset.

i would respond this way to anyone of my friends. >.> i'm just saying they are being childish, and if they want to deny it then they can, but i'm gonna voice my opinion. it's nothing against Islam. it's this individual rabble of people, and it has nothing to do with their religion, it has to do with how i feel about people not being able to take a harmless joke. it's not like they were making fun of him.

now, if i didn't have any respect for them, i'd have been a complete a**. you don't even wanna know what i' say. there would a very long hyphonated word used to describe them... ninja

And Chieftain would that make you feel better? The best answer to anger is not to get angry. When we do get angry we speak and act without thinking and we quickly become the bad guys. I'm really good at keeping my mouth shut in the real world. people know i'm mad cause I shut up but i'm not so good at it on here but I at least try to not attack people. I try to be underhanded and make them look stupid which isn't any better. All I'm saying is if you wouldn't take the offensive people would not assume your being a jerk.

they can think that if they want. i'm an activist. i openly fight for what i wanna see change. if i have an opinion i'm gonna voice it. it's as simple as that.

All they're doing by threatening them is proving their point.

I've watched the episode. There was nothing that was seriously mocking Islam. It was all on how Muhammad couldn't be made fun of. Certainly it was nothing compared to episodes that were really offensive towards Catholics, Jews, Mormons and Scientologists.
It's kind of funny because it's just an issue of bad timing. In season 5 they did show Muhammad and no one really cared.

I think, if you're living in a country where people have the freedom to state their opinions, you should know how to be offended and take it maturely. You can't expect other people to change for you. This is broadcasted in the States, and if someone doesn't like it THAT much, they can just sue them the all-American way. Threatening to kill them isn't really helping you improve your image in the public eye (neither does suing anyone in my opinion, but at least that's legal).

Being an activist means that you try to improve things in a positive way are you doing that? Or are you making yourself fell better being morally right all the time? Morals are subjective by the way just cause they are yours doesn't make them right. I'm not arguing your opinion I'm arguing your way of expressing yourself. Just take a step back and see if someone was saying those things to you if you would take offense?
